I am not rating this because of the staff. Your staff are lovely but your outsourced Security are an issue. Today and yesterday, I was in your store. Normally, I am a VERY big supporter of Big W, but as off today I will no longer support your store. I have watched your outsourced female security guard cross the line too many times now. Over the time you have outsourced your security, I have seen multiple clients and paying customers of yours be intimidated and feel uncomfortable around this security guard. She has stared at your clients chests and look them over as though they are thieves. I myself have been a victim of sorts of this woman’s gaze. Now I am no prude; but when customers come out of this store feeling uncomfortable and refuse to go in there while this security guard is on the door, surely management need to do SOMETHING. Today though, I watched a young lady enter your store with an elderly lady and a middle aged lady. There were no issues until your security guard felt the need to demand to look into the younger woman’s purse. The younger woman had put her purse in the trolley before she set foot in the store, and it had not been touched since she put it down. Upon coming out of the checkout, where your young staff member had already asked to look and been granted permission, your security guard didn’t even ask, but proceeded to scan the younger ladies handbag, causing obvious stress to the young woman. This young woman reminded the security guard that, without her express consent, she was not permitted to check her handbag, which had not been touched in the time they were in the store (before you ask they were shopping in very similar areas to myself) and told her she did not have her permission yo search her handbag. This was met with “You can not tell me how to do my job” from your security guard. This young woman was obviously learned in the laws of the land and knew her rights, and was well versed in the laws of this land (I would hazard to guess with how she held herself against your security guard that she herself had had some sort of Legal training) and your security guard handled this poorly by telling her and the middle aged woman that she was with that she should “Not come into the shop again”. I have already told everyone I know who patronises your store not to come back if this is the way you allow your outsourced staff to treat your paying customers, and will not be frequenting your store again. Hang your heads in Shame, Big W, Parkmore. This is not how you treat paying customers.
I never really share negative feedback - I try to understand that others may be having a bad day or going through something that affects their performance however, these past few days have genuinely been unbelievable. I placed x2 Direct to Boot orders recently and both experiences have been terrible. 1st on Saturday, we waited 20 minutes before ringing the store to let them know we had arrived. We were informed someone would be with us shortly. Another 20 minutes past. Today - the worst out of the 2. Again, I waited 20 - 30 minutes before contacting the store. I received no answer. I decided to enter the store to personally collect to only be told to return to the pick-up bay. I waited 30 minutes and no order. I called, numerous times, and nothing. I left. I returned at 17:40. I immediately contacted the store to inform them of my arrival and was told someone would be with me shortly. ONE HOUR. I arrived at 17:40 and I didn't leave until 18:40. I rarely encounter experiences which prevent me from returning to a particular store however, after these experiences, it's happened. I cannot go through this struggle again. As an FYI - I decided to put a review up rather than contacting Big W directly as after failing to reach the Parkmore store and then also failing to reach Head Office, I felt there was no other way to voice my frustration
This is the worst experience at big w Parkmore in which the security demonstrated outages and unprofessional behaviours towards me. I know what you are thinking, security guard is supposed to stop people for inspection of bags, but that is not how it happened in this case. I exchanged the faulty item at the technology counter where the lady said it’s ok to exit without exchange receipts so I explained to the Indian security guard what happened and told him the item can only be obtained in the staff-only storage room so no customers are able to steal cos it’s not on the shelf. He rudely interrupted me and called store manager as well as police to arrest me without doing facts checking first. Everyone thought I did steal something but I did not, after they got what actually happened, the Indian security did not apologise for his for accusing me of stealing. I will tolerate this public humiliation and contact my attorney for some legal advise in regards this which I was advised to write a formal complaint to Big W management team first. Can you please forward this to the upper manager to sort it out cos this Indian security guard will do this to anyone else and I’m pretty sure some of the tough customers will not take this lightly. 15th of June at 1:30pm, I and my daughter were down at Parkmore as we went into BIG W we had tried to find an employee... To find out how much these boots cost as they were advertised for $20We tried to put the articles under the scanner as the scanners didnt work for a price check... And so we went around to find someone which we did in the end they told us to go back to the shoes department... and wait for someone to attend to our enquiry in the meantime 2 of these employees of BIG W we're coming around with baby clothes... As I heard them say that they didn't want to serve us 2 ladies as they wanted this other salesperson to come and help us... This really hurt me being a disabled person I don't think it's fair by your employees saying these sort of things.. As I have been a customer there for over 20 years as I have had family members work in the centre itself many years ago.. This is discrimination towards a person that has a scooter, or a disability in general ,This needs to be looked into, thats apauling the way tour staff handled them selves, not to mention you couldnt get through the isles with all the boxes there for your Christmas in July every year could not get through the place I would give 2 out of 10 for Big W, thank you,
Really disappointed that no one was able to unlock a trolley for me today. In fact one employee was quite rude. I had mistakenly prepared $1 instead of $2. I had my 2 yr old daughter in tow and a long list of things I wanted to purchase but unfortunately was only able to purchase half the items I needed. BTW anyone with a big w trolley is guaranteed to LOSE that $2 because there will never be another big w trolley in the trolley bay in the car park. Kmart ALWAYS unlocks a trolley for me if I don't have a coin like it's no big deal. This is NOT THE FIRST TIME big w employees have been rude regarding the trolleys. Do you give them specific training to NOT ALLOW CUSTOMERS to get access to them?? Once a lady was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE ON XMAS EVE regarding the trolleys. I once joked with my hair dresser in Mordialloc about how rude big w staff were AND SHE KNEW EXACTLY WHICH EMPLOYEES I WAS REFFERING TO. They had been rude to her too! Just give us a trolley pls!
I tried to return the milk frother but, I've been waiting for a long time but no one showed up. I called the number. Then suddenly the lady came with unhappy expression. She said she can't return the milk frother, I have to clean it first. I told her the water keep coming from the bottom. So no point of cleaning. Then I clean the milk frother in the front desk. Because of that, I lose my receipt. When I came back to the service, I couldn't find the receipt, I'm sure it drop somewhere when I try to clean the thing. When I came out from the store, the man checked my bag, then other staff came, and make fun of me, don't you check my bag as well? This is the first time staff member making fun of me. I couldn't understand, I just try to return the milk frother. I returned air purifier in BigW southland, everything is fine. But only for $30 milk frother, all the staff making fun of me. Especially the indian staff. I'm not racist. But it is what it is.
The lady was in the counter was very grumpy & asked me to go over there & stand in a rude & grumpy way,Totally ignoring me, very grumpy looking face , No greetings nothing, she made me very uncomfortable If she was busy I would have understood but I was the only one in the queue that time.I believe that she doesn’t deserve to be at the counter if she doesn’t know the meaning of customer care,it’s more of a CUSTOMER SCARE than customer care , Please whenever you are visiting the BIG W in parkmore shopping centre be aware of this lady called HAILEY! I tried to get hold of the manager over the phone to make my concern but unfortunately couldn’t reachable as he was at a meeting.Hailey is tarnishing the image of BIG W at parkmore while sitting at the counter & I don’t think she deserves to be at the very front if she can’t even throw a nice smile to the customers.
Socks are 5 pairs for $10 so we purchased 5. At the checkout the pricing was so confusing and came down to $13 for socks rather than $10 as some were $1 and some were $3. Horrible. Turns out pricing had issues and was not clear as crew and ankle socks were hung together on the same shelf which made it seem like both anklet and crew socks are 5 pairs for $10 which was not the case. Spent ages here trying to sort out the problem. Pricing needs to be a lot clearer which saves everyone a lot of time as its such a large store. Organization could be better. Girl who helped us out today was also super confused by the pricing and took her ages to work it out for us also and also sought assistance. Could feel she was annoyed but she was patient. Sort out your prices Big W. It doesn't need to be that difficult.
This is the worst shopping experience I've ever experienced, my sister and i were just walking holding makeup and bras we were about to purchase when one lady called us out and asked to check our pockets which we both had nothing in, we were confused and i asked her what we did wrong, she ignored my question and told her all coworkers to keep an eye on us because we were suspicious! I was extremely disappointed and angry over the way they handled things when we were literally just holding makeup and bras? I was extremely uncomfortable when i was walking in bigw because of all the eyes on us, and workers following us, when we checked out, they had 2 securities to check our bag/receipt and also our pockets again. This was such an unpleasant situation and i find the customer service unacceptable.
Visited big w yesterday to purchase some makeup for a wedding i was going to last night and try on some winter jackets. The workers made my friend and i feel very attacked and intimidated as they seemed to be following us around and staring at us. I went to change some makeup i had and one lady with short brown hair was staring right at me from afar even when i looked at her. When i walked off i had overheard them talking quite loudly saying “makeup” so i knew they were clearly talking about me. After i had purchased my items and was about to leave the shop, i was swarmed by the workers and questioned about the remaining items i decided not to purchase anymore. This wasn’t at all a welcoming shopping experience but rather a gang up and a discriminative attempt at trying to catch someone out.
Visited the store for the first time today. Male door greeter (dressed in pants, runners and hoodie) was too busy scolling through his phone to lift his head up. No staff to be seen on the floor or the fitting rooms to assist. There was a hold up with the removal of a security button at the one serviced register operating - instead of suspending the transaction and continuing serving (while another staff member be called to help out) the operator tried another registers unit to no avail. Finally another staff member came, she suspended the transaction and finally began serving me and the four other customers behind me!!! Two stars because the store looked clean and tidy and I was able to purchase what I went in for!!
This is a special appreciation post and 5 stars for the absolutely lovely KYLIE at your store. We had called the store, to check prior to picking up a massive day bed, around 7:30pm 6/1/2019, if someone would be able to bring it to the loading dock to put into our car. The person I spoke to said that there’s only two ladies working and they wouldn’t be able to help out. But when we got to the store and met this absolute gem, Kylie, she not only bought the massive chair out to the loading dock, she even helped us pack it into the car. She was so pleasant to deal with and had a massive smile on her face. Thank you , Kylie. We truly appreciate your work and helpfulness.
Absolutely disgusting customer service from your manager on duty just now. Absolutely no empathy or understanding. Drove a significant difference to buy an item that was out of stock from several stores. I understand your store hours are fixed but I was at the shopping centre before that time but the security doors were all locked except one, was driving around for ages. Finally after running through I managed to find my way only to be told we are closed and having to explain my story several times because no staff members wanted to communicate with each other. There is a reason Kmart and target are surpassing you in sales and hold more customers. They care.
There are "SOME" nice decent people working at the department store but generally you find the stupid ones at the front counter especially at the self serve section. Their behavior and attitude is something like they just don't want to be there, like their spirit has left their pathetic human body and only their shell is there to just BE there and be stupid, chit chatting away, customer needs help waits 5 mins then assists them which is horrible to say the least, customers are NUMBER 1 and are ALWAYS number 1. I shop there a few times and I just buy my things and just leave.
These five stars all go to the employee Alicia in service. I went in there yesterday with a order tracking issue and very little information as I somehow deleted my confirmation email. It seemed like there was an issue with their shipping and receiving system when I got to the head of the queue. Alicia bent over backwards to manually help me with my query despite the fact that she was doing a shift huddle for her employees, getting ready to close down shop and navigating the system error. She deserves a pay rise!
Extending my compliments and appreciation for the exceptional customer service demonstrated towards me by team member ‘Sam’. After searching for a particular bag in store, I approached Sam and enquired after this product. Sam immediately guided me to the location and then kindly offered to check for additional stock varieties out the back. Sam was especially friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic in his attitude towards helping me obtain exactly what I needed. Sam is a great representative of Big W Keysborough!
Look, Big W as a store is Great. Awesome Quality, amazing prices and often have everything stocked. However this Big W at Parkmore, is absolutely horrible. The staff are very rude and disrespectful, almost like they don’t care about their customers, they have almost no idea where products are. They always have issues with stocking and their staff are unfriendly about it. I advise that you avoid visiting this Big W at Parkmore. Instead you should try the on at Dandenong Plaza.... they are a Million times better
I dashed in to get a Christmas gift from my flatmate to his friend and naturally I had to have a wander. Totally broke I went into the linen section as I need some single bed items. Me being blonde I couldn't work the prices out. This extremely lovely helpful middle aged lady helped me so so much as far as I'm concerned she went above and beyond the call of duty. What a magnificent pre-Christmas shopping experience. The self service checkout chap was also extremely helpful and lovely. Also he was quite cute.
Always busy! I am disabled and called ahead to ask if they had an item in stock and if they could hold it for me until I git there as I was in a lot of vain and wasn't able to wander a crowded store looking for something they may not even have. They were kind enough to find it for me; hold it for one hour and if I could get down there in that time I could collect it, pay and leave. They didn't have to assist me as they did, especially over the busy Christmas period. I'm so grateful they did.
We bought a blender couple months back and we didn’t have the receipt with us, it was faulty, since it was covered by a warranty, we went to the same store to replace the item. Staff was not helpful at all. Unfortunately We had paid for the item by cash and they asked us to provide a proof of payment, unless they cannot do anything. Even the manager was not friendly or helpful at all. We left the item in the store and came back. Never going to do any shopping in Big W hereafter.
Its ok but they sold me a repackaged phone that didn't work well many problems and I couldn't return it as was stuck in hospital by time I got out it was past return date. Today the 17 of december 2020 they we're not nice I asked if I could get a dearer fitted sheet for same price as a cheaper fitted sheet that someone opened because of covid people should not do this so if I get covid I will be very angry who knows if the person coughed on it I have health problems
Pathetic customer service by service department for returns . Rude and disrespectful. Try to explain me their return polity and on giving my reason she said “ did u heard me “, and when I said “ did u heard me “, she got defensive and called on her manager as back up as I was threat to her , Kir..y was helpful to resolve situation at last , which was avoidable at first place by just taking nicely or otherwise be ready to get it back on ur face .
Quality is ok and prices are average and can be on the expensive side. Not impressed that outside it is advertised that afterpay is now available in store and when I got to the checkout with $45 worth of stuff they wouldn't accept afterpay cause it has to be atleast $50. 1 that is not ok, I've never known a place to have a limit and 2 if that's the case it needs to be put on the sign saying afterpay available, miss leading advertising is not acceptable
I always like shopping at Big W until today. I had to lift a heavy item, 1. to place in the trolley 2. to place on the belt, but for me it was heavy, 3. and place it back into my trolley..I am not.complaing about 1 and 2. and the woman on the register didn't show any concern. She knew I was struggling but offered no assistance or ask one of the staff to come and help me place it back in But still enjoying shopping at Big W
Love this place! I like how they planned out the entrance for COVID, soo much professional than kmart! Don’t get me wrong, I love kmart! But big w did good with the whole entry part! Thumbs up to u! Great place! The prices not soo cheap as kmart lol but a lot more lasting clothes here compared to kmart lol still a good place to get nice dress up clothes for my kids on special occasions.

This was Sadly not stocked by Big W but the assistance I received from two of the team members was nothing but extremely helpful and friendly indeed. Even told where I could find my wanted item and that was from competitors store. Well done Big W for putting the customer first. I will continue to shop here for all my purchases.
Very disappointed with the service in regards to covid checking by a staff member. Every person is checked that they have a certificate of vaccination. One person came on wearing no mask and said why do I have to wear a mask. I never wear one. He advised the staff member that he had a special condition, but no paperwork was provided to that effect. Well why the hell not!!!

Big W Parkmore is also located in Parkmore shopping Centre in Keysborough it has a big range of home and everyday items as well as good clothing which is very cheap. the staff there are very helpful and friendly and you can also return big W branded products without a receipt for in store credit. I highly recommend big W Parkmore.
Had searched online for a Big W that accepted Westfield gift cards and online said it took them so we decided to shop here when we arrived at the counter I had started unpacking and then I thought to double check but her tone when she answered was so shocking we just put our shopping down and walked out and went to another Big W.
I love Big W, but you better hope you don't need assistance when you go to this one. Every time I ask for help finding something I've seen online, they point in a direction and refuse to provide anymore assistance, even when I told them I already looked where they're saying. Terrible customer service, lazy and bad attitudes.
Was looking for micro usb cable. Hard to find because Apple cables were in one spot and usb cables in a completely different location about 20 m away. Of course I found the Apple cables first and thoungh Big W didnt stock the Android type and was heading home when I accidentally found them. Otherwise Big W was fine.
Try to do a click and collect over a week ago now. Not a big one either but costs.. still not ready!!! I ask why and they say everytime they don't have the staff. They are very rude and I will not be shopping there again. Still haven't recieved my items almost 2 weeks and they refuse to refund over 100 bucks!
Good old Parkmore, got to go for the old community shopping centre feel. There's everything you need except for fashion. Who needs Chadstone chaos!? Great place for the grocery, continental shopping or just grab a nice lunch or cuppa with your mum/friends in your trackie dacks and no make up!
great department store with a great choice of clothing and accessories and home items at a good reasonable prices. service was nice but most of the time people can be rude and leave empty drinks at the shelf and did end up making it look messy. beside that Christmas items has a lot variety.
Click and collect is taking too long. It's been days since I placed the order. I only selected this store for collection because it said all items were available here. I never have this issue at fountain gate. Also you can never get a hold of the store because they never answer the phone.
Bought a pair of sleepers on special but was wrong size. Can't even return and exchange for right size. This is absolutely appalling. Had to give 1 star but really you don't deserve any. Be careful to buy anything from this place unless you choose careful in size if items are on special.
Staff members are not willing to unlock a trolley to a customer with no coin. Not acceptable. They promote safety of staff n customers in-store but when someone purchases heavy items they don't care if you carry them in your hands and break your back. How difficult to release a trolley.
What is up with the stupid chat bot on the phone?? Can’t even ask a simple question about my order and they have a wait of 27 mins? Everytime I go in there it’s not that busy for someone to not answer a phone. Door greeters don’t even greet people , what even is the point of them ?
Pretty nice! They have almost everything here. You could find books, iPads, movies, clothes, toys and everything in between. The workers won’t disturb you while you shop, which is awesome. They’re cool and will help you if you ask, though. Would recommend for introverts.
Today being Thursday eve, 1 self service attendant busy helping the terrible self service machines... i stood in a line of approx 10 people waiting for a machine. No other assitants or checkouts open. I ended up walking out without purchases. May not ever return
They are slow to make contact after a click and collect purchase.. but I rang and spoke to a girl called Alessia and she was so helpful and made everything happen for me right away.. turned the experience around for me.. perhaps employ more people like Alessia!
Big W is a lovely big store carrying just about everything you could want for your home, your family or yourself. The staff are all very helpful.I bought some lovely quality winter bed sheets for a very reasonable price. It's my go to store in Parkmore Centre.
Amazing! Really happy with the fast customer service from the team at this store. Ive purchased 4 click and collect orders during thia covid period and they have always been ready for collection at approximately 2-3 hrs same day! Big W is doing a good job!
Not overly impressed with this store. Staff are not helpful. The attendant at the door was wearing the most filthy trackies and then had the nerve to judge me, wanting to check my bags. If your store has door staff, at least have them looking presentable.
Rang for an item I wanted to know if they have any on stock. Lady transferred me to IT and I was waiting 9:07 minutes for someone to pick up. Just because I wasn't there in person to be served doesn't mean yous can't server others on the phone !! PATHETIC
Very rude and abrupt staff member at cash register. I left my items, and left the store without buying them. Will not return, which is a shame as this is my regular store when i visit Parkmore. Now I will go to Kmart for everything.
Click and collect orders are taking too long to be prepared. Not sure why they are even showing collection windows when buying products if they cannot prepare the orders on time. You need to be more organised and know your capacity.
Time is Wasteed 45 mintues just to buy tab contectless card on Desk, they even didn't show any interest to go through card, then I have yo pay $ cash. Need to improve with more staff on desk and with full knowledge. …
Very poor service with direct to boot, as 15min wait, cant call the store as contact number goes to a chat bot which is useless, this was the 2nd time it's happened thankfully last time as I will not use Big W again.
I like a good bargain as much as the next person so abit disappointed they didn't have much (in comparison to others, & competitors esp) during my visit but would totally go back, to check just in case …
Big W always has a good range of items and is nicely presented throughout the store. Things are generally neat and tidy without boxes cluttering the isles. Staff were friendly and checkouts were quick.
Comfy, clean and spacious environment for shopping. Fairly good customer service.....staff very helpful. Always able to find what we are looking for when at this Big W. Pretty good sales at times.

Went there to buy a new pair of shoes,they had a great variety to choose from found a perfect pair and at a fantastic price,also found that perfect pair of jeans for my partner.
Always find a wide variety of products at competitive prices. Personally prefer manned checkout, as the ladies there are very pleasant and helpful, as us all the staff.
A firm favorite been to the store since it opened (used to be Venture ) great prices wide selection of goods and always quality items. Keep up the excellent work …

None of price checks worked.. No customer service staff available in store for finding products or enquiry about prices...!!
I like their electrical.We bought a deep fryer there a few weeks ago.(Electricals). And thinking of buying a Microwave too.
Really unattractive store. Walking into this store is a let down. Its not got alot of stock and thr floor plan is unusual.
Pretty good. Clean and helpful staff when you find them. Selection is average, and restocking of shelves is complacent.

Bargins to be had, straight in and out or you can choose to stay longer and look at the many things on offer.
