I was verbally attacked by a French Canadian racist man at the Kirkland library. I complained about the hate crime to the staff and they did not assist me in identifying him so I can complain to the police. Instead one of the two librarians (of French Canadian origin) rolled her eyes at me. The event left a bitter taste in my mouth and as a result I avoid going to this library. This is a public space paid for by ALL the municipality's residents tax dollars but the reaction of the staff tells me that it prioritizes people based on their origin.

1. It lacks a decent amount of books that I would like to read. 2. It isn't connected to the big Berri Uqam library which would be nice due to the absence of the books I want to read. 3. It is mainly more of a children's library rather than a library for people expecting it to be more of an academic/scientific one. (which isn't a problem in of itself but definitely something I dislike) The people working there are generally pretty nice and it has a calm environment for reading/studying so that's a plus.

Very disappointed to have my library card expired after two years, there is no such notice on the card and I was not informed of this when we applied for it. We pay our taxes in Kirkland and we own a house here I find this very inconvenient. Never had to renew my library card other towns we lived in. So why here?

Very nice library with a decent amount of seats for people looking to study. The interior decor is peaceful and great wifi signal throughout the main floor. In terms of the collection of books, there is an average variety.

Huge space. Was kinda hard to get in there during the 2017 flood, but that passed. Lots of space for the kids, and adults. Dont really remember much for computers, because i never used them. Still, its amazing.

A very nice library, with a modern touch. The staff is so friendly, especially in the kids section. Have so many activities organised along summer.

Aggressive internet restrictions, you need a VPN. Turn on the VPN in stealth mode and it will work. Also some of the plugs don't work.

Some times it’s a little noisy, however, sometimes it’s really quiet and perfect. Overall it’s a good library to study and focus.

I joined this library after learning they had book to continue a series I was reading. It's free for Beaconsfield residents too.
