I'm not sure who does the reservations for the field there but they must be mentally challenged. They let soccer reserve at same time as baseball. Same field. And told both to work it out and share... Well I'm sure you understand you can't move the baseball field. So what we have is soccer trying to play in the outfield. And constantly coming very close to taking a baseball to their noggin. Which I guess the end result would make them prime candidates for a job making reservations for the city.!! Or they would be accepted to OU without hesitation. Either way not good outcomes. Ridiculous. I mean look at the guy with the glasses. He wasn't born this way. He took one to the head.‍♂️

A lot to choose from here, from the ball fields to the trails and the RC airplane strip. Hard to go wrong. Note: the trails connect to the black Mountain trails for climbing to a great 360 view west to the ocean, east to, well the east. The one big peak with antennas on top of it to the east is Mount Woodson, which should be on your list of other local peaks to hike. From the park parking lot you can head north west along The lusardi trails that'll take you deeper into Black mountain ranch and towards del Sur.

This is one of our favorite places to walk the dogs. Nice rolling hills give you a good hiking work out with plenty of range to rack up an easy 4 to 6 miles. The views are beautiful and right now the flowers are in full bloom. Park at the softball fields then walk north to the trail head and take off from there!

This is an attractive park with baseball and soccer fields but often not enough parking. It borders a unique open space park where there is access to hiking and you can see some native plants and wildlife. The trails are available for hikers, bicyclists, and equestrians. No shade on the trails.

Fun hike with lots to see and do. within a very short distance you can actually get to a point where you have a beautiful view looking all the way towards the ocean. The start of this hike is very close to the Black mountain park area.

Great trails to ride and everything was marked well so there was no way to get lost. Fast and rocky downhill so I wouldn’t recommend for beginners. Full suspension would be ideal but a sturdy hard tail with plus size tires will work.

Hit the trails for dawn patrol. Parked at this lot and worked our way around the hilltop for a long slow climb before dropping into miners loops and doing a few other detours. Miners loop is fun but I enjoyed Lilac a bit more.

Nice, wide grass areas...2 baseball diamonds/backstops. Decent amount of parking for all but the busiest of tournaments. Direct access to hiking trails. Overall, good, basic green space.
