Today's experience with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, evaluation and replacement of the water softener system, was outstanding from start to finish. First of all, they had an appointment opening for today. This in and of itself was great. Ryan Ahnberg, The plumber, was right on time and was as knowledgeable, courteous and professional as anybody could want. He explained in terms I can understand exactly what was wrong with my water softener, tested my water both inside and outside the home, clearly showing that my system was non-functioning. After this, he showed me options for replacement of my water softener and prices without any push to upsell to a more expensive or larger model. After sitting down with me and explaining the options and allowing me to express my concerns or questions, he allowed me the time to make a decision. He was able to call his office and within a short period of time a second truck brought out the appropriate model water softener and parts needed to complete the installation. Two other young gentlemen from Benjamin Franklin assisted with with the removal of the old system and installation of the new system. Again both were friendly and courteous and knowledgeable. Installation was completed very quickly, the system turned on adjusted and tested by Ryan. He made certain that the faucets were showing soft water before he left. The difference is dramatic. By the way during the time he was waiting for the water softener and parts to come to the house, Ryan did a free inspection of our sewer lines under the house using a pretty neat scope system. No problems there. All in all, this is the best plumbing service we have had to date in San Antonio. By the way, last year we also used the associated electric company, Mr Sparky, for some electrical repairs in the house. They also did a great job.

Ethan, and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, were. Wry helpful. Ethan was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and understanding. Because another contractor had caused an electrical problem causing many thousands of dollars in damage, both Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Mr. sparky came to our rescue. Ethan, and all concerned, were sensitive to our understandable worry and upset. They made sure we understood the situation, and how best to deal with it. Ethan worked hard to try and find the necessary parts to fix our nearly new tankless water heater, heckling with both the manufacturer and other retailers. He was genuinely apologetic when said parts were not only not available, it there was no timeline for their availability. He was able to procure the necessary replacement water heater for the next day, fully understanding, and apologizing for the increased cost, leaving the decision up to me. I would highly recommend this company, and plan to continue using them myself for annual maintenance for the water heaters, and any other plumbing issues that arise. The same goes for the Mr. Sparky side of the house.

From start to finish this company was fantastic. The scheduler was friendly and attentive, she was quick to gather my information and put in an emergency repair request. Also, as time past, I received regular updates as to when the plumber would be headed my way and an update when he had actually began his drive to my home. Ethan showed up, he was extremely friendly and professional. He advised me of other service options and was respectful of the fact that I'm just looking for the band aid fix so I can replace the water heater in a few months. Ken, his manager, also stopped by to make sure Ethan had help if he needed it. Ken was also extremely friendly and answered my questions about replacing the water heater in the future. It was refreshing to have a company not trying to hard press you into selling you more than you can afford at the time. All around, this company was a great experience. I'll be using the Benjamin Franklin for all my plumbing needs in the future as well as the water heater replacement. I will also be recommending this company to everyone that has any plumbing needs.

I can not recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and specifically Ryan enough as they have far exceeded my expectations from a plumbing company. We have had multiple issues with plumbing and finding the source of the leak and Ryan and their team has been outstanding in their dedication to making sure our issues are taken care of and resolved. They have shown a great deal of professionalism, customer service, and knowledge. They made sure they gave me multiple options for each repair and gave me the right to choose which repair option and cost fit our needs. This was something I have never really seen before and was extremely impressed at their consideration. The crew at Benjamin Franking are no slackers! Brian demonstrated a friendly, yet professional demeanor when we spoke. He described what he was doing and some additional information about the equipment he was installing. I wanted a top of the line water heater and that's what I got. For 27-years I've had a mini-waterheater installed under the A/C unit, thats how it was built. I now have a full-size unit with a lifetime warranty. Brian will be back in the morning to finish the final things to complete this install but overall, he is representative of the caliber of folks Benjamin Franklin employs. Ryan was very professional and showed up on time. I called Ben Franklin because I had a clogged / slow washing machine drain. My washer is in my garage, and nothing I tried worked to clear the drain. Ryan looked at my house's plumbing layout before he began any work. He gave me multiple options and price levels for various levels of repairs. Once I selected the repair option that I wanted, he started the job. He explained everything to me as he did the job. It was all very informative, and I appreciated that. I would recommend this company, and Ryan, to anyone with plumbing issues.

This company has good values and very professional employees and the response is on time if not sooner on arrival time. Mr. Brain and Mr. Justin were very good at what they were doing, they arrived to my address, and explain what they were here to do and went at it during their inspection of the plumbing system they explain everything they were looking at and doing and ask if we had any questions along the way, Mr. Brain and Mr. Justin are very professional and have very high values for their work I will definitely call on them again and recommend to family and friends. As a new homeowner and new to San Antonio, we’re so thankful we have a plumber we can rely on. Ryan walked us through all our options and understood our current budget restraints. He’s easy to work with, always responds to questions we have, follows up on his work to address any issues we may be having, and above all else has consistently resolved our 2 water leaks, installed our new water heater, new water softener, new spickets, and dishwasher removal. Ethan and Brian came out to our house today to address a tankless hot water heater that wasn't working. It is an older unit and we were concerned that we were going to have to buy a new one. Great company to do business with. Our showers and toilets were backing up. We had a company come out to fix the problem but couldn’t figure it. We then got a recommendation from family to contact Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. They came in and were able to find a solution and found things the other company didn’t have the knowledge for. Ryan and Benjamin Franklin was awesome and cleared the problem with our main sewer line.

I was very impressed and appreciative how fast they responded and came to address the issue with my water heater. I had an emergency repair needed on a fractured water pipe going into my home. Jonathan was the plumber that responded to the service call and kept me informed during the whole procedure. He and his assistant staid on the job until midnight and returned at 6 AM the next day to complete the work. My house was flooded from a broken pipe, I called everywhere and I spoke to an amazing CSR Natalie, she helped me and sent out a tech name Martin, He did an amazing job and came out in a timely manner. Cannot say enough about the services provided by Ryan. He came out after hours (day of call) and had water heater up and running on temp basis allowing our family to shower, etc, until we could have full replacement completed. Wonderful service!!! I called concerned about a broken pipe because my backyard was flooded. They were at my house in minutes!! Martin was so friendly and patient with me (I was freaking out a bit, haha) Turned out to be my neighbors issue so I didn’t need any repairs. Ethan is very professional and has a caring attitude. He explained the options available to me to repair my broken water line. Since my SAWS water meter shutoff valve is broken he said we have to wait until that is fixed before the repair is made.He even called SAWS for me to expedite the water meter repair. The plumber was very informative on what was happening with my water heater and what needed to be done to repair. Took care of my issue in a timely manner will be using them from now on very satisfied with the work.
