People who rate this plaxe 5 stars haven't been to a proper dental practice. This place is run by basic, uneducated, rude people who couldn't stock shelves. You'll get more out of reading teletext than speaking to the rude receptionists. They act like you're a burden and they've got something better to do. The actual dentist are so unprofessional, they seem like they got their experience from youtube. My mouth was always ripped because how rough they are. They keep cancelling appointments. When you do turn up for the appointment you're made to wait a further hour to be seen while they stand there speak about nonsense. The dentist makes inappropriate comments about your looks and teeth. They place is dingy, smelly and very unclean. They make you sanitise your hands then wash it in a dirty sink with dirty taps, all whilst they have their masks on their chins. So whatever you washed off your hands goes straight back on when you touch the taps. They will take your money and say anything to you to scare you into coming back and pay more. To people who use this practice I urge you to try elsewhere to see how a real practice operates. This place is a joke. I'm surprised it's still open. The majority of their customers have no experience of other dental practices and don't realise they are being ripped off. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I was not happy with the way my orthodontist was. She was very rude and not polite at all. My procedure was extended due to Covid but even then my teeth had remained the same after lockdown restrictions lifted. My teeth had stayed the same for at least a year and I saw no progress. After this time, I was unhappy with my treatment so refused to proceed any longer, resulting in the removal of my braces, as my decision. I felt my orthodontist was experimenting and unaware of what to do as a patient of hers. She was very indecisive and inconsiderate. When handling tweezers, she would constantly catch my lip or gum caught in between. When fitting my wire, she would constantly poke my gum causing pain. She was not polite, nor thoughtful or considerate and was constantly being rude. I was not happy with my orthodontic experience here and do not recommend!

Reading all these comments, I had to post a review. I could not agree more with the comments about Erma, absolutely no manners. Simply does not know how to talk to people. Horrible experience. However, my daughter has had the hugely unfortunate experience of first going to Mr.Bhandal at the other branch. He has been described as Erma's mentor!!! Honestly, having met the vile man, Erma almost came across as saint like! That man simply bullies poor children and teenagers and should not be allowed to practice!! Sends shivers down my spine just thinking of him and how he treated my quiet, shy daughter. She was left in tears. I am normally a mild tempered person but that experience left me wanting to get my boxing gloves out!! Having read the reviews, that man has done this damage to so many other patients!

The dentist at Bhandal dental surgery wasn't interested in giving me any advice on good oral hygiene, giving my mouth a cursory glance and then proceeded to clean. I asked questions then the dentist gave advice in the way of answers. While waiting to be seen, I saw youngsters being called up to the dentist room and come back down again and leave within five minutes - how can a dentist give advice and do a check up within five minutes. There is clearly no adherence to the principles of good dental practice as set out by the BDA. finding a good dentist has become like finding a good builder - very difficult indeed. I have yet to complain to the practice , though I am dubious as to what good it will do. They just want to make as much money as possible. profits over people.

I was booked in for a check up as my gums were bleeding severely and i needed a scale and polish. During the appointment, i was quite shocked at how unprofessionally it was performed, not only was it excruciatingly painful and harsh to my gums to the point they had to inject anesthetic which made it even more painful, but they did not even use a suction device for all the water and salive in my mouth that usually rapidly builds when spraying the water un my mouth and im not sure they even had one so this resulted in all the water and saliva spilling onto my top even though i was given just a tissue to soak it up, it was so terrible and disgusting having my whole top and neck literally soaked in water because they could not use the right equipment.

I’m absolutely disgusted with this practice because of how they treat young adults. The rude attitude from reception staff and dental professional staff too. They make you feel depressed and make nasty comments to your face about your teeth. They are absolutely heartless and selfish. It feels as they are not qualified to do their job with dignity. They book an appointment for you and then when you attend at 9am they turn you away because they dont have the correct PPE. No decency to call you before hand to let you know!! Nor will they rearrange the appointment!!! I’m so furious with how the government is allowing this terrible dental practice to operate. Get your act together and do your job with dignity and not for full pockets..

The worst Dentist in the whole world!! Reception staff good service The management is never available,always too busy to talk to poorly run. They call themselves a Dentist Yet everytime you phone Dentist is NOT in or not available I last called first week of January and yet 7 months down the line same issues. Either they don’t want a dentist or can’t pay a professional or maybe want a student visa dentist. It’s better if it was shut then open totally unreliable no organisation nor structure. I can’t see it getting better always hear the same line “try in a few months we should have a dentist” I said you stated that 7 months ago… If you want your teeth messed up this is the place to go!

I came to Bhandal Dental Practice after many problems with my previous practice. I was able to get appointments really quickly, thus the problem was solved as soon as possible. My experience with the dentist I had seen, Mr Ali Baghdadi was fantastic. I found him to have really good manners and was very polite. His service was of high standards throughout the whole process and he went above and beyond to find the best solution. My experience with him was far the best I have received through NHS dental care and I cannot be happier with the service. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves, as he represents the best of the company.

Have been receiving orthodontic treatment here for a few years now. There is typically a long wait when you arrive, even when you come on time as well. The ortho that I'm seeing, Dr Q, is unfriendly and has never been in a visibly good mood every time I see her. As soon as I enter the room I am flooded with questions about allergies and medication, no hello or hi or how are you. She is critical and rude about how your teeth are kept, and makes you feel unwelcome. In the beginning I would be afraid and very anxious of going to see her, however now I've gotten used to it and am just waiting for these to come off asap.

Quite possibly the worst dental practice there is. They are extreamly understaffed and will just pass you pillar to post. I tried booking an appointment but they refused it as i have an outstanding complaint against them and i was told that they couldnt book me in until the complaint has been resolved. The complaint was raised in November 2021 and ive had no response from management till this date and is currently with the ombudsman to chase. Yet when i call in im told they cant give me an appointment until the complaints resolver. Really shady whats going on there. AVOID AT ALL COST.

orthodontists here have a disgusting attitude. no wonder they are so lowly rated. pathetic. I would seriously suggest that everyone that sees this post report them to the General Dental Council and other regulatory bodies for misconduct, negligence and a very poor attitude to patient care. I had to see the dentist as I had a gum infection I phoned on Monday and got an appointment next day. I got in and it didn’t take long to see my dentist. Dr Ali is very professional as always, he went through the procedures that I needed very clearly and dealt with my problem.also a big thanks to camilla as she was very helpful. In my opinion one of the best dentist practice around. Very clean a good atmosphere. Very rude orthodontist Eram qureshi would always make rude inappropriate comments about my teeth and always had bad attitude towards me she would end up hurting me when adjusting my braces and move my head and jaw forcefully and was disrespectful towards me many times instead of helping me and advising me she would just make rude comments and threaten to have my braces taken off for no apparent reason. would not advise to go to this place if you want good service from any staff especially qureshi.

Receptionist rang my phone and was so unprofessional. Her exact words were : I’m calling from the practice in regards to your daughter, we are ready for her! She gave me less than one week notice. I told her I couldn’t make that appointment due to work. She then replied you know she will be put back on the waiting list for 3 yrs. no other appointment was offered . She just said sorry and hung up . I reckoned they dragged her of the streets to work in the practice. No way this woman went to school

Hi just had my braces off today and hounesly my opinion is that Quraishi did an amazing job . Throughout the journey she made sure to handle treating my teeth gently and asking if it hurts caring along the way . As well as that she just does what's best for your smile and I couldn't be more happier with the result . So for everyone who has their own opinion it's fine just really understand why they are saying what they are saying as they want what's best for you in my belief . Thanks and bye

I would highly recommend the orthodontist services at this practice. I am very happy with the results of my treatment. My orthodontist Rachel was nothing but helpful, reassuring and exceptional kind throughout my treatment. She would always go the extra mile to fit me in for appointments. I really appreciated it when she would advise/re-educate me on the importance of complying with treatment instruction rather than taking the tough love approach.

I have been with this surgery for 10 years having my braces, this practice is an utter disaster as DR Bhandal comes in once a month, I was being seen by one of his assistant dentist I waited 7 month for a piece to come through which never arrived, appointments are after 8 weeks anyway, I am now having my braces removed, with gaps in my teeth, Dr bhandal does not liked being asked any questions as he is really short tempered. Stay away from them

Dr Bhandal was extremely disrespectful and condescending towards us. At the time I was only 16 and he was condescending towards my mum for asking basic questions about a procedure. 0/10 quality of care. The care was so terrible, I never ended up getting braces there. I could give it no stars if I could. They delayed my treatment for another two years, as I couldn’t switch to a different practice due to long waiting list. Do not recommend!!!

I've visited Dr Ali. He is clean, smart and professional. Very happy to have found a dentist which was easy to register with. I had a check up appointment made within two days of my registration, and at that check up I made cleaning up. Some different issues were diagnosed and within two weeks splendid jobs were done; I have had a bleeding gum for years which just got cured. Fantastic and my teeth look great now.

I have been coming to this practice for almost four years for my braces and they were just recently removed. I love the results - thank you. Everyone is so lovely and professional. Especially Dr Rachael Gibson who has been more than amazing, any issues or problems were always fixed, everything was always explained thoroughly and I was always taken care of throughout my time their. Brilliant orthodontist.

This was at one time one of the best practices in smallheath, the service has now deteriorated.....no long term dentist, my daughter's "braces" experience was very bad, it took her ages to be seen by a dentist, aftercare was bad as she has not been able to be seen by a dentist as there is none available..... shambles, I live 5 min from the practice, now I have to look for another decent practice.....

Was previously registered at the small heath medical practice, but this practice is amazing. i managed to get an appointment straight away, really friendly staff especially Ash the dentist, i was given an emergency appointment despite not being registered there and i was given an emergency appointment to have a root canal procedure done asap. quick, friendly everything under one roof, amazing place

Awful treatment!! I have small gaps in my teeth as i had my braces on for so long which made them harder to clean. RUINED MY TEETH. Do not waste your time or ruin your smile. They did not know what they were doing. It was like trial and error making it up as they went along. My teeth are in worse condition and look awful after braces. Will now be paying to get them sorted privately.

Came in for retainer replacements, and to explore other possible options for maintaining straight teeth. Dr Gibson explained everything clearly and laid out my options very concisely. Overall a very welcoming and professional approach and I feel well looked after, throughout the treatment process. The orthodontic side of things is exceptional. Keep up the outstanding work guys!

this 4 star reviews are certainly fake, avoid this place, people are rude, they rarely answer the phone, service is awful, my son is wearing braces for the last 4 years, appointments cancelled many times even before the Covid 19, we moved to another city and they refused to make transfer for another branch , so he has to travel every appointment, we are so frustrated.

The orthodontist is extremely rude and intimidating to the point that you cannot tell her your problems. She will not change braces when they break and threatens to take braces off if they break. Very unprofessional attitude and rude to paying patients and colleagues. Feel very sorry for anyone working with her or undergoing treatment with her.

Amazing I’m now in love with my teeth I’m so glad I went for Invisalign would highly recommend it completely pain free and excellent results without restrictions of what you can and can’t eat or drink love them thank you so much Mr Ratakonda and all the girls for looking after me and making me feel so comfortable.

This dentist charges over £3000 for fixed metal braces with additional costs if the elastics break. Extra costs as in charging hundreds more! No indication was given on whether my teeth was clean enough to go through with this procedure. They just wanted the money. Its risky coming to this practice!

Guys go private, i really think the nhs as a whole is non- existence. You phone for a apointment after a long wait you Can’t get one always excuse after excuse from the staff. I really think we are done now specially after covid. If we are lucky get one the surgeries are always empty of patients.

Literally just called up to book an appointment and told that they have no dentists and I should call back in 3 months and even then they can't guarantee they will have someone. Seriously how is it possible for a dental practice to have no dentists?! Just appalled.

Visited orthodontist Eram Qureshi, she was abrupt and rude, no people skills, my daughter was not comfortable with seeing her again. Complaint made to the nurse in charge and have not had any correspondence from her, I have now taken the matter further.

Big Con dont go there they dont have knowledge and no equipment to treat patients only they can do is plug your tooth out no matter what problem you have i wasted my money and realized they just looted me with no treatment i lost my two tooth in process

Dentist Ashraf is a really nice and caring person. He comforted me through out the procedure. I was extremely stressed in the beginning but soon relaxed after I felt the Dentist was very considerate and Caring. Would recommend to persons with Family.

The new receptionist is really rude.. no eye contact while talking what so ever and chewing gum while talking! However on the positive side I really like dental practice. Just wish they have better receptionist to make you feel welcomed .

Dr Ashraf gave exceptional service to my mum who needed a tooth fixing. He did a brilliant job no if no buts about it. Also told her, her future treatment plan in detail she was so happy.

Awful. My daughter goes here and the staff are so rude and belligerent. They are even rude to my daughter who is just a child. Wouldn't recommend if we were paying for her braces.

How can we contact them for an appointment after a letter when they never answer the phone ? Some of us work 6 days cant just come into the clinic and book an appointment.

The service the dentist provided was first class I was seen promptly and even though I'm scared of the dentist the staff were so reassuring about my treatment.
