Be aware of deliveries. I purchased a TV on Monday before Black Friday. The Black Friday sale ran that whole week. I called the store, but was informed the Ahwatukee store I called, my local store, doesn’t accept phone calls and everything is routed to a call center. None of the stores you call pick up. It’s all routed to a call center. I purchased the TV through the call center, because I already knew the one I wanted and thought it would be more convenient. The delivery was set up for the following Saturday. Saturday came and the delivery drivers drove past my condo twice and left. I watched the box truck drive west through the lot, then 2 minutes later east. I walked outside figuring they were having a hard time seeing the building numbers? I stood in the parking lot in front of my door, but the truck just turned onto Chandler Blvd and left. Best Buy never called. I contacted Best Buy and the customer service representative told me they contacted the driver and the driver told them they knocked on my door at 9.10am and no one answered. That was a lie. They also said they came back at 9.30, that was a lie. I was on the phone with Best Buy at 9.30am. Eventually they said they didn’t have my building number, but I told the call center person my building number and that it was located directly above my door. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had buying something online, or in this case from Best Buy over the phone and having it delivered. Best Buy is trying hard to compete with Amazon I’m sure, but wow was this a bad experience. On top of the delivery drivers not stopping or calling and just leaving the parking lot, Best Buy sent all my receipts to the wrong Email address because they confused me with somebody that had the same name and a Best Buy account in Hartford Connecticut. The TV receipt and refund was not even on my Best Buy account, it was through a guest account that was set up by the Best Buy call center. That made it difficult to find the TV purchase receipt and the refund receipt. It was never under my account. Somehow my account Email address and phone number was all mixed up with someone else on the other side of the country. At least AAA has regions for their services. Best Buy can’t tell the difference between you and someone else with the same name in other states. I did end up buying a TV from the store the day of the failed delivery and took it home myself. Best Buy delivers everything from the East valley warehouse regardless of what store you buy the TV. I’ve never had a problem with literally anyone else delivering something to my condo, or any Uber drivers finding my place. Best Buy’s phone service and out of store purchase and delivery process is horrible. You’re helpless if they screw it up and the day of your delivery, after waiting a week won’t happen. You will be using texting services and chat, sitting on the phone with call centers when everything blows up. You’re better off buying an item in a store that has the item in stock and taking it with you. Getting involved with their online services and phone order service went so poorly for me, I don’t have any confidence in it at all. There are fundamental issues with how they’re running their out of store purchases and deliveries that make it extremely unpleasant when something goes wrong. The fact that they also confused me multiple times with another individual’s account in Hartford Connecticut is unbelievable. A few months ago I received a phone call from a TV installer who is on the way to that guys house to install a television on the wall. I said, I’m in Arizona dude. I think that may have been corrected now, but just know, when you’re having something delivered, you’re not dealing with the store where you got it. You’re going to be dealing with Best Buy call centers and employees who don’t speak or understand English well, looking at computer screens.
The physical Best Buy store deserves a 5 star rating, and the corporate, online store deserves a zero or 1 star rating, based on my experience. My experience with the Ahwatukee store and the one in Chandler has been excellent when purchasing something within the store. My experience with ordering online or ordering from central inventory within in both stores has led me to NEVER ORDER from BEST BUY again. Let me explain my rating. Staff of Best Buy are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It is my go-to store for electronic equipment, supplies and appliances - if they are in-stock. The selection of TVs and in-store appliances is excellent and a little less so for mobile phones. I like going to the physical store. Now let me explain my zero to 1 star rating for corporate inventory orders. During the pandemic we engaged in some remodeling like so many of you. While in store one day we ordered a stove top and hood from Best Buy. We were given delivery dates, which were then delayed and then delayed again until finally we were told that Best Buy could not give us a likely new date. I had presumed, despite the supply chain issues that were already evident, that a Best Buy MIS (Management Information System) was used that queried inventory and responded with whether the product was or could be made available within a reasonable time. Ultimately, I gave up on Best Buy for the kitchen items, and I went to a local store - Spencer’s - and to Home Deport. Both delivered products as promised. Still believing that the Best Buy MIS and delivery issues I had encountered were due to pandemic supply chain problems, I proceeded to order, while in the store, a refurbished iPhone for my grandson. The day before the promised delivery date, I received an email from Best Buy, stating that the iPhone may be delivered 2 days later or, perhaps it would arrive within 10 days but that my money would be refunded if it never arrived. Since this was a birthday gift, I went to Best Buy, cancelled the likely undeliverable order and ordered another. In speaking with a customer service representative, I asked about the MIS, having assumed that an electronics store would be using an integrated, sophisticated MIS like Target uses. I was told that the MIS system was not nearly what I had thought. Still I ordered again. The second refurbished iPhone arrived on-time. It’s case was scratched in multiple places and even its screen was scratched. Refurbished? Anyway, I returned it. The store representatives told me that they couldn’t control what central Best Buy sent.
Geek Squad crew always aims to please and I put them through there paces. Upgraded RAM on a new computer, had an iPad screen repaired (shipped out and back in a week, and put a new hard river in an older computer. Info backed up for the iPad to the new computer and info saved and transferred to the new drive fom the old computer. Now for the negative. Not anything with the team at the store. They earned their 5 stars. The phone number is useless, other than for hours of operation, which is already on Google and their website. Even with an extension to call the store you have to go through their foreign gate keepers and even after explaining I was returning a call and responding to a question on 3 seperate occasions, they couldn't or wouldn't transfer me to the store. Incredibly frustrating. I had to make extra trips to the store to communicate effectively.
Awesome. Thorough. Rosie was so helpful and for such a long activation process with a few complications along the way because of my last "dud" of a phone, she trudged through the process with me until we were sure everything was a go. She made an arduous process enjoyable and smooth. From purchasing the previous week to pickup and activation that day, everyone was really great. One of the best locations I have been to, in terms of staff friendliness/helpfulness without being pushy, and I didn't have to walk all over the store to find someone for help--which seems to be a common experience anymore. The day of purchase, they were all very good at helping me make sure it was actually my phone and not just an update fix, etc., that I needed before trying to sell me a new phone. All around, great experience. I highly recommend this store for your tech needs!!
Had what I needed, but was hard to find & nobody around really to ask. Checkout was a pain. Had to wait in line for I would guess maybe 5 or 6 minutes, since checkouts are now closed and all transactions are handled at customer service. Customer service issues can take a long time to resolve. There were two customer service issues being worked when I was there. Convenient to pick it up locally rather than wait for delivery. But the checkout experience was painful. They do apparently have an app you can download & do self-checkout, then show the "security" door checker on your way out. Prolly would've been faster/easier than waiting in the line!
I'm looking at new laptops right now, and came in with some questions. Pierce helped me look at quite a few options and was more than helpful. He knew what he was talking about and was one of the better customer service experiences I have had in a long time. I didn't feel like I was being upsold on anything, rather that I was getting honest opinions and a lot of valuable information about products I was interested in. For a college student, I'm not the most tech savvy and Pierce was able to help me out a lot. I would absolutely recommend asking for him if you have any questions about anything computer related in the store.
I bought a $1250 desktop computer, during shopping there was no one to assist me with questions about the products, I looked around many times but no one paid attention towards me, there was one associate who was busy in deep conversations with someone about a product which was not worth even $100. At the checkout counter, I was not greeted, forget about the friendly conversations!!! For a business a $1000 customer should be more important than under a $100 customer, right? The same theme continued when I went out, the guy who stands at the entry/exit door behaved the same way!!!!
Always like going to Best Buy, and love looking at all the new tech. Unfortunately, what I have found over the years, as more tech items are purchased online, stores like this lack the specific subject matter experts that they used to have. I stood by some high-end tablets for 10 minutes with an alarm going off for half of it (I pulled too hard on the cord I guess), and nobody came by to help. I had to go and find someone. I was looking at TVs a year back, and it was the same. I will certainly be back, but I do miss the Best Buy of yore.
I went to Best Buy today to look at printers and an associate by the name of Robell helped me. He he sold me an HP printer and gave me an instant Inc. enrollment card which I am very excited to have. I mentioned MacBook airs to him and he told me about an amazing deal going on. I left the store went home and ended up coming back and buying a MacBook. He was very pleasant and helpful and quite an impressive salesman. I will always look for him when I shop at Best Buy. Five star service.
Bought a TV here cause their monitors are too small, just like the carts. Had to carry it all the way to Cust. Sev. Cause No checkout open. Still not a problem. I don't know if them asking people if they have a number with them is for some rewards program, but way to sell it telling people/me it's "Good" that I don't. It was 30 mins after they opened and a 2 min. interaction with this "C.S." person and I'm sold on never shopping here again. Welcome to my rewards program.
Total tech is complete scam. Do not waste your money. Apple products must go through AppleCare. The way these people sell this plan is dishonest. Be up front with your customers, do not lie to them. If all my devices are covered 100% when they are not. I will be canceling total tech not because of the concept of covering my tech but the dishonesty that I found out when cashing it in. I have no faith and credibility in keeping this plan for the rest of my devices.
I visited this Best Buy to personally inspect an open box laptop before buying it. I live about 25 miles away. The staff I worked with was very helpful and friendly. The manager lowered the open box price because it was missing all of the included accessories. I then purchased the laptop online and did a customer pick up a few days later. I thought the whole experience was excellent. I got a fair deal and the laptop works like a new. It was a Win Win.
We haven't shopped in store for electronics in years but have been into this store several times over the last few weeks for various reasons. Each time the staff members have been knowledgeable and friendly. They've helped us locate items, learn about features and ultimately helped us make our final purchasing decisions even if they didn't carry the item or have it in stock at that store. Super helpful and we'll continue to go back here!
Calling the store to check product availability is useless as apparently no one at the store picks up the phone, instead I get transferred to online sales who will check the same website you do to see if there is something available. Itll say there's 3 things then you waste your time and gas money going there to be told there isn't any. This could all be easily avoided if the f__king store could take a freaking phone call.
The workers at the apple section weren’t the nicest. We had been standing around the area for about 20 minutes just waiting to ask a question. They had attitude when I asked about the refurbished stock (only online apparently). The workers near the TVs were nice though. They helped my boyfriend and I scan a couple tvs for prices! We ended up leaving with a bunch of gift cards for my little brothers birthday.
Very bad cable management and customer service. Spent 17K to setup 4 new TVs, sound bars, etc.., @ my new house and this is what you get. I paid top dollar so I don't need to do it myself. 83" LG OLED that was delivered had a crack and won't get installed until the 29th.Callled Customer service and they said they can't help me. Hopefully CEO Corie Barry of Best Buy gets this review and act on it.
I have been at this location plenty of times before. Actually since my Note 7 replacement program and even when the system was down, they handled everything very professionally. This location is filled with options to select from. Everything from appliances to laptops to electric bikes. A ton of parking. Staff in the cpu section are very polite, professional, and willing to help.
Regular checkout lines were closed (temporarily?) so checkout was weird. But AMAZING and EXCELLENT customer service by young people. One helped me find the keyboard I was looking for, educating me about the smooth scrolling mice options. Then checkout person was upbeat and friendly, making for a great buying experience! Selection and in stock items we great, too.
Late hours. Good location. need to do a better job to insure any Parkside return to shells actually work. Twice open boxes that I’ve been returned. We’re not inspected put back on the floor and we sold. This creates an inconvenience cause you have to return it back to the same without being compensated. It feels as if geek squad is taking a 50-50 .on the work
I bought a new phone online and went to pick it up in store at the designated area, there were about 3 employees, 2 of them were busy, the other one had no idea what he was doing, and they kept me waiting in the line for more than 30 minutes, when It was just to show my ID and get my phone that took less than 5 minutes. Please best buy fix that.
Inventory is low on most tech game items unless you want a TV because they've literally hundreds, but the store was mostly clean and the staff was friendly and not too intrusive, letting me shop in peace. Adding that I received some great customer service in their Magnolia room to talk about sound and signals etc.
I want to give a huge shout-out to Ammon, the manager at the customer service desk! He was so efficient, kind and helpful. I had a issue returning an iPad and he was able to walk me thru the return. He made my day helping me with this ipad return! Thank you for being so friendly and making my experience memorable.
Brandon was the best Representative for Best Buy I have ever experienced His professionalism and knowledge and friendliness went above and beyond. He is a very valuable commodity to the Best Buy team and company. Thank you again Brandon. You are the reason we will always do with Best Buy first.
Folks are helpful here. The store is clean and fully stocked. Online pick up orders seem to suffer though. Walk in is fine, but curb side you'll be waiting for a while and eventually will have to go inside. They often forget to check their monitor that someone is waiting.
Like this Best Buy. Helpful staff. Items that I need were always available. Clean and organized. Got good bargains on laptops, airpods, pressure cookers, TVs to name a few. Drives 10 miles to this location. Ample parking in a nice location. A lot of other shops around.
I went in to get a Microsoft Surface because their system would not allow me to purchase it online. this would have been a 1 star review because they have no one to answer the phone. but the gentleman helping me was so fantastic i have to give them 4 stars.
Mid day and the middle of the week. The store was a ghost town. Seems like the few employees working their are fairly new. I had to track someone down and ended up making decisions and purchases on my own without a great customer service experience.
We bought the new Samsung S23 Ultra phones (pre-ordered), and Rosie B and Ammon were so helpful with the entire process. Any time we had problems, needed help finding or fixing anything, they were there to help. We feel like we have new friends!!
On-line orders are quick and easy at this location. They also tend to have a good selection in stock, and available for same day pick up. In my experience the online pick up line has been great. It's always been fast with little to no wait.
Eh it's best buy. Store is clean, people are friendly. Had to bring in something I bought the day before but instead of offering exchange, he refunded and then I had to go get the item and hop back in line. He was nice though. 4/5 stars.
Ryan and Alex went above and beyond customer service expectations. They were friendly, kind, and patient with me, explaining what I needed to know about my device. Ryan put forth extra effort to fix the problem. I'm very appreciative.
Good sales and decent prices. The employees here are so knowledgeable about everything from phones to appliances. My only complaint is they have no one who can help me repair my Samsung phone because no one is Samsung certified.
I was helped as soon as I walked in. The technician made sure I didn't leave until I had everything I needed to make my purchases complete. I didn't have to go back to the store for anything. It was a great shopping experience.
It's a typical "big box store", but for certain things, this place is pretty good. We always get in and out quickly (even on Black Friday!), they have good deals on stuff sometimes and not having to wait for shipping is nice.
Massively useless. The staff to customer ratio is ridiculous. Like 3 staff for every one person constantly checking in on you when you don't need anything then when you do need someone no one's around. Inventory is lacking
It's scary to see a brand like Best Buy almost fading away. The lack of options of available is insane but I understand why. Most people are ordering online but walking into a best Buy is like walking in a ghost town
Purchased last minute Christmas gifts. Even with being last minute and very busy they were able to have my purchase for pick up ready within the hour. Customer service was great and the app was easy to navigate.
Horrible customer service experience. The employees are just standing around talking and not offering help. They stare like you're stealing, and the card reader was down so you can't even buy anything.
Had to hunt down someone to help us. One person we asked for help just started helping someone else. And the sound system we went there for wasn't even in stock. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
Has may popular brands and products. I find interconnect parts are incomplete and we needed to order cables and converters online before being able to use our BestBuy purchases. :(
The store is well laid-out. There are lots of options for all types of electronics and adjacent items. Prices are fine. We got a nice deal on an entertainment center (furniture).
Fast and easy, went for an apple watch and I was there for top 5 minutes. They didn't try to overwhelm me with another stuff. The seller understood that I was in a hurry.
Very helpful staff. Went in to get an Apple MacBook Pro and John helped us work through several options and got us taken care of right away. 10/10 would recommend!
Went to exchange a TV the other day and was helped by Gustavo. He was very patient with my mother & I and he was very sweet. Someone give him a raise haha.
The staff was very helpful. We were looking for a smart watch. Everyone was so helpful answered all our questions. We bought a Samsung 3. Very happy.
The employees at the customer service counter were extremely kind and helpful. I have no question that I received the best solution and care.
Terrible staff...can't answer questions. Instead of clarifying, we were even more confused about the different TVs we were trying to buy.
Best Buy cleaned virus from my laptop quickly and courteously. Didn't push me to buy anything thing and answered all my questions.
Best customer service of all Best Buys I've been to. From San Diego CA but my dad lives in AZ. I visit at least 6 times per year.
Great customer experience! I was able to return a defective Fitbit although I already had it for 2 months. Thank You very much!
Yet another bad Best Buy location. Took more than 10 minutes for Curbside pickup, I was the only one waiting for it.
I received help from three different associates, got in and out and 15 minutes; which is exactly what I wanted.
Walked around for the better part of an hour trying to buy a new TV. Went somewhere else and was out in 10 min
Customer service was great, but they didn’t have much in stock. Including the one thing I came in for.
Got a tv antenna for $35 for basic tv. Range was 60 miles for antenna. Works great. Easy to assemble.
A okay Best Buy store. They had a lot of empty spots on the shelves though. friendly service …
Very helpful staff when shopping for new cell phone; we found better price at other store though.
I did not have one employee offer assistance while I was in the store browsing.
Terrible, store is basically dead and we’re left waiting 25 minutes in line
When I went there was no one there. Lots of space to shop.
