It's a cool little store with the usuals; sodas, beer, ice cream, etc. There are also clothes, pencils, notepads, scented candles, its reminscent of those Spencer's Stores in malls. What wasn't usual was the rather bored, kinda cold natured woman who greeted me, not from behind the counter but from a table placed in the adjacent room. I had never been to this store even though I ride by on it my bike like every other day. It was weird to be in there like she was hounding me to get something and then get. I think small businesses, who aren't franchised or in bed with corporate, should show a bit more gratitude and appreciation to their customers. Not saying to bake me a cake cause I'm an All-Star customer, but make it so I would return with my business.

What can I say, this title gem has it all…One of the most unique shops in the city! Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. I had a last minute party and stopped by and the kind lady, Annie, made wonderful suggestions. Everyone at the party wanted to know where i bought the wine. The owner, Courtney, keeps the store stocked with just about anything you could imagine. Terry, one of the clerks, is funny as hell and just a cool dude. If your in the neighbourhood, you should definitely support this small locally owned business.

This Bodega is a destination! It has all sorts of items that you need and probably some you didn’t know you needed. The inventory is constantly being updated so each visit offers new possibilities. The beer selection is outstanding especially if you are into the craft beer craze. They also carry some basic pantry items, vintage t-shirts and cassette tapes. The staff is super and the owner goes out of her way to support local vendors, artists and musicians so be a part of the community and support this local jem!!

So this is my cousin's bodega so I will obviously be generous on the review... She really does have a cool shop in a great location. I got the pleasure to be there and help her with stocking the shelves and making a sign. The place really has a little bit of everything from craft beer to art for sale. Go see her after a night at Last Concert Cafe or after you get some new Ink at Red Eye Gallery. Peace

Favorite little store ever. The customer service is excellent. It's like walking up to friends I've known forever. There's always something new and unique to buy. The store supports local artists and the community. It's a cute little gem tucked away in the concrete jungle of downtown Houston. Gifts, snacks, cold drinks, excellent wine and craft beer selection.

This place is so freaking cool. It carries everything from vintage candy to clothes to full meals to beverages to enamel pins. It's got art instillations everywhere you look. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a must stop destination for EADO locals. The only thing that would make this place better is a deli. Love love love!!

Black’s Bodega is a Must see location. Sitting unassuming smack dab in the middle or Artistic Studios. The Bodega has a panopoly of items.... food, drink, art, smoke articles, pins, patches, nostalgic candy, mexican candy, gift items, tapes, albums...... just so much stuff. Love this hidden gem.

This place is amazing! Owner and staff are very cool. The selection of items are plentiful. Reminds me of Blue Royal Grocery out in Austin. This is the only concept that this place can be compared to. Hands down one of Houston's best kept secret.

The blonde clerk attendant lady aggressively screamed at me while pushing/ grabbing me out of the store because I said something smart to her. She proceeded to run and hit the hood of my truck screaming on a public street . Have dash cam

Courtney is super friendly and has a great shop! Beers, wines, pantry items and even some music stuff (drum sticks, tubes, strings) for the music studios next door! Stop in a pick up a drink or a snack as you make your way around Houston!

I purchase single Yellow Rose in the past at this store. I just was told by a man in charge that now they only sell them sometimes. But I can buy a six pack. So if anyone else like to buy a single Yellow Rose, make sure you call ahead.

Y’all this is my sister’s store. She’s got a little bit of everything available here. Craft beer, guitar strings, snacks and drinks. Go check out Black’s Bodega you won’t regret it. Hopefully she has Hugs Donuts in stock when you go.

Extraordinary place! Mood rings for my awesome girlfriend, respectable beer selection (although it would be nice if they sold Pearl beer), Little Kitchen Food, great owner, 100% hip. I recommend to everyone.

This is by far the coolest bodega I’ve been to in Houston. You can get everything from your favorite childhood snacks and beverages to a vintage t-shirt or cassette tape. Such a fun shop!

I went here after getting a tattoo. And was so broke lol. The woman in the shop knocked ten bucks off a very cool 713 shirt. She has some super unique things. And I’ll be back

The only legit bodega in town, has tons of local grown goodies that you can’t find anywhere else- clothing, pipes, beer. And the shop owner is the coolest around !!

  • Nancy Gomes

Blacks Bodega has it all! Great customer service plus a variety of every day needs and wants. I can’t remember the last time I left there disappointed.

A very optional and awesome convenience store. They got so much stuff on hand. And stuff that you would have not seen in other stores

  • K Platt

Courtney (owner) is a doll! This is not your average corner store - it's eclectic and fun. Great selection of craft beers and candy.
