Editing to update: As the owner of this business has been gaslighting us from the very get-go of this miserable post-move experience, I was still somehow surprised that he went so far as to be flat-out deceitful in a previous comment here that the OFT “sided” with his business. I immediately screenshot this comment and sent it to the OFT office. They thanked me as they said it was a serious misrepresentation of their office to report they took his side. They immediately sent him an email asking him to delete this comment. However, the owner found a way again to use misleading language to insinuate he was given some kind of thumbs up for his business practice. We are continually shocked by the arrogant belief that this business does not owe its customers full compensation for damaged property as so many removalists do, and that it additionally expects its customers to pay $400 toward its business insurance after it has broken their property. I will continue to update this comment as the owner continues to mislead future customers and not properly reimburse us for its expensive, hugely inconvenient mistake. Please safeguard your belongings by ONLY looking to the Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA) member listing before you book a removalist company. This business is NOT an AFRA member and does not adhere to AFRA’s best practices, which requires its members to fully insure/cover the property it damages. I contacted the AFRA and they said that Ben Moves Brisbane’s requirement (buried on BMB’s website and not in any formal customer contract) that its customers cover its $400 business insurance deductible is flat-out wrong and was appalled by this business operating this way, let alone that this business tried to convince us that this is how all removalist companies operate. It is NOT. This is the first time I have ever gone online to give a poor review to any company. That’s how bad this experience has been. We originally gave this business 5 stars because we really appreciated the kind, friendly removalists who worked very hard to move us in a quick, efficient manner. They alone deserve many more stars than this review. Unfortunately the business itself does not operate with the same friendly customer-centered manner. Based on the owner’s condescending tone and poorly handled aftermath of a brand new broken table, with no willingness by the owner to assume the financial responsibility for the admitted error, we were urged by the Office of Fair Trading to immediately lodge a complaint to investigate on our behalf.

We booked them a year ago to do our moving and everything went ok. Couple weeks ago we had to move again and we decided to hire them to do our moving as we didn’t have any problems last time. The truck came a bit late, which was ok but we were moving to a place 5 minutes away (one bedroom apartment where we took all of the small things ourselves, leaving only the big ones for them). The Australian guy was ok but the other guy was rude and unprofessional, always stopping to have a drink and chill. At the end it took them a few minutes more than what it supposed to be. They charged us extra. (We moved literally to the same neighbourhood). When my partner called to talk to Ben he was extremely rude to her, at the end we decided to pay the extra and forget this really bad experience. If you book them just be careful, by the replies here you can see that they’re never wrong. We will never hire they again. Unfortunately that was a really bad experience.

What a scorcher of a weekend with almost 40 degree temps!!!! So everything had been organised, time of work, kids looked after, bond clean booked for the old house what could go wrong? A Brisbane Feb heatwave with almost 40 degree temps and my move was booked for the next day! Then Jennie called me and asked if I was able to postpone my move due to the high temps, after explaining the situation Jennie went to work and came back with a solution we were both happy with. The following morning I was meet with Matt, Sean and Stevo on time and ready to go. From start to finish these boys operated with extreme professionalism and were very polite, and well mannered. Personally I manage a service based business and I have very high standards when it comes to operations and customer service. I could not recommend Ben Moves Brisbane highly enough. Absolutely a let down. We booked because this was a local business. Booked early and advised of moving time. A day before, we were told they have another booking with inflexible times and it is on us to move our booking and misquoted our email (saying that we never got back to them). Dodgy and rude and advised not to expect a truck from them the following day. Do not recommend, avoid at all costs. Very disappointing for a family business with so called rave reviews.. I note your reply and that you know is incorrect. More than happy to post our emails. We were not rude!!!! you Ben hung up on us and we had to call Jennie. Incredible that you twist the truth. You will not be getting business from us and anyone else we know. We have early access for boxes. In any event you have not expressed that you have difficulty with an 11 am booking tomorrow. Most unprofessional and I am prepared to take this further.

We had another removalist booked for a move last Saturday who was a no show at the last minute, and that company really couldn't have cared less about us. We needed to be moved that day so I rang "Ben Moves Brisbane" at 9.00am and I couldn't believe my luck, that Jennie confirmed two of their men, and a truck could be at our house mid morning. What fantastic service, especially last minute, they were able to accommodate us and their customer was so professional. Grant and Josh arrived and were amazing. Super friendly, packed up and unpacked everything in our home with such care and precision. If you are needing to be moved, look no further than this company. Moving is stressful, but from talking to Jennie to the two guys who moved us, it was such a nice experience. We couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I contacted Ben after I came across his business page regarding his moving services as I needed a pool table transported. Ben advised he does not provide that service (the job requires a lot more than just moving) however he did not just end the conversation there. Ben told me to give him a bit of time to do some research and he sent me a few phone numbers to see if they would be able to help. He even took the time out to text me to make sure everything was going okay and the numbers he sent me were helpful. I do not come across a lot of people who are so eager to help even knowing that he would not get paid for the job. I will definitely be contacting Ben and will not hesitate to refer him any business. Absolutely amazing service, humorous and fun! That is not how moving home is generally described but after 30yrs of Nightmare Removals in Brisbane my final last move is described happily as above! Grant, Joey and Josh arrived early and worked steadily all morning. They were very professional and respectful to us and each other. Very competent in removing some tricky and delicate items through some challenging stairwells and exits. I commented at the time that it took real skill. At one point, the boys were actually running up and down the stairs and did not take a break ..... never seen that before!! They were fantastic boys and nothing was too much trouble. Our booked removals let us down at the last minute on a Sunday night for moving early Monday, panic stations!!! The team were absolutely awesome. Efficient, careful, warm and friendly and just generally so nice. There were a few “surprise and delight” moments that really made a huge impact. For example, I forgot to get mattress protectors for the move and without me knowing, the team put some on from a stash they had. I only found out on the other end! I would not have expected this (and nor would I expect it again). It’s this no fuss but thoughtful approach that I think makes Ben Moves stand out. Plus they were on time/early! Ben Moves Brisbane are true professionals. They turned up on time and made our move seriously worry free and hassle free. I was nervous moving to a three level property and when they needed to they provided extra team members for the balcony lift and made it all possible. I’m so impressed at the level of energy this team displayed, our move took almost 12 hours and even at the last minute when I needed some extra assistance they were patient and helpful. I moved a couple of weeks ago in Brisbane using Ben Moves Brisbane. Michael and another guy (who's name I forget) showed up on time, were professional, friendly, worked quickly and without any issues - even when the lift in my complex decided to give up. I've moved quite a lot in the past and this is the first time I didn't have any issues at all (at least with the removals). They were not the cheapest quote I got - but they were only marginally more expensive and definitely worth it. They'll be my first quote next time I move.

This company were fantastic from start to finish! The quote was prompt and well priced, and the customer service from Jennie was great. On the day of the move itself the guys were friendly, quick and efficient - impressive considering we were up 3 flights of stairs. They were on time and did an amazing job, including taking our bed apart and then putting it back together at the other end, and even set up our washing machine for us at the new place. 10/10 would 100% recommend and will use again in the future!

I used Ben Moves Brisbane to relocate my office. The team were professional, polite and punctual. The men did a great job and moved my office with care. In my experience with moving, removalists can be a debated topic on value for money. However, Felipe and Gabriel were worth every dollar we spent. Quick, professional and always so careful of our stuff. Best experience ever. We’ve moved a lot! Internationally and locally. Ben’s crew were polite, professional and their care and experience showed. It was slightly more costly than other local moves but for us the way in which things were packed and delivered ALL undamaged was so worth it. They broke my tv, I specifically asked if it would be fine to transport and their staff said yes. The owner Michael Ceva won’t allow me to do an insurance claim and we have to use lawyers. We have sent photos of the broken tv and they won’t do anything about. I have still paid them for their services as we always do, but horrible service not allowing an insurance claim

No actual ability to speak somebody. Calls always hung up on but can text message fine instead of returning a call. It’s been more than a week since telling me they’d arrange another date after cancelling one made prior. I appreciate how business can get busy but customer service should always be priority. Review based on quality of customer service not the move.

What made the day was their two workers "JACK" and "TOM" . FANTASTIC, cooperative, understanding, on time, never taking breaks, ready to take on big furniture.

James and Yuri were my removalists for my move today. They were both very professional and helpful. Making sure everything was placed where I wanted it. Booked and confirmed a move for a certain time as moving into a unit complex with allocated moving times and then Ben's Moves went and changed the time without advising and were not willing to change it back to the original agreed/confirmed time. There response was to use someone else. Avoid if your after reliability.

Could not recommend Ben Moves Brisbane enough! Felipe and Gabriel were professional and respectful towards our belongings. Not only did they pick up from our apartment and storage unit as part of the run, they contended with two flight of narrow stairs at the drop-off, navigating large items into the apartment ease.
