When I was 18, 18 years old, I saw for the first time in my life, I saw a vision of clarity. I saw a comic strip, a three-panel comic strip that, though simple as it seemed, changed me, changed my being, changed who I am, made me who I am, enlightened me. The strip, Garfield, the comic strip was new, no more then maybe a month and a half since inception, since... since coming into existence, and there it was before me in print, I saw it, a comic strip. What was it called? Garfield. The story here is of a man, a plain man. He is Jon, but he is more than that. I will get to this later, but first, let us just say he is Jon, a plain man, and then there is a cat, Garfield. This is the nature of the world here. When I see the world, the...the politics, the future, the... satellites in space, and the people who put them there, you could look at everything as a man and a cat. Two beings, in harmony, and at war. So this strip I saw about this man, Jon, and the cat, Garfield, you see.... yes, hmm, it is about everything, this little comic is, oh... lo and behold not so little anymore. So yes, when I was 18, I saw this comic and it hit me all at once, its power, I clipped it and every day I looked at it and I said, okay, let me look at this here, what is this doing to me? Why is this so powerful? Jon Arbuckle, he sits here, legs crossed, comfortable in his home and he reads his newspaper.

This school is nothing but a cesspool of stuck-up rich kids tyring to prove they're so cool every day, by physically and mentally abusing fellow classmates and making the teacher's lives miserable. The teachers barely teach you anything and the level of education resembles that of a Year 3 classroom in middle school years. Not to mention the appauling statue that was placed a while ago. Also, the people at Blackfriars keep deleting bad reviews on their school because they're so sensitive about their "perfect image". All of the good reviews you see above or below this review is mostly written by teachers. If you are a parent that is even slightly considering sending your child to this expensive waste of a school, I would highly recommend reconsidering.

this school is evolving drastically. here they are taking it to the next level. there was a incident once where some student had the balls of steel to unload the most brownest most biggest most stinkiest dookie ever like it was world war 1 happening again but on the floor in the toilets. you can smell the dookie pile miles away. i can remember it very vividly in my mind it looked like mount everest. never back down never give up. that is what we need in this school a motivational quote to make these blackfriars students strive for better things.

Amazing school. Once I stepped foot inside the school property I ascended into the air as I knew instantly that this school was as heavenly as Jesus. Probably one of the best schools imo. My hair was glowing and I could walk on water as soon as I entered my home group, and the schools education system allowed me to open doors without contact and my telepathy skills had increased dramatically. I am a graduate at This school and I am currently stronger than Goku and my knowledge has surpassed Einstein.

Given it 5 for memories. I attended Blackfriars 1959 to 1962, Father Fitzgerald was the Principal but my favourite was Father Brown. The priest who taught French was an ogre. I traveled from Elizabeth South daily, if the train was late it meant meeting a priest at the gate with a cane and you got it on the back of your hand. Weird looking back, I just randomly went onto Google maps and looked up the college. Good luck to all you current day students. Nick Girvan

The school is quite depressing, theres only a few legendary teachers that include: Mr Francis, Mr Baldacino, Mr Wimshurst, Mr Winter (no longer there), Mr Packer (no longer there), Mrs Graziano, Mrs Ronoastro, Mr Vo and Mr Sage, other than them have a good time tryna learn because you wont get much there other than the fact you cant throw water balloons at eachother during a summer lunchtime or you're gonna get detention.

I was fitting a quick workout in the first stall of the toilet, on my last set of urinal-water-lick-squats. Someone picked up my super duper heavy 100 kg dumbbells. They then proceeded to kick down the door, anchor my super duper cool sexy body to toilet seat with my dumbbells and the proceeded to shove litres of soap down my throat. Fun until I farted bubbles, don’t go to the school.

School has overpriced food, TEEL paragraph for year 6, I could ramble on and on with how many buffoons are at the school as well, it's hard to do work because of it, the co-curricular sports are excellent but that doesn't add up for my education, school is definetly a two star rating, If you want your child to not be bullied or surrounded by uneducated idiots do not send them here.

Best school ever!, this school uses student ID cards to the toilets and lockers which is very good so that students won’t get accuse for anything and the school has a gym playground which is nice and fun to play with and I made lots of friends here teachers have the best quality of teaching canteen foods are good and I would recommend this place for your child.

Probably one of the worst private Adelaide high schools. While I was here, it was very difficult to learn and reach your full potential because most of the students are bullies, uneducated and had no interest into putting effort into their work. Would highly recommend to look at some other schools for a welcoming, positive learning environment.

Headed to the bathroom saw a group of dudes huddled in one stall playing in a CALL OF DUTY tournament, they then gave me a bottle of Mountain Dew which was actually leftover pee they took from their toilet gaming chair. 5/5 Amazing experience! - ...

Only school in Australia owned by the Dominican friars who have a 800 year old tradition in effective pedagogy. The four pillars are the foundation to human life. The school has a holistic approach to the formation of young boys not just as sportspeople or professions but as genuinely good human beings.

I know someone went to this school for a year, he was bullied everyday, and was surrounded by uneducated students who had no interest into putting effort into their work. Highly suggest taking a look at some other schools, for a more safe and encouraging learning environment.

I went into the toilets at 1:23 on a wensday after noon and a man dressed in all black skin touched me where the sun don’t shine and dragged me into a secret society of mutant ninja turtles. I enjoyed it, would recommend. Returning every wensday now for a supprise

I attended this school from 2016-2017. I was bullied quite a lot and had to go to therapy, for being a person who used to be larger in stature. Counselling there was okay. But if you want your child to have depression and sucial tendencies, take him here.

Blackfriars is possibly the WORST private school you can find in Adelaide. The people there are toxic, and no one can play any sport at all. I'm surprised that Whitefriars hasn't sued them for copyright yet, because Whitefriars was founded first.

  • Sarah Croatina

Such an amazing school! Great kids, Great priests, great people. The pigeons were annoying throughout my time here and made the school messy. This needs to be stopped as pigeons aren't that good :'( hope to come back one day, arrivedci :D

This school is again getting public attention after 9News Current Affair highlighted child abusers within its premises. Send your child to a public school, not here

I tried to enroll both my daughter to this school. However, they rejected her because of her gender. I’m questioning whether the school is sexist or not

  • Yaseer Haidery

The best school ever. I’ve been there for almost 10 years and the teachers are polite and the school has upgraded a lot since the past 2 years.
