"This is a great store for good deals on sporting goods and I have always received great service here as well"
"It's a nice store"
"Just bought some roller skates from here and the service was very friendly and accommodating for what I was looking for! Ronan helped me find the perfect size skates and helped me check out 2 other pairs"
"The guy in charge was training two employees in the men's section and telling them about taxes and when you make big money(Big5$) they takes more taxes"
"I couldn’t thank Antonio enough for helping me out on picking gears for my son’s baseball practice"
This is a great store for good deals on sporting goods and I have always received great service here as well. It should be noted, however, that currently ( March 2022 ) the store closes at 7 pm M-Thr, and Google maps has it listed as closing at 8:30 pm. Wouldn’t want you to waste a trip over there late at night!
It's a nice store. Very full. Sadly, they only had 1 pair of Spenco flip flops (not my size), so they lost a sale. I'm guessing that they aren't selling them anymore as I went to a different store and same thing, only 1 pair. The rest were Nike (mostly) and Under Armor. Guess I'll have to buy them online …
Just bought some roller skates from here and the service was very friendly and accommodating for what I was looking for! Ronan helped me find the perfect size skates and helped me check out 2 other pairs. I was greeted as I came inside the store and was politely greeted after making my purchase.
The guy in charge was training two employees in the men's section and telling them about taxes and when you make big money(Big5$) they takes more taxes. While I was looking for shorts in the men section and didn't ask to help me find anything or even move. Good training dude... …
I couldn’t thank Antonio enough for helping me out on picking gears for my son’s baseball practice. Antonio is a professional and caring person. I had no background knowledge on baseball sport and Antonio is the right person I turned to. He
Customer service is great!!! Every question is answered with respect and w/ insight on the sport in which the gear pertains too. Only bad thing is there's minimal employees after 4pm to check you out at the register. Either way, they do not
First person I asked a question ignored me. When I repeated he said I just clocked out ask someone else. Needed some advice on a sap water rig and a sales clerk confessed she had zero knowledge however the manager was a fisherman and he was
not exactly bad for anything. but i was looking forward to try out some exercise gear before i buy. instead, i only found shoes and clothes. the only elipsical bike is on top of the shelf where no one can reach, not to mention touching it.
Over priced badly, slightly rude employee blocking door from us as we shopped like we're going to run out.... We weren't even.... Lol but that wasn't smart, if my man were to run out, I pity anyone trying to block him. He's got that ex con
Good store. Pretty good selection of you are just looking for general items, like a tennis racquet or basketball. It's not as good if you are looking for a specific brand or top of the line something or other. (But if you're in the market
So-so inventory (smaller space)... my biggest complaint is that it was hard to determine the prices of things I was interested--many items lacked price tags &/or the location/shelf labels identifying items had only the names of the items
I bought a couple pair of New Balance shoes and like them. I've had good luck with New Balance. But as importantly, the courtesy extended from Luis was much appreciated. Thanks to Luis and management in the Big 5 store in Lakshore Plaza.
Its an ok store. The staff are nice and helpful. Lot more stuff in this store then you might think at first glance. Is located in a small shopping center off of Sloat blvd so parking is not usually a problem. Be sure to sign up for
I usually got my shoes there because of the low price and good enough selection (good brands). I took out one star because the staff is mostly not there to help, I have to go to the check out counter calling for service.
They are visibly struggling to hold it together at this location. I showed up during business hours and found the door locked. I called and a sales associate explained that they closed early because the manager left.
This store has extremely friendly customer service and regularly offers coupons for discounts. It can be just very hit or miss if they have what they’re looking for, but I go here regularly and I think it’s worth it.
The service at this Big Five is really friendly, helpful and patient. My friends and I geared up for a day at the river. We found everything we needed at a great price and thanks to the lovely clerks there.
This store works for me. Although somewhat remote, II swing by on my way to the Zoo or Fort Funston for sale price bike shoes or river sandals: Tip: try the web site for online coupons before you go.
Only needed to buy hiking boots here, but sure looks like the place is packed with lots of products. I was taken care of very quickly. Happy not having to go to REI and spend a ton of money.
I'm being generous with my stars. Big 5 has everything you need, even a memory foam pillow. If you get on their email list, they email you sales everyday. Some sales are incredible savings.
The young staff there was absolutely amazing in helping me find exactly what I was needing to prevent the next mugging or worse. They may have saved my life. ❤️ to both of you! …
Picked up some running shoes by Saucony. They're great! Comfortable and sturdy when i run. I like big 5 prices. The hurricane ISO normally would cost over 100$ and i paid 59$
Their inventory is ruled by the seasonal sales of trending fashions. So if you desire anything that is not "in season" you have to order it online at their website.
This place alway seems a bit cluttered., but I always seem to go to browse around. The only thing I ever bought from here was a pocket knife that was on sale.
Good for deals, but not a great selection of products. We found some possible items but the variety was limited.
Great prices and friendly staff. I found what I needed quickly and spent less than I expected!
Employees and managers run a tight ship. The customer service is on point!
It's cramped and layout needs updating.. it was empty ish when we went...
Have always found what I went in for and at good prices.
Its a good store just doesnt have as many things.
