Really enjoyed the SSUSA tournament at Big League Dreams. Here is the good and bad. The good: love the fact they moved the fences back to 300 down the line and 325/330 in center. Maintained the original feel of the ball parks and made the game feel right vice the short porches and ridiculous not stop HRs. Plenty of shade to get out of the sun for visitors and players. Dugouts where in good shape but need to replace the bat holders in the dugout since most are broken. Food was good for snacks and bar food no complaints on the service everyone was very nice. The bad: Paying to get in the fields make me feel that that playing conditions should be better. I do appreciate they are replacing the turf that is way over due and they’ve painted the some of the park so it doesn’t look trashy. It would be awesome if they could just set a standard and hold it to keep this place special. I really enjoy coming out here to play and love the MLB themes. I am thankful this park exists and hope the ownership continues to make improvements to provide the be best experience for us players.
June 2022 update. 3 years ago I left this a 1 star. Today I want to update how absurd this company is. The place looks like absolute garbage and run down. They now charge $8 for admission. Management has completely neglected this place and is now treating the customer worse with the fees. I feel sorry for the families that make the drive to watch their kids play. The fields are uneven. The stadium structures haven't been updated in years. The kids aren't even impressed. This is the last time we agree to have our team play in a tournament here. What a dump. Boy, this place has gone downhill. Prices for food and beverages are way up. 4 small chicken tenders and fries for like $12. $3 fee per person to get in the gate. Players fees higher than city/county. Outfield is full of small holes, bumps, and dead spots. Makes for a dangerous field. Only play here for winter ball because other fields are closed. This place used to be so great and well kept, that it made paying the premium manageable. Now it's a rip off.
This ballpark is an absolute disaster. To start with, we arrived at 7:15AM for an 8:15 game and there was one person at the gate checking bags for hundreds of people. Second, they charge admission for the PLAYERS! They do not allow players to bring in hydration/electrolyte drinks because they want them to each pay $4.00 for a Gatorade in their concession places. That is ridiculous. The replica parks are in horrendous condition. The signs are completely faded out from the sun, the backdrops are old, broken and just an eyesore. The playing fields are an absolute mess. Everything is fake, from the turf batters box (never seen this anywhere else) to the rubber pellets covering the "dirt" base paths. The pitchers mound was a joke, nothing like a real mound. The restaurant options were expensive and not appetizing at all. We were in Las Vegas for a 3 day tournament and one game in this park was too many, it is in great need of renovation and improvements!
Sunday was my first time there. I recently joined a softball league and needed to get some batting practice in. When I first pulled in, I wasn't sure where to go, until I noticed a very large baseball statue. Once I drove in the direction, the main entrance was pretty clear. From the moment I stepped in there, staff was very attentive (seeing as I had no idea what i was doing.) I traded my driver's license for a bat and a helmet, and the staff member let me know which batting cages were baseball and which were softball. He also told me about the tokens, and where to find the token machine. $1 for a token. 1 token gets you 20 balls. I had a really good time. Although- The only thing I wasn't very happy about... There's a sign out front, no carry-ins (food drink) but for a $3 bottle of water you have to walk kinda far to a restaurant. I think they should make water cheaper and more readily available/closer. (Like a cooler in the pro-shop)
Be prepared for a corporate experience. I came to watch my son play baseball. He played a double header here and the temps were around 106 for the day. Despite the weather your players are NOT allowed anything other than water. Why?? Because they sale Gatorade and you’re expected to pay their prices. So kids catching in full gear plus 100 degree plus temps can’t have a Gatorade unless parents fork out concession prices. That’s on top of the $8 we had to pay to get in to the game. So $32 per day for our family, times two days is $64, and we can’t save a nickel by bringing our own Gatorade. So be ready to walk out to your truck for a drink. They’re right. This is close to a real ball park cause everything cost an arm and a leg.
Let's cover this first.....DOGS ARE ALLOWED! I brought mine in with no issues. I only saw small dogs, like mine.... all on a leash and well behaved. No issues getting the dog through the front gate or hanging out with us inside the park. Other than that, the food is overpriced, the bar/food area was clean and inviting. The fields need to be updated BIG TIME! Still a fun place to go watch baseball. The batting cages all worked just fine. They take tokens, which you get at the front window. Hope this review helps out all the dog lovers out there who want to take your dog to this park.
The fields are nice and park is clean. If your child is playing a game on one of those fields, they will charge you $8 to get in to see your own child. And they won't let you bring any drinks in other than water. Even the players have to leave their Gatorades behind. They want customers to buy everything from them. I get that they have to make money somehow but players should be exempt from this very disappointing. Their snack bars food prices are comically high. I guess that explains the checkpoint at the entrance for food and drinks.
I've played alot of youth baseball games here, and the umpires can be pretty bad, they will miss balks, infield fly rules, and their strike zone is huge, which is great if you're a pitcher but when you're batting and a pitch at your shoulders is a strike, it gets ridiculous. Turf needs some work, and the outfield wall could be redone, but other than that, no complaints. Clean bathrooms, relaxed staff, good snack bar, nice seating area to watch some games.
The most unique batting cage and field complex I’ve EVER been to! They have numerous themed/miniature versions of actual big league ballparks (Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, Angels Stadium, Chavez Ravine, etc and other old school ones). Plus they have plenty of batting cages for both baseball and softball (slow, medium, fast). You can exchange dollars for tokens outside the batting cages, but there is an additional fee for admittance.
Came here to watch a baseball tournament. Plenty of parking. The fee was 8$ to get in and you get a 1$ coin back to redeem at the concession. Restroom were clean. The food was ok. Pizza was kinda burnt. Prices are a bit too hi but I understand. They are strict on what you bring in. Only water and fruit. Anything else is prohibited. They have plenty of seats but you might sit in the sun so bring an umbrella/canopy.
These baseball fields out here in Vegas are Dynamite excellent lighting good Fields turf they got inside where you can be in the air conditioner or you can watch it outside well lit buy you some cool beverages kind of pricey but I mean if you want to have fun you got to spend some money so I'm out here supporting my son and his team playing some baseball I'll see a little sweaty and he give his mama home run
Pretty good park. The many homeless in the park take away from wanting to take my children here. The lack of a boundry net between the soccer field and walkway is another negative. The two parks works we saw we're just riding in circles around the parking lot. Over 30 minutes not once did one of them stop and do anything. The other was napping for 45 minutes in the shade before starting his no stop driving.
The price to get in is double to 8 bucks and the fields are or is half of what you'd expect and the fields we played on rival the worst....I play in the outfield at 68 and I've never seen worse coverage for grass...they've painted over the walls and it's not a replica now Beer is expensive but nice to have a bar onsite.. My team no longer wants to play at worlds here The staff is great though...
Downtown ghetto park! The inside is gorgeous, but it’s so hard to enjoy a game knowing there are bums just right out side of the field breaking into cars. They charge for you to get in and you aren’t allowed any of your own drinks or food! Only plus side is they have an inside area to see all the fields for when it’s cold outside and I don’t feel like cheering husband on from outside!!
Very nice park from a spectator's perspective. Concession stands offer some options that are a little healthier (grilled chicken, turkey sandwich). Bathrooms are in convenient locations and kept clean and well stocked. All workers are friendly and welcoming. Everyone's temperature was taken as they entered the park. Mask rules were enforced throughout the park - not just as you enter.
Is a great complex, with little versions of some MLB stadiums , but for sure I'm this is not the best version. Pretty sure the best days are way back, lot of patches over the fields and lack of painting and maintenance over there. For kids, this must be great place. Enough parking spaces and bathrooms available inside. $8 entrance fee for visitors per day. Enjoy your visit.
The place is great. If you have never been there the woman at the window when you enter is not very helpful and her attitude isn't mean, it's poor like we are bothering her for tokens and information. Once you know how it works it's a 4 or 5 spot. It's recommended that you bring your own bat to the cages the loaners are worn out. Still a good time and economically priced.
Was fun to watch men's softball worlds tournament. The fields are amazing. I live in Ohio and the fact that they have fields look like real baseball fields and enjoyed to watch games played on some amazing backgrounds. Great place to visit. Plus the food wasn't bad and who can watch a ball game without a giant pickle and popcorn or hotdog.? Just saying. Was fun.
Wow, beautiful field. Wanted to hit some balls on vacation and ended up only being 9 dollars for an hour and a half of fun. That was rental of helmet and bat, entrance fee, drink, and about 100 baseballs to hit. The machines have some difficulties but they get fixed right away by staff. Softball and baseball pitch machines at various speeds, give it a look!
Decent fields but they had TSA-wannabe staff out front checking your bags. Not for weapons or any safety concerns, but to make sure you weren’t bringing any outside drinks into the facility. My 11 yr old had a Prime drink in his bag and they confiscated it. I’m still rolling my eyes and will not be spending any money in their concessions. SMH
We love coming here!! My husband plays and our whole family goes. It’s great to have to indoor restaurant/bar area especially when the weather isn’t the best. The kids love coming here. Between the playgrounds, the arcade, and the great food, they never get bored. We’ve met so many great people coming here.
Nice place to watch games especially because they have an indoor snack area where you can watch the games. Helpful when it's super hot outside. Restrooms generally very clean, which is important to me. Seats are stadium style but if you prefer your own seat, there is room for your folding chairs.
We had a practice and two games here for a vetrans day tournament. Absolutely top notch facility. Replica fields were fun, dugouts were big and clean. Fields were all turf and well maintained (albeit a little faded). Only knock would be the lack of food available suitable for young athletes.
Great fields designed to allow an older guy feel young again. Staff was very kind, helpful and caring. Awesome venue for competition for every age group. Thank you for having such a wonderful place to play! Look forward to many more opportunities to play at Big League Dreams ball parks!
What a great sports complex for little Leaguers. Four fields that mimic the big league fields, with a central food bar. Fairly good choices with all the old favorites as well. Beer and wine is served.. Air conditioned inside with viewing of the ball fields. Some covered seating.
What a beautiful stadium park to bring family and watch talented baseball kids. The facility through out was clean they offer outdoor seating or.inside but that is limited first come first serve. There is also alcohol and Wide Screen TVs for watching other sports.
I would give it 5*, but I despise paying to watch my own kid play. $6 to enter for adults is trash, coupled with the concession stand pricing...c'mon. $2 to enter then charge $10 for a combo... Fields are clean and the infield turf is a jij ocean touch.
Great facility to any softball tournament. The replicas of the major league stadiums gives you the illusion that you are playing at original MLB stadium. The only issue for the 3 starts is because the fields are not kept to par, they need lots of TLC.
This place is dirty! Pigeons are everywhere. They are not afraid of people, they fly over your head, and get into your personal space. I love being charged a $6 fee for up and close bird viewing. Not! Fields are ran down. They need some TLC!
Horrible condition! This place is in need of major repairs. The turf is unsafe for children to be playing on. Things falling apart. Overgrow weeds and plants. Should avoid playing here at all cost. Will never come to a tournament here again.
This is one of the dirtiest and in the worst condition fields I have seen. There where holes in the turf on 1st and 3rd. The dugouts are not blocked from the sun and when it is over 105 degrees and there are players under 14yrs old not used
My son has played many tournaments here, and we just love this place. I can't believe some people are giving less then a 5 star review. All of us in Las Vegas are so fortunate to have this facility here. It's meant to be a place where young
You charge double the price of entry on the weekend. Located in the most ghetto part of town vehicles get broken into on the regular. Umpires are dog awful. Henderson softball much better. Nice locations, better staff, free entry, and all
The facility is great. But two things keep me from giving this five stars. 1. An entrance fee on top of the league fee is unheard of elsewhere. 2. The leagues are toxic and umpires do nothing to control the attitudes of the teams.
The field was absolutely beautiful although I didn’t like the fact that they charge to get in and I couldn’t even take my Starbucks really they have a nice little snack bar beer bar that’s really pricey though …
Fields very run down. Theyre in the process of remodeling to my knowledge. Food very overpriced and quality of 50% of food items was poor for the price paid. Alcoholic beverages also expensive, comparable to a concert.
Great facility, only two things that really piss me off. If you are in a weekly league ran through BLD, not only do you have to pay 100$ season fee, you have to pay 3 bucks every time you enter the gate, my question
Really cool place nice shady seating areas and if it's too hot outside for you there is a place to send and still watch the game inside where it's air conditioned and they have pretty tasty food for a fair price
Really cool venue. Neat how each filed is based off different big league stadium. Seems well run, and kept in great condition. Wish we had something like this in San Antonio. Great place for tournaments.
Fun place and well organized. Fields are overall well maintained. Concession prices are fair and having two different places to buy food or drinks is nice. Looking forward to the next tournament there
An awesome facility! Baseball, softball fields for youth & adults. Great restrooms, stadium seating, & food/beverage areas. Batting cages are available also. Parking spaces are well lit & plentiful!
IF YOU HAVE A DIABETIC CHILD READ My child is a type 1 diabetic and I was denied bringing in a sugared drink for him and some candy because the manager thought the amount was “excessive” and
Great place to play softball and hang out with friends. Lots of parking, batting cages, concessions, great stadium seating at the ball fields. Plenty of shade covering the seating areas too.
It was surprisingly a little underwhelming for me. They are currently doing updates to the facility and fields. Maybe I'll give it another star or two next year after everything is complete.
$5 cash to get in. Food and drinks are a tad bit pricey BUT they are delicious and have a great staff with great personalities, everyone here is happy to work, even in the hot summer days.
It's unfortunate that it's located at freedom Park but they're nice it's a pretty nice huge stadium I like it honey gone once but they have games every week and every other day I think
it's ridiculous that they have to charge $8 a person... players coaches and spectators all have to pay this. many fields in Las Vegas are kept up much better and are free to play on
I have mixed feelings $6 to get in pitcher of beer $14. The place is clean with good service. Umpires not trained very well. Not enough shade over seating for hot sunny days..
A fantastic family park. Plenty of free parking. 6 ball fields, batting cages, indoor soccer, and two large snack bars. There is also a large play ground for the little ones.
We were there for a perfect game tournament. The food prices were a bit pricey. When you enter the park you pay 6.00 but in return you get 2 tokens to use at the snack bar.
They have an indoor soccer field, in addition to all the baseball and softball fields. But even with a fan blowing, it’s over 100 degrees inside, where it’s 95+ outside.
Nice turf fields with good seating for spectators. The restaurant was great to have in the middle of all the fields. It was a great place to hold a baseball tournament.
Play here on saturdays and love this place. My family can join and don't have to stand out in the heat and sit inside. Food is good but sometimes lines are long.
Fun for the family. You can practice your baseball skills in the batting cage while your kids can play on the playground also they have good food and very clean.
Great customer service. Sad the prices went up. And the fields could use some much needed attention however the venue is still great with ample parking.
Really fun for the family. I would give it 5 stars if they didn't get rid of XX beer. XX micheladas were the best. Sucks when places change ownerships.
Nice fields and great snack bar air conditioned comfortable. Still the same great parking and access to fields. Some revamping has been done there.
Fun atmosphere. Great place to watch your friends and family play softball. Indoor and outdoor seating. Refreshments and fun merchandise to buy!
Violated the American with Disabilities Act by denying a parent of a minor to bring in diabetic medical supplies into the facility for a player.
4 True Replicas of big leagues stadiums. Great youth games. Nice bar & decent bar food. Friendly Stagg. Cheapest batting cages in town!
Great park for many sports. However, the safety of the park is greatly compromised due to the population of homeless and addicts.
a good place to hold tournaments with several teams, the inteletions in very good condition, and it has a good parking area
Okay softball here is a lot of fun they have a lot of things to do at freedom Park I really recommend going there for fun
The Feilds are clean.. the indoor section has a batting cage and 4 baseball Feilds and restaurant and a small jungle gym
Huge, clean and technically available to be used 24/7. Love doing workouts there or just throwing around a ball
Twice I take my boys @ 11:50 On Sunday park shows open but gates are closed . Park needs better management.
Fun experience to play here. People were great. Food and drinks were good. Service was quick and friendly.
Great place to play ball or even spectate a game. Playground for kids and a I door soccer field!
Great park . However, the kid working the front entrance was rude and had the worst attitude.
Went for a corporate softball game! It was good food was good. And reasonable priced too!
My son's high school baseball team is the best! DPAC Agassi Campus go head then boys ⚾⚾
Great concept, good people and good atmosphere but thr fields need updated surfaces
They are improving the fields, but still have a way to go...decent place to play.
Very nice layout. Would never had imagined there was so much space inside.
This place is awesome, it's definitely like a dream playing on the fields
Wasnt bad besides the heat wAs a killer bring plenty of water
Great place o have your kids use up extra energy
It's good and they just replace most of the turf
Some fields are run down. Still fun to play at.
Very nice ball park. Costs to enter tho.
Still remodeling fields but had a blast
They Charge You $5 just for entry.
