UPDATE!---Long time customer here. Me and my brother strolled in for some lunch time beef dips. It used be an actual Big daddy sandwich. Yet this time it came with only 3 sliced of beef on it for 15 dollars!! Not sure what's changed maybe new management but it will be mine and my brothers last time at big daddies. I've never even been able to finish the beef dip and now I ate the whole thing and I'm still hungry. Such a shame that what made big daddy's truly unique and great has apparently been disregarded in the name of saving a dollar. More upset that my favorite sandwich place is no longer what it used to be. Just disappointed Update: I came back to buy the beef dip sandwich again to see if you guys were telling the truth about having a portion issue that one day. Turns out you're liars and you served me even less the second time!!! Solidified I will never eat here again. Good luck saving a dollar when you lose a long time customer I don't think you're achieving what you want. So disgusted and frankly upset that this great place is now a dishonest establishment cheating customers like we won't notice.

I haven’t been here in a couple years and happened to Be in the neighbourhood, last I remembered was getting an absurdly large sandwich/calzone and I would always end up saving half of…. Well today that was not the case, I went in and paid 17.50$ with a 10% tip on a Togo order… I got a pizza sub and when I was handed the box I knew right away something was different. It felt very light weight for the 17$ I spent for a sandwich. I opened the box only to see a very skimpy subway styled sub, very little cheese one thin layer of ham and 2 thin layers of pepperoni with barely any sauce on either side. I went here today with a fairly large appetite only to be disappointed. I spoke with the manager who did not offer any discount or any compensation for the very poor lunch. I will not be back and I strongly advise anyone els to not waste their time or money. Big Daddy’s should change their name because they do not fulfill or live up to the name any more. I will not be back.

This used to be an establishment of excellent sandwiches, however this visit proved to be anything but. While the sandwich was well built, it lacked anything that I would consider worthy of a $15 price point. Perhaps it's the inflation that's decreased the overall quality, but I would much rather visit Farrow next time I find myself craving sandwiches. Now, for the reason I decided to review this place instead of leaving it alone: When asked how our food was, we responded with a regular "it was okay" (rather than it was mediocre, which was more on the forefront of my mind) and they preceeded to be perturbed and quite openly mocked us in front of patrons (classy). I would suggest next time, maybe not asking if, you're not prepared for anything but a "it was excellent, i want to marry it" I think 2 stars (and the other breakdowns) is more than fair here for at least our experience.

I read everyone’s reviews before ordering and everyone is spot on when they say these portions are huge. I expected a poutine in the same size container my sandwich came in, but it was even bigger. Speaking of poutines, everyone has their favourite place to get one, but between the crispy fries, cheese and the taste of the gravy, Big Daddy’s just beat out my (now) old favourite. As for the sandwich… apparently I need a bigger mouth because I can’t even take a bite out of this thing! Definitely not a complaint in my opinion. It has tons of flavour, the perfect amount of mustard and mayo, and let’s not forget about the sprouts. I wish more places offered sprouts for their sandwich’s. all in all, I give both items I ordered a 10/10 and I will definitely be back!

This was my first visit. I ordered the clubhouse. I was asked if I wanted "everything" on it, and of course I said yes!!! The size was impressive. Actually sooooo big that I physically could not fit it in my mouth. It was not squishable! I will leave it to you to decide if this is a positive, or negative. I feel it made eating a sandwich a struggle. I actually had to ask for a fork and knife and it ended up being quite messy. I didn't expect having to disassemble my sandwich to eat it lesson learned. Bring extra bread and you could feed a few people! Great value for the money. Would go back again, and order mindfully next time.

Brutal Beef Dip. Literally just ordered this to go and open it up only to be terribly disappointed. Two pieces of thinly sliced beef on a bun that was supposed to be toasted (and wasn't), and that's what they charge $15 for. Not worth the drive back to complain. This place used to be awesome but has slid. In checking their reviews, it appears the beef dip is a common complaint, yet is never rectified apparently. 'Big Daddy's' doesn't make big sandwiches anymore apparently. Will not return.

In Edmonton for work for the week, so I looked for good local lunch spots. With some great reviews and a love for sandwiches, I wanted to check this spot out. Let's just say I was blown away by the size and the quality of what I received! I ordered the Clubhouse for $11.95 - very reasonable price. Assuming it would be normal sized, I got a combo with a caeser salad and a drink. Well, I never touched that salad because the sandwich I received was the biggest traditional sandwich I've ever seen - the pictures speak for themselves. On top of it's size, it was so tasty and fresh. Definitely more than happy with my visit!

I've been here a few times and love it and the other day I was craving their Donair Poutine so for the first time I ordered it from skip the dishes. I was a little worried because companies tend to give smaller portions through companies like skip simply due to packing but not these guys. The portion was still huge, infact after skips fees the total was about $25 and even that cost is worth the portion they give you. These guys do not cheap out!

Was recommended to me by a friend. WS in area so stopped to pickup a sandwich for lunch. Service not only to myself but a couple of patrons ahead of me was top shelf. Great value for money. Best fresh sandwich I have had anywhere. And the teammate who called my name to pick up at counter smiled and wished me a good day. Awesome place

Tuna Sandwich on White Toast

I drive by this place regularly for work, my coworkers have been recommending this place and I decided to stop in today. I chose to have the Philly Cheese Steak with no mushrooms and it was delicious and filling! I will be back again and I will be recommending to my friends as well! Next time I'm going to try their Donair Calzone, I was told they make them fresh. The photo shows only half portion... sorry, not sorry!

I’ve been coming here for a while and the food has slowly been going down hill. They currently don’t have any side offerings at the moment. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with no veggies. Ended up loaded with mushrooms and no chipotle sauce. Nothing like it used to be and sadly disappointing for such a simple sandwich. I hope you guys can turn things around.

I have driven by this place many times, always thinking it was a different type of business ( Big Daddys sign is right below yeg exotic). One of my work colleagues recommended it one day, stating the sandwichs were huge, tasty, and reasonably priced. She was right.

Sat down for lunch, the atmosphere won't knock your socks off, pretty basic place, ample seating. You definitely go there for the food. The sandwiches are massive and they have pie from Hathaways Diner, best pies in Edmonton. All in all worth a stop in, try all the sandwiches you won't be disappointed!

Amazing sandwiches and very big portions. Probably the best bang for the buck that I've gotten anywhere. You also get a soup with your sandwich, which was equally delicious. I'll definitely be back here. The staff are very courteous, friendly and genuinely nice people. Customer service is definitely something they take pride in, and it shows!

Another amazing experience at Big daddy’s. Whether I’m going in person, or ordering through skip the dishes they nail my order everytime. They go above and beyond and customize it just the way I like it! Cant recommend this place enough! Customer service is epic and so is the food!

The sandwiches are incredible. Cannot go wrong here. However, the donair poutine I received wasn't edible. It was incredibly salty... I don't know if the fries were over salted or what but I couldn't get more than a few bites into it. Stay away from the poutine! The photo I've attached shows the amount of salt. Wayyy too much. …

I had an excellent roast beef toasted sandwich. Doesn't get much better than this! The service is friendly and fast. Not many tables but if you can find one, it's a great place for lunch!

Unreal Sandwich Place! Wow - this place is legit. The portions/sizes were huge, the ingredients were fresh, the staff were friendly. I’m really glad I stopped in. Highly recommended. Definitely 2 hands required to eat the sandwich. Excited to try more on the menu.

Super quick service and the southwest chicken wrap was awesome, would have liked a little bit more sauce though. Sister got the clubhouse and said it was the best she ever had. Looking forward to eating here again and trying out other things on the menu.

I got a super donair here and worth the money no doubt. Will be coming back for sure. I go all over the city to try different donair shops out. This is one of my faves. They also have one of my favorite desserts peanut butter marshmallow squares.

I have eaten here a lot since it's been called Big Daddy's. I've noticed the quality and portion size had gone down significantly. It's too bad it's starting to go downhill. Here is there $14 turkey bacon melt...

Good food and large portions - great bang for your buck. Small venue, so it wasn’t crowded. Had bagged lunches ready for takeaway. Will definitely be coming back.
