This is an issue I had with Best Buy’s online order. The experience I had with this local Best Buy was quick and easy and the associate who processed my refund was great! This review does not reflect the local store, but Best Buy as a whole. Just had an awful experience with Best Buy. Luckily it did all get resolved finally, but not without help from someone at the corporate office. Their regular customer service had me running in circles and jumping through hoops trying to get a defective item they sent me replaced. I was told the replacement item would be shipped to my house in two days. I stayed home all day expecting the delivery, and when nothing arrived, I contacted customer service who assured me it was still being shipped and would arrive in the next couple of days. I waited patiently. Three days went by, and I didn’t even receive a tracking number via email. Contacted customer service again, was told the same thing. It’s still coming! Just be patient! Three more days. Nothing. Contacted them again and this time the customer service rep tells me there is a hold on my order that was dated over a week ago and the only way to remove the hold would be to call their customer service number and do it over the phone. I call the number. The rep tells me there is no hold and the package is on its way! I ask them to check again because I was just told there is a hold. They check again and confirm there is a hold but they don’t know why. I know she was trying her best, but her English was not very good. I asked her to connect me to a supervisor and was told there were none available. At this point, I was at a complete loss as to what to do about it, so I complained publicly to Best Buy on their Facebook page. That’s how I got connected with someone from the corporate office who was able to resolve the issue for me easily. Unfortunately the replacement they sent was also defective. I returned it to a local Best Buy for a full refund. Won’t be making large purchases there again unless they make drastic changes to their customer service. That was such a hassle. Their basic customer service is horrible. Shop elsewhere for your large purchases, save yourself the stress. The person from corporate was very very helpful and did a great job! I wish their basic customer service was as good. It would have been way less of a hassle and you would not have lost someone who has been a loyal Best Buy customer for many years. Used to get my appliances from your stores. I won’t be doing that again until you fix your horrible customer service.

I'm giving 3 ⭐'s for the fact that the person who assisted us was knowledgeable on the services of the equipment needed, however, when we purchased an "open box" product that was considered to be in "extremely satisfactory" condition (described to us as basically new, but only used as a floor model), the MOST IMPORTANT part was NOT in the box upon arrival at our residence. it was promised to us that, upon purchase, it would be as though we purchased a brand new item off the shelf, with all equipment necessary, in the box. The power supply cord was missing. Due to conficlting schedules, we weren't able to return to the same location the next day, so we went to a closer location a few days later. They assisted us to the "best of their abilities", but it was a more dissatisfactory solution as it literally did nothing at all. They provided us with a power supply that had multiple connectors and neither fit. I called and was informed to return the monitor to any location and they could look to see what power supply the monitor took and they would order it. To my knowledge, they would have this information in store based on the product sold, but apparently not. We're returning the monitor to the original location, which happens to be a disservice to us as we purchased this monitor specifically at Best Buy with the other products to be covered on the Total Tech plan. In the meantime, we had to purchase a different monitor somewhere else, negating the reason behind everything. We would have waited to return to the store, but my husband needs his PC for work-related reasons, so a monitor was needed quickly. This has been a complete nightmare with having to go back to a store location that is over an hour away from our residence, just to return something that should have been fully packaged with all the equipment in the first place. Due diligence was not completed and it has completely disrupted all that was supposed to be taken care of. This isn't the first time I've had issues with Best Buy not taking proactive measures, which resulted in extremely dissatisfactory results.

EDIT- I wound up buying another TV, this time a 75 inch. I brought the SUV with the luggage rack on top as the TV wouldn't fit into my SUV but it was a perfect for the rack. When they approached the car the lady asked where I was putting it and I said on top and she said "no you're not". I was kind of surprised by this and asked "what?" She told me if it falls off that they are liable. I assured her that it's a luggage rack and is made to hold things down on top of the SUV during long trips and such and there was no way anything was flying off. I also added I would sign something stating I take full responsibility for anything that happens but I just needed a hand sliding this huge TV onto my SUV. She refused, even though we were at the curb she rolled the cart with my TV back to the sidewalk and they sat it down on the concrete and told me to have a good day. I managed to do it all myself and got my TV home just fine but it was 10am and there was no need for the attitude. Like I did something wrong. Will not be picking anything up from here ever again. With the location, I'm not gonna lie, I was a little worried about picking up my TV I had bought online. I had never gone to this store but knew the location wasn't in the nicest of neighborhoods. Surprisingly, the store was clean and everyone was super nice. I didn't know where to go at first so I asked a guy working at the cell phone kiosk and he pointed me to the pick up line. As I walked to the line a gentleman was ahead of me being helped but then another employee came over and helped me. With in a minute I was heading back outside to open up the truck and they're were right behind me with the TV. They loaded it and were very friendly! Great experience!

I went in to buy a phone today and the staff had little effort for the interaction. The 3 different display model phones I pointed out they didn't have in stock. After signing everything for my fourth choice which I didn't particularly want, as I was about to pay the card reader showed the wrong phone. They didn't bring out the one I chose. They had already added this phone to my account. After insisting I didn't want it, it took the staff a while to take the phone off my account which they assured me they did. I left and thought I'd be better off buying from the phone network. After leaving I look at my phone and I have no signal, I try to make a call and it had been disconnected. So I had to call my phone network and disconnect the phone I never bought and to make mine work again. And everyone wonders why online shopping is killing retail....

Don’t waste money on the 2 year warranty. I bought a HP 5255 last year and was advised to buy the $9.99 2 year warranty. They said if any issues with the printer they would exchange it for the same model or next upgrade if it wasn’t available during the next 2 years. That all changed when I brought it to them yesterday due to a few broken pieces that keep making the paper get jammed up. They said that I could purchase the next model up for $229.99 since they no longer carry the printer I purchased and they would credit my purchase price towards it. Mine was on sale for $69.99 when I bought it last year. The regular price was $149.99. $160 to replace my printer that I purchased for $69.99. Sounds like a great deal. The current score with me versus Best Buy is now: Best Buy: 2 - Me: 0 I really need to quit shopping there.

The long haired Geek Squad supervisor was argumentative with my wife at the initial visit, and while we had an appointment, they couldn’t accommodate us b/c “he was getting off in 15 minutes and the other guys are slammed.” We had to leave our computer. When I returned to get it, I guess I didn’t bring the slip and my wife’s name was the primary account holder, so they wouldn’t release it. The same supervisor was yelling across the floor that “it’s policy” instead of talking to me like a person. When the manager came over, he reiterated that there’s nothing they could do, ie he couldn’t call the customer and ask if it was ok to release her product while taking a photo of my ID. It was obvious they didn’t care. So I guess we’ll drive another 40 mins for a third time, in 30 degree weather, with 2 kids in tow. Awesome.

So I see a guy walking by me that work there and I ask if he can help me and he's answered was,there is a lot of other people over there that can help you and he point out a group of employees that was standing by the entrance door,so I say alright I guess he don't want to help me out,so I go tours tha entrance door where the group of employees were standing at and I ask one of the young guys is any way you can help me out I just trying to buyone of you ring cameras,and he reply well can you get it your self,so I'm just like ok no problem and everyone knows that all the ring cameras are kept under a monitor and they are locked so I say ok and I walked to ask and other guy and he finally was able to get that camera finally I'm a regular costumer in there and is disappointed that this store has to become like this!

I filed for an application, and after about 2 weeks I get a phone call, asking me some questions, and am told that I'll get a call back. So I wait, and wait... A little over a month later I decide to give them a call, and an employee answers, I ask about my application and I am told that the call I previously received was telling me that the position I filed for was denied. The hiring manager couldn't even tell me herself that I was being denied, she had to have an employee tell me. Which is also a lie, because I never received a call telling me that. I was told that I would be receiving a call about an ins store interview... If that is how you treat people trying to work for you, I would hate to see how you treat customers and actual employees. I'm glad I got didn't receive the position...

buyer beware, we were up at this location a few weeks back on 9/10, looking to buy a 70” samsung, we glanced at their open box 70” lg spoke to whom seemed to be the manager over that area, asked about how long it had been open box and on display and our concerns, he said specifically he just opened it and put it on display last week. We get home mount it on the wall and find lines running up and down on the screen then found lg actually shows hours of use under settings, this tv has had over 6500 hours of use, which is 270 straight days of use. Explains why it has the lines and burnt image in the screen. will never go back for the fact the guy lied to me, too much trouble now trying to take it down from the wall and return it. Use caution if you shop here and don’t trust the sales people.

The geek squad was awesome they fixed my chromebook with no graduation 3 no problem and the geek that fixed it was the star of this review i would love for him to fix anything else i have to offer him to fox he was nice and he dresses up nice he looked clean one things for sure and one things for certain he didn't even Look like he would be someone that fix computers he looked like a totally different person also he took his time and went back to his computer to carefully and seriously slowly take his time to search the tight resources and look up the correct tools to fix my chromebook and by doing that he aced it he kilt it and did his job the way it was supposed to be done and for that reason i give him 5 stars and a very good rating/review like no other awesome job

We just moved here from Valparaiso and needed to upgrade out living room TV I came the store I normally would browse before I purchase however I was in the store for at least 20 minutes + I am African American and no store let us walk around their store without inquiring l waved at store clerks and was ignored I waved my hands in the air I started walking to the door and a clerk appeared with a customer and I stalked him until he was finished with the customer and he finally helped me, this should never happen I purchased a 60" LG TV why because Best buy is one of the electronic stores left in America I am still upset about what happened. I had purchased a washer and dryer from this company, first they bring the wrong ones. Then the men that delivered it complained and refused to take out our old dryer. They also lied and said they couldn’t install it due to bad parts on our end. Turns out all of our stuff is fine.We hired someone to install it and turns out they never brought us all of the pieces to connect to dryer. It seems as if the box that came was a returned product missing multiple pieces. Most items shown on the diagram on the box were not included. Would not recommend spending this much money to not get the products you paid for or the instillation. I am highly disappointed and very frustrated. Here I go to the laundry mat yet again….to spend more money

I feel like not many people use or go into stores of this nature much anymore with the development of online buying and ordering. But I went in just to look at a simple product just to see what was available (a tower fan) I had strolled around for a very short amount of time and was greeted by several different employees. At the home electronics department I was happily greeted by a super nice young lady and her name escapes me for whatever reason. But she was super sweet and helpful, though I know many people don't use places like BestBuy anymore, just off of this one employee's helpfulness and kindness I would recommend using this store and at least going in to get an idea of what you are going to be buying.

This sign is blocking the sidewalk, causing anyone using the sidewalk to have to exit for a moment to go around, which for those using wheelchairs or any other device with wheels, is a serious safety issue. I’ve also had issues with the sidewalks here in the past, even having been ejected from my chair once due to a chip out of the sidewalk. Both the sign and unsafe sidewalk were immediately in front of the Best Buy, and when the previous issue happened I had asked an employee about contact information or speaking to management or anything in regard to addressing these concerns and they had no idea what to do or who to talk to.

An originally $1,900 computer I bought on sale for $1,250 arrived broken. The screen arrived damaged and when I used tech support online they were “unable” to do anything for days. I brought the computer in to be exchanged and have my data transferred. The manger then tried to sell me a $200 tech support subscription to transfer my data to the new computer. When I told her I was unable to spend as much she told me that she could not exchange the computer for the sale price and tried to sell me the replacement for $1,900. I now have a computer on the way and all of my files are gone. Very very aggravated.

Walked in and immediately was greeted by a young that was really enjoying his job. Also there was hand sanitizer available and he suggested that everyone use it as they entered. I was directed to the right are of printers and with great success they guy working in that area know his stuff. He suggested a printer fit for me with the needed info I provided. Inexpensive, durable and very user friendly. He even suggested a link cartridge program that I should commit do that would save me money. Sounded good so I went for it. Thx to Best Buy for the proper training of this guy he is the man. Thx printer guy.

Their customer service is TERRIBLE. They all appear as if they hate their jobs and when you ask a question they make you feel like you are a nuisance. Once I finally asked the same question about a gaming monitor that I was there to buy to the 4th employee and he was actually able to give me an answer rather then sending me to someone else not only did he not know what he was talking about but told me what I already knew and that is they are way overpriced and I could get it much cheaper elsewhere. Now I remember why I stopped shopping there many years ago!

Arrived 30 minutes til close but knew what I wanted to purchase. Asked for directions to kitchens appliances. Saw an employee stocking coffee makers and he offered help. So, after looking at the space saver microwaves I made a choice. The rep scheduled my install and walked me up front whereupon a cashier rang my purchase. Was thanked before leaving. Was a new rep only there 2 weeks. The installers were on time and did a good job. At the store at least 3 employees walked by without acknowledging me. Besides that I would recommend this store.

Dude was walking around wearing a best buy sticker or placard and smelled like weed and didn't look like he worked there, wasn't happy and Informed the workers. Potential scamming be careful. Was asking to help me?? But got the weird sence going.... Oh ya. Best buy said he didn't work there. So really 4 stars. But I was there 20min. Low crowd so best buy should have picked up on him faster. I Kno these places are potential spots for scams and rip offs. I'm not talking best buy at all love best buy. But the people that leach off the place.

I am currently standing at the counter attempting to pick up my laptop. I was told two days ago that it was ready & that I could pick it up at 7:20pm. However this was an inconvenience for myself with small children and dinner to prepare. I requested an earlier time and was informed that I can do a walk in. Today both Jeffrey and Mike were beyond helpful in getting me squared away. I appreciate the customer care that was shown. And the flexibility that was given to allow me to pick up my device on a schedule that works for me.

Update 2021: Still terrible and the staff is unfriendly. Avoid this Best Buy. Greenwood and Castleton both are much better and more friendly staff. Horrible customer service! Bought a new halo 5 Xbox one controller and when I opened it, it was a used regular version inside! Went back to talk to them and exchange it and they were very rude and told me they would not help! Ended up talking with corporate and they referred me to a different best buy here locally and they were outstanding!

Horrible customer service when you have a legitimate problem with a product, Multiple stories why can’t and won’t take care of the problem . Was told if you don’t buy the Best Buy extended warranty there’s no coverage as soon as you walk out the door. Spent thousands and they won’t take care of a pair of Bose ear buds. Approached the customer service person told them I had a pair of Bose his response “ thats your 1st problem bub ” What a disrespectful staff

In store where I purchased it from, they had to order it because it was out of stock. Associate was very helpful and knowledgeable about technology. I was looking for a gaming PC. The associate was working with me , showed me this cyber power PC. Overall this cyberpower pc a Great PC, huge step-up from our old one. Extremely quick and has a great amount of storage. Handles high quality games great. The fans aren't very noisy. LEDs in the dark look amazing.

Was looking for a phone case and couldn't find the ones for my phone (same model as one that they sell). Looked the entire store over for an employee and found 1, who was checking out people. Asked him for help and he said no one is available. Between that, and the person I called at that store (to see if they even had the phone available to buy) who wanted a credit card number to even check stock availability, I'm done shopping at Best Buy.

I went in to find knowledgeable assistance of the purchase of an outdoor theater system. Unfortunately the young man who was assigned to the department had no knowledge of them and was only using his phone to look at the options available in his store. I can remember back in the not so distant past when you could go to Best Buy and learn about the product so you could make the best decision. I'm back to counting on Google.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how you look at it) the place is never really busy so help will usually find you before you find rpbem if you look like you even might have a question about something.. The people I've talked to seemed reasonably knowledgeable about the department they were in. Price matching to Amazon was easy-peazy! (Please don't go out of business like 1/2 the other sites on the east side!)

The visit overall was fine. Once we got someone to help us, they were great. What I don't understand is, why does it take so long to checkout? Nobody in front of us, there wasn't a wait to BE checked out. Just to buy a small speaker component, no warranty yes or no, no protection plan discussion or anything. It took several minutes for the single item to be scanned & paid for. It was very frustrating.

Employees were awesome. I bought having trouble transferring my songs library from my old iPod to my new one. Two of the dales staff came to my rescue and showed me how to correct the problem in just a couple minutes. I must say, Best Buy employees are the most knowledgeable and helpful employees I've ever encountered. Kudo's Best Buy!!! I'll definitely go to Best Buy for my future electronic needs.

I did an online order and picked it up in the store. The order was ready for pick up within an hour and pick up was quick and easy. Ohhhhhh and my purchase? 2 Harman Kardon Onyx 6 speakers for my daughter's wedding reception. I purchased a couple of early versions years ago and honestly, they still sound amazing but for the battery and ability to connect multiple units, it was time for an upgrade.

The associates would rather talk to each other than pay attention to, let alone help, customers. I get better customer service from a grocery store self checkout. I guess they won't have to work as hard if they chase all the customers away. I know I won't be going back to this location, unless it's to bring my own associates there for lessons on what NOT to do when it comes to customer sevice.

Went in today, and needed help with laptop and was sent to geek squad and was told it was going to be 100.00 to do a reset the nerve when I paid for the service. But mr.wesley csr pulled me to the back with great attitude and precision got me up and going, truly greatful and appreciative for his compassion to let the customer walk away uncertain if I was going to return. Scamers here they have skimmers on their check out lanes, they don’t honor total tech issues, treat customers horrible. Go to any bestbuy and run from this one. When confronted about the credit card skimmer the manager said to put it back since they had a line of people to check out. So let them get scammed of money from their account? You guys are horrible human beings!

The store was busy. Was there hour b4 closing. Usual scheduling and call ins. They were a little short staffed. Super helpful when it was my turn. Not rushed, gave me all info I needed. Had been in to view and came back to buy laptop. Have always had good experience at this store. Have to be patient at all retail these days. Appreciate the folks who show up to work!

I was in need of a new remote control for my LG tv and Sony dvd blue-ray player, so I was going to purchase both items until the very nice salesman mentioned that I didn't have to purchase both. I could purchase one that will control both. So saved me money, which I was very thankful! I would give 5 stars but haven't programmed it yet to see if it works!

They had an employee approach & attempt to assist me in the search for a phone. That's where the " good" part of the visit ended. ( & the only reason I gave as many stars as I did!) The person wasn't well versed, or well informed on the types of phones, or the different plans. He went round in circles. In my humble opinion, they should've trained him better!

I have to give a huge shout out to Richard (Geek Squad) guy earlier tonight around 6:40pm I had an issue with connecting my camera to my laptop that took me 8hrs to figure out my own but failed but Richard understood what the problem was and show me how to solve my issues under 5 minutes! So I thank you Richard for your guidance and assistance. 10/10

Awesome Went in looking for something. I thought I needed but luckily Stephen. Showed me what I needed to get. For my truck to get the system installed really cool dude, very full of knowledge He actually save me a bunch of money. By not buying stuff I didn't need. It's nice when you can go somewhere and they have knowledge that you are looking for.

Great location, great staff! We went at 6pm on a Saturday, wasn't super busy , and many employees asked if I needed help, when I had questions they answered them , after an hour of being picky , we found what we wanted and headed to checkout , we were waiting in line and an employee jumped on a register so we didn't wait long . Great experience!

Bad customer service after I waited a good 10 to 15 mins. The one guy was waiting on a customer after he finished he seen me there needing help with my laptop in my arms and just walked away. Then had to wait for the other guy and one from geek squad. That was the FIRST time I'd been in the E Washington store and it will be my LAST!!!!

Shannon was wonderful. He helped us figure out what router and modem we needed, as well as many other things we went there for. Ordering online is great, but when you need something now, a store is needed. He even offered to price match without us having to do the leg work. It's service like that they keeps us going back to the store.

This has been my go to Best Buy for years. Can usually always find what I want at this location, even when it's not available at others. Staff is friendly, helpful and not too pushy. I am the type of shopper that would prefer to have as little human interaction as possible when at a store, and it has never been an issue here.

Had my new computer for under a month and it's already locked up. Got a TV from them, had it a week, it went black. I ask questions, they're deer in the headlights. They ignore questions. I'm usually not a fan of a place like this where everyone has that salesman/woman vibe, and I imagine most people feel the same. With that said, I've not felt like that. The employees are all very nice and helpful. The online ordering w/ 1hr. pickup is super convenient. I would recommend they're doing a great job here.

Total tech is a scam, they say it covers ALL your electronics even those not purchased with them but it does not! If your monitor goes out they will tell you to buy a new one so the $300 a year is a scam and not worth it. Go to castleton bestbuy they are way more professional and they take care of the customers!

Ordered a new washer and dryer. I was told it would be delivered in a week ended up being two weeks and the side of the dryer was dented in so bad it was rubbing and sounded like a jet engine taking off. Tried to order a replacement only to be told its no longer in stock and they will not be getting anymore

Very good customer service. Took my mom to look for a refrigerator and we received help right away. The gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable. Even though we had a minor issue with payment he was very patient with us as we finally made our purchase. I hope to come and buy a laptop soon from here.

Haven't been inside the store in over two years... I was pleasantly surprised at the remodeled layout. Very clean and open. No need to turn sideways to get past someone in the isle like at our cramped Fry's. They don't have the same selection, but the shelves were stocked with higher quality products.

Used Geek Squad service for a same-day glass replacement on my Samsung phone today. Took just over an hour. It was much cheaper than replacing the phone under the protection plan and I didn't have to go through the hassle of reloading everything on a new phone. Great service. Fair price. Very quick.

I always dig best buy... Only issue I have with this store is how hard it can be to get assistance. A lotta items are in locked cases and I don't wanna spend 35 minutes trying to get someone to unlock a case. I have since only done curbside or in store pick up so I don't have to wait as long.

Associate helped me find a refrigerator that wasn't on the floor, but in the back. She explained the warranty info on tge fridge. The guys at tge door loaded me up and gave me advice on transporting it. Folks who care about their jobs and give you great service are rare these days!! Thank you

Best buy said they would price match a competitor, but once I got there, the in store reps told me no. Staples had a coupon on their website that gave $10 off for every $50 (upto $250 - $50 off). Don't see the point in having policies, if you're not going to follow them, or just cherry pick.

Microsoft will tell you to go to 'any' BestBuy if you need your Xbox fixed but turns out they will only service your unit IF you bought it from them. Just a heads up! Less star for the associate who took my unit and failed to realize and only informed me 3weeks after.
