The first time my fiance and I went there was great. We tried cinnamon rolls and their large 4 pack of yeast rolls and fell in love with them. After that, we've tried buying some more of those same yeast rolls and have either ordered in advance or stopped in to buy some and both times they have given us the wrong type of rolls despite what we ask for. One time we ordered a dozen and got tiny basic dinner rolls instead of the large yeast ones. They told him we asked by the wrong name, so next time to ask for the "big sandwhich rolls." We ordered the "big sandwhich rolls" like they said, wanting their yeast rolls, and they gave us big basic dinner rolls instead. It shouldn't be that hard to get some yeast rolls. I'm almost wondering if its personal, since everyone else gets their yeast rolls when they ask for them? The food is great, the miscommunication and getting the wrong things constantly? Not so much. We just want a dozen of their biggest yeast rolls :( not the plain dinner rolls

Talk about the best of the best! It's official, traveling across the states for work, I look for the best cinnamon rolls. Big Momma's regular cinnamon roll is it. The softest, stretchiest, best cinnamon roll I have EVER had. I can't say enough about this. I ended up trying the biscuits and gravy, and was pleasantly surprised. It's the first biscuits and gravy that I didn't add salt and pepper too, with the best biscuits imaginable! I WILL make this a regular stop every time I'm coming through the area!

This was the only black owned café open on Juneteenth in my area! I am so glad it was because I truly enjoyed my experience. 1) The owner was extremely friendly. He shared that he felt called to baking and it was so great to hear his story. 2) He is so clean and meticulous in a great way...as he was making the sandwich, he switched gloves if needing to also deal with other things. Additionally, I noticed that if a piece of tomato had any blemish, he would toss it. 3) The sandwich that I ate was bomb and it was a sub. The bread was homemade and the ingredients were so fresh. 4) They had cinnamon rolls of all sizes, and as someone who has to be careful with desserts...I really appreciate the mini one! Not to mention that it was so fresh and absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back!

I just randomly stopped in with my kid after we went to Home Depot. We went in around 3 pm and I assumed they’d be pretty picked over for the day and it might not be as fresh but they still had a great variety to choose from. We got 4 cinnamon rolls, 6 dinner rolls, a piece of pound cake, and a piece of carrot cake for just a bit more than $20. It was all so fresh! My kid talked me into the dinner rolls and I wasn’t overly excited about them but they are the best dinner rolls I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back!

I told my kids about a giant cinnamon roll I had once in KC (probably 14 years ago) at the Crown Center Mall. Some how I remembered the name and found the new location. We drove 3 hours straight and made sure to stop here first, even before going to the hotel. This time around was even better!!! The sandwich was amazing and fed myself and 2 kids, plus leftover cinnamon roll! It's truly giant! The gentleman running counter was so sweet, we didn't even mind the wait. Can't wait for our next trip down to KC

Found this place just by chance while out at my daughter’s lacrosse practice and we are so glad we did! She makes the best cinnamon rolls and sticky buns. Her prices are great. She was sold out of a lot by the time I stopped in and had dozens of pre-order bags packed up and ready for customers for thanksgiving. Which told me she must be good since she’s so busy. We bought a few other cakes by the slice that we haven’t tried yet. My boys gobbled up all the cinnamon rolls though. She was very nice and we are happy to have found her bakery!

We have been wanting to try this since they opened! I FINALLY got a chance to. It was one of the best sandwiches I ever had. We tried the tuna and the roast beef. The bread is what makes it. I also loved that it is locally owned and operated. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The lady who made our sandwich did it with love. You could just tell she cared about the food. She didn't just flop meat on there she nicely placed it and stacked it so pretty. The brownie was out of this world. I also loved how I could see personality in the decor. Fantastic experience. I have been telling everyone I know to go try it! SO... GO TRY IT! :)

Do you like cinnamon rolls? I do, but they must be of a proper effort, not the. Super uber sugar covered junk found in the stores and big chains. Yes people, most baked goods are of poor quality nowdays. So I popped in here for a quick sandwich and I looked down and immediately saw the fluffy, gorgeous rolls and knew I needed a few mini mommas. Omg they were so wonderful and not too sweet. I really love it here. From the sandwiches to the homemade soup and goodies made from scratch. I usually get the Bacon breakfast sandwich. It's crispy and cooked to perfection Every time. For lunch, the deli meat and ingredients always fresh. I usually get Roast Beef or Roast beef and turkey. But the Tuna and chicken salad are good as well. Don't get me started on the desserts. The brownies, cinnamon rolls, Lemon poundcake, strawberry cake, German chocolate cake, etc. I also like the sweet potato pie and lemon bars. You really can't go wrong with anything here.

This place is unexpected! I had the biscuits and gravy; this was the best biscuits and gravy I have ever eaten outside of my own kitchen! The sausage gravy was delicious and flavorful with tons of big sausage pieces. I usually don't order biscuits and gravy out because the gravy usually just tastes like wet flour, I am so happy I took a chance!! Next time I'm going to have to get a pecan roll too!

I tried this bakery for the 1st time yesterday. I went in and it was nice, clean and very organized. I do not eat a lot of cakes and cookies, but I had heard they served sandwiches. I ordered a turkey sandwich with the works. Man when I tell you the bread was delicious, I mean it was delicious!! So delicious I had to call up to the bakery and let them know. I also bout a vanilla cupcake and it was heaven. I have told all my friends and family to check this place out. They will definitely be seeing a lot of me.

I had a turkey sandwich with lettuce tomato pepper jack cheese and mayo. Everything on the sandwich was tasty. You could tell that the bread was homemade with just the right amount of sweetness. And there's not enough Stars to tell you how good the sweet potato bar was! Service was fast, very friendly and all at a great price. I will be returning with my friends!

Delicious baked goods! Located between 71 and 435, right in front of Home Depot, this bakery has a nice selection of breakfast and lunch items. Open from 7am to 3pm, and the cinnamon rolls are delicious. Plus you can get one as big as your head! Lots of parking and staff are very friendly. they have seating inside and sell savory food (sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, etc) in addition to the sweet baked goods

Stopped by Big Momma's and picked up a cinnamon roll and sticky bun. Both were excellent with the cinnamon roll towards the sweet end and the sticky bun eating a bit more savory. The dough was well executed, soft, well proofed, and with a great texture. Not overbaked. The staff were inviting and welcoming. I'd strongly suggest supporting this locally owned business!! I'll be back.

It's been a long time since I picked up anything from Big Mama's, back when it was in Crown Center. Anyway, I happened to be way south, so I stopped by and picked up an order of biscuit & sausage gravy and a selection of baked goods. The b&sg was amazing and mini-cinnamon roll great. I can hardly wait to try out the rolls for dinner tonight. The service was excellent.

I had a turkey sandwich w/Swiss, mayo, spicy Dijon, lettuce, onion, pickle, banana peppers. So good! They have like sweet bread rolls for the sandwich bread that is phenomenal! Really made the sandwich fresh, flavorful and left me wanting more! I also got a sweet potato bar and it was also excellent! The service was friendly and personable. Inside was clean and tidy

Just discovered Big Mamma's Bakery & Deli. A simple little spot, squeaky clean and the rolls are AMAZING. So fluffy soft and buttery. But we didn't stop at the rolls....the cookies and cakes are all freshly made and delicious too.

My husband is obsesed with cinnamon rolls so we had to try. Husband and I got the big momma cinnamon roll. They nailed it. It was bigger than my face. The roll was so fluffy. I would highly recommend this to anyone that has a sweet tooth. It tasted homemade. The staff was very friendly.

The biscuits and gravy were NOT good!! The biscuits tasted like they were a few days old, and was one tiny biscuit with this gravy that also tasted days old. I would not recommend it if your looking for good comfort food!! The prices are too high for the quality of food.

Homemade pound cake, affordable cinnamon rolls and the San which was AMAZING with the homemade bread. Cinnamon roll was fantastic. One thing I do not like about Cinnabon is that it is too gooey in the middle. These are not like that.

A very clean place, but there is no seating, inside or outside. I had a tasty cinnamon roll. You can choose your topping: cream cheese, caramel, or chocolate. That's great when you're with a crew that can't all agree on the topping.

Ordered dinner rolls for Thanksgiving and we were all very disappointed ☹️ in the flavor and texture. I started buying rolls from them when they had a shop in Raytown. Even followed them to Crown Center. They have lost a customer.

Went here for the first time today. What a friendly, welcoming place! Sticky pecan roll was super; sweet potato bar was very flavorful. Luscious cinnamon roll. And I’m very picky, as I’m a baker myself. We’ll be back when in KC!

Hands down the best cinnamon rolls in KC. If I hear anyone talking about cinnamon rolls I tell them they have to come to Big Mommas. They’re so fluffy and the icing is amazing. I drive from Lenexa to get them as often as I can.

Everything is amazing! Everyone talks about the cinnamon rolls and bread but the cookies are my absolute favorite. I don’t even like sugar cookies but I’d eat these all day. And the raisin and chocolate chip are even better!

Very disappointed , the brownie was dry. Worst of all the cinnamon roll was under baked. The center was doughy. The outside was really good. But for the price,over $6 ,my mother should have been able to eat the entire roll.

Definitely not worth the money! Biscuit and gravy so-so for what is obviously a canned gravy, mini cinnamon roll was pretty good, but larger ones over priced. Both of us and 3 others I know tried and won't be back.

I go here often for the Sweet Potato Cake they are delicious. I sometimes get a sandwich but they use sweet pickles and although I love pickles, sweet pickles just don’t taste good on a deli sandwich.

The cinnamon rolls are awesome. They have three sizes of rolls. You also get to choose the icing. There's the traditional icing, caramel, or chocolate. I got 3 mini rolls, one with each icing. Yummmm

Visited an hour before close. Amazing turtle brownie. Cashier made sure I got the softest one and I didn’t even ask! What great service. Would recommend!
