At 11.30 on 23/05 a female staff member was very rude and unprofessional. My mum was holding the button on the front doors for me as i was entering with a large heavy trolley of storage. And this staff member was scolding my mum for holding the door open for me even though the door was going to close on me if she didnt. We then obviously needed to use the lift as we had a large trolley as stated above, but the staff member left without us even though we could have fit in the lift with her as it was only herself with two other people and no trolleys. So we waited for the lift to come back down or even for the other one to come down, but we waited more than 5 minutes to no avail. So i went to the reception to ask someone for help, this member of staff in the reception was very nice, polite and helpful. He went upstairs and found that the female staff member had not closed the lift door (which was very rude as we obviously needed the lift). He closed the lift so that it was able to come down to us on the ground floor. I would not normally do this but me and my mum were in a hurry to get this done quickly, so we were taken aback to find this woman to be so rude and unproffesional, so we hope you can look into this situation. But much thanks to the male staff member for dealing with the situation swiftly for us, he was great.

I made a reservation for the 17th of November to this store, when I arrived at the place I did not have the online check in finished. The lady with glasses, the receptionist of this store who identified herself as the manager, was rude with me when she told us that we couldn't be at the reception because we disturb her. I did not want to argue and quietly I left the store and finished checking in online outside the reception. This lady questioned the inventory, I said that I would put everything I had in my head at the time because I have more things to come, but I had not yet decided everything I would keep, in a disrespectful and rude manner, she told me she will not check in if I didn't complete the inventory. I was furious, not because the inventory but at the disrespectful way this lady addressed me, as I am the shop's customer. If this is how this store treats their customers so I strongly recommend that potential customers flee out this store otherwise they are in danger of being treated badly by this lady!

I booked a room at Big Yellow and I moved in yesterday. The check in form that I filled in before I went there was very easy to do. When I got there Shabana was extremely helpful I originally reserved a room that 75sqft but it was too big. I explained to Shabana that I reserved the wrong size and she showed me a smaller one that was better for my needs. She also explained the alarm deactivation system and how to reactivate the alarm on my room. She explained the yellow phone for out of hours security help. Where the toilet is,how to get to my room via the stairs. Shabana went through the booking form with me and explained the process if I got behind on payments and made sure I had my passport back. Then she gave me the padlock and set the combination for me. There were 2 guys in reception as well as Shabana and the were also very friendly. So if you use the Big Yellow then you will be in good hands with the staff. I definitely recommend the Big Yellow and Shabana is fantastic. Thanks very much Shabana

Arrived just before 5pm to check in after a difficult day of removal work for a friend. The check in process took about 45 minutes as there was only one staff on the desk instead of three, and the questions and information was far too much, such as itemising and valuing every item. This could surely have been offered online beforehand. Be warned. However the level of security was impressive, two levels of entry code for access plus 10 minute max time to reach your locker. One toilet available on the ground floor. Access allowed outside office hours for a charge and extra security code. A great plus is flexibility and choice of room size, and competitive rates, including the compulsory insurance charge.

Five star service provided by the Big Yellow Hanger Lane Team. Casha (Store Manager) and Salman are always there to help. Casha was fantastic, she helped me choose the correct unit sizes which would suit my business needs. I have moved in additional 350 sq ft+ and will not hestitate any further to occupy additional unit sizes. The entire Big Yellow Hanger Lane team are professional and I feel that they are an asset to Big Yellow. They are a pleasure to work with, and they have made things easy. I would definitely recommend the Hanger Lane store to friends, families and other businesses. Five Stars!

The customer service was amazing. Shabana helped when moving my stuff into storage as well as moving my stuff out. she was so friendly, made the whole process as easy as possible, and I left feeling very satisfied and happy. When I moved my stuff out I was having a complete nightmare, between hiring my car that decided to completely not work at one point and moving into my new accommodation that didn't have my room ready when I arrived. Everything went wrong, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that Shabana was my salvation. She made a stressful day feel a whole lot lighter. Thank you Shabana!

Great service from Heather and the team! I got a storage unit in December 2018 and all members of staff we're absolutely great, from the manager to all the boys on the shift. I have promised to leave a review for quite some time now and finally managed to do it. The contract was made promptly and without any issues, my belongings we're absolutely safe until the end of the contract. There was a security issue as a result of my own fault and the team immediately announced me and secured the padlock for me until I could arrive and lock it properly. Again what a great team and thank you!

The staff were very helpful. Heather and Jamal were extremely helpful and when I came in on 15.1.19 Lalit came outside and addressed me by my first name even though I have not asked to be called by my first name. Whilst im trying to keep an eye on my disabled son he started complaining that my 2 boys were messing up the front of the building. They were just messing around with the white foam stuff that comes in packaging which will get blown away by the wind. I would only recommend Heather or Jamal when using this storage unit which I hope I will never have to use again.

By far the best self-storage locally. I had stopped by when looking for storage before I move houses. The service I received from Kasia, Shabana and Ali was amazing, they were so helpful and so genuine. The facility is also better than what I have seen locally. From security to cleanliness! The other places I have seen locally had broken car park gate or no car park gate or broken lifts. Not the case with big yellow. This really was a true purpose built self-storage facility. I have been a recurring customer to Big Yellow Hanger Lane over the years and compared to 4-5 years ago, by far this team is a welcome change. They manage the whole process from purchasing storage to exit super seamless. A special mention to their partner removals company Removal Remedy. All truly understand how to make life easier for their clients.

Had a nightmare few days completing on a house but Lalit and Heather were fantastically flexible allowing me late access and last minute extensions and so on. Found the animation on the website a real help too when deciding which size I needed. Plus I came round to view it beforehand and the staff we accommodating. Lastly, I choose this branch over another local storage place and there’s a big car park so unloading / loading etc is easy.

The reservation experience was smooth and easy. Everything was done online. Customer service at check-in was wonderful. Ali was so friendly, patient and thorough with all the information I needed to sign. He was really kind and professional. It made the whole experience great. The prices are reasonable too. Only thing is perhaps, providing a trash bin or garbage disposal area. Otherwise, highly recommended!

The Big Yellow Hanger Lane is very conveniently located, easy to find, easy to access, and with a security system in place that makes me feel safe and secure leaving items there. The service, is superb. Katarzyna and Shabana were incredible. They both answered any questions I had diligently, and made the process of registering the storage unit effortless. We needed some boxes for an office move and this place was just right. The manager there was fantastic provided a great discount. They have a good up sell technique, had needed more boxes we may have taken them up on the offer. They sell boxes by the singles or in multi packs. Oh yes they also sell bubble wrap, tape market and plastic tubs. Well worth a look if you're moving and need packing materials.

This place is very well run with extremely helpful staff - Shabana and Ali on the front desk were friendly, polite and keen to make the process of signing up and moving my stuff in as swift and efficient as possible. It's not cheap, but they often have some kind of promo offer on for the first few weeks of any deal so this helps soften the blow. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

Shabana was an absolute pleasure to work with, she helped me decide on a suitable sized storage unit, and explained how she could help with getting me the best deal. She explained the importance of the inventory, and was just generally very knowledgeable and professional. I am inclined to leave a good review because i was so impressed with the service and highly recommend it to others.

Great support on check in. Very clear instructions. The facilities are very clean. Even though there was a mess up with my room number, they were able to fix it quickly and provided me a look at different storage rooms. Elevators works good and enough trolleys available for the move, even when there was some big trucks movings their merchandise as I moved in. Thank you Mahfuz.

I needed a storage in SOS and I decided to go with The Big Yellow. I arrived 10 minutes before closing because of heavy traffic, but there was this lovely lady who stayed over her woking hours just so she can help me get my very first storage space. She explained everything very clearly and it was a pleasant first experience. 5* for Kasia!

The move-in process was really easy, everything was explained very well. They show you the room you have chosen in case you need a bigger space or smaller. All the costs seem very fair. The only con is that you need a physical card to make the first payment, and I wanted to pay with my E-card but it’s nothing that can’t be solved.

This was my first time using a storage unit and it was a pleasant experience thanks to Big Yellow Self Storage Hanger Lane! Serves the purpose of storage although you may find pigeon droppings on your stuff. Personally I find the fact that people horde stuff they don't want reprehensible in a world overflowing in waste but I guess there is a need for this as there seems to be so many of these facilities springing up all over.

Never store your items at this place. They have rats all over the place and all my boxes were damaged due to this. All stuff is ruined now, who will bear the cost of all my stuff?

Reliable staff, prices are.... OK. But for packaging stuff, you might want Amazon, or the Wickes opposite the road, unless it's urgent.

Spacious, 2 lifts plenty of trolleys and carts . A lot of room for several vehicles. Good location as well. Staff friendly and helpful.
