It’s a beautiful building. But public entrance time changes all time . Get a permission before enter. Detail : Bexar County was created on December 20, 1836, and encompassed almost the entire western portion of the Republic of Texas. This included the disputed areas of eastern New Mexico northward to Wyoming. After statehood, 128 counties were carved out of its area. The county was named for San Antonio de Béxar, one of the 23 Mexican municipalities (administrative divisions) of Texas at the time of its independence. San Antonio de Béxar—originally Villa de San Fernando de Béxar—was the first civil government established by the Spanish in the province of Texas. Specifically, the municipality was created in 1731 when 55 Canary Islanders settled near the system of missions that had been established around the source of the San Antonio River. The new settlement was named after the Presidio San Antonio de Béjar, the Spanish military outpost that protected the missions. The presidio, located at the San Pedro Springs, was founded in 1718 and named for Viceroy Balthasar Manuel de Zúñiga y Guzmán Sotomayor y Sarmiento, second son of the Duke of Béjar (a town in Spain). The modern city of San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas also derived its name from San Antonio de Béjar.

Jury Duty. If you don’t get to the parking lot by 8am, you won’t have a spot. You’ll have to pay $10-$20 dollars to park somewhere else. Rude staff and officers that do not have the patience to work there. You will feel like a cow in a cow farm; calling your name/number, getting in line, waiting, getting in another line and waiting...waiting...waiting. Very disorganized. You’re suppose to feel like a proud citizen doing your civic duty. I felt like a disrespected cow in a farm.

Went here for jury duty the other day and it wasn't an unpleasant experience even though I was there from 9am-3pm it didn't feel that long. I only have two complaints while going through the jury selection process. 1. Please get more comfortable seating, at least in the waiting area. My back started hurting shortly after sitting down. 2. Start carrying USBC chargers in the cafeteria, my phone almost died because I forgot to bring my charger.

This is strictly a review of the building! The architecture is unique and I think it's a beautiful building. The city should be proud to have such a gorgeous building for court business. It makes sense the reviews are all over the place for the actual functions and services provided. As a visitor or tourist, I recommend getting a close up look of the building, the fountain, and the sculptures.

The Bexar County Courthouse was built in 1897. The historic courthouse is built out of red sand stone and granite, from Texas. There is also the renovated Double Hyatt Courtroom. There is also a WWII exhibit on display. It's free and open to public, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm. The exhibit will leave November 11, and head towards Brady Green Hosiptal, then onto Europe in 2017.

Security officer is holding items with the promise of you getting it back and then not returning your item. Why is he promising you to hold your item if he is not going to return it? That is just being cruel to people. He needs to stop doing that and start telling everyone that they don't hold anything and let you take it back to your car or throw it away yourself.

Nothing special about this place except for it's history and neat architecture. However, there is no access to a ramp at the entrance you have to go quite a few steep stairs so I had to carry my son in his stroller up to get in. Terrible wifi connection. There is access to a neat museum inside that teaches all about the history of the courthouse and San Antonio.

If you have children this is a MUST! It was a great way to learn about the history of San Antonio and Bexar County. This exhibit has interactive video to tell about the different important people and what they did here in Bexar County. Juliette Moke is the best museum tour guide ever! She's very sweet, kind, and extremely knowledgeable!!

Judge Norma Gonzales needs to attend a communication workshop, so she can improve her listening skills instead of automatically giving judgement without knowing all the facts. You can feel her harsh cold attitude in her court. Say a prayer or two, better yet 3, upon entering because it’s about what she thinks and not the evidence.

I'm not sure who they're hiring but these days, but majority of the court coordinators and court clerk are very useless. They're extremely unprofessional, lazy, and make numerous clerical errors that cause unnecessary issues for not only defendants out of these courts but also the law firms that represent them.

It was a fun time. We all sat and had a good laugh. Everyone was really feeling really at ease. This is a really good travel agency for vacations. They are efficient. And they only need like one charge and you are good to go on your vacation. I wasn't too bad. Would suggest. Will be back.

The passport processing office is super unprofessional. I don't know what kind of training they had but these girls are rude as hell. You're honestly better just going online and calling the office in Houston for questions because these people have zero interest in helping you.

Terrible leadership. You cannot even reach the offices to complain about their garbage policies. Voice-mail boxes are full because so many people are calling to complain. Without any data they force small children to wear masks in school. This borders on child abuse.

I had no business at this place. But I was in downtown San Antonio for the first time in my life and seen the beautiful architecture of the building and the beautiful water features and statues outside of it. It was very nice and I enjoyed myself a lot.

Dismissive and judgemental. Mishandled our case and tried for years to excuse and bury their mistakes. Thousands of dollars wasted and nothing to show for it. Guess they're too busy spending it all on lavish luxuries to care about doing their job.

Walked pass by this place to the church. Nice building looking from the outside. Have some bench and water fountain in the front - good place to sit down and chill a bit after walking around the town.

The most disrespectful people work in this building. They make you feel stupid for not knowing exactly where you are supposed to go or do. It’s like they feed off watching people get in more trouble.

I hate this place only bad memories someone always getting taken away from each other staff is soo rude and it feels like your getting judged from the moment we walk in thru the metal detector

Quite a beautiful courthouse all made out of red sandstone and built in 1891. It is one of the fairy tale buildings of Texas which came out of the imagination of architect J Riely Gordon.

Very well educated attorneys, Judges voted upon by our community having been appointed with the duty, and honoring the commitment they chose to serve our community.

I've been practicing criminal defense for 30+ years and this is my 2nd home! Great courthouse filled with extraordinary people doing the best they can.

Take your parking ticket with you for jury duty. The clerks can validate your jury service for a reduced parking rate.

Well planned out Floorplan, I've been coming to this court building for 20yrs and each time Jury Duty is the same.

5 stars for the historical attributes... Other than that, it's a maze and built so your late for jury duty.
