Not a bad place to be borrowing books at. The library can feel quite small at times, but they've got a good amount of books. Entertainment is cake because they do have a Wii up in the youth area, and they do have some games you can borrow. They may have a scratch or two and so are the DVDs and CDs there. The search system is satisfactory, and the staff can help you out if needs must. Computer hire is not bad either, and so is the free wi-fi, both which you can only use if you have a membership or with a guest pass. Although the hold system may be a bit sluggish I would recommend you to go inside. Membership is free and you can sign up anywhere in Adelaide. Each library may give you a different card, but they all work in every South Australian library because of the one card system.

I have been a patron for many years now and I always appreciated how helpful staff are. For example: I am not a technological wizard...and don't know how to do stuff on line. Every time I call and ask for assistance (like extending borrowed items manually) - I am always supported well and nobody ever made me feel stupid for not knowing/liking on-line stuff... I really appreciate this and everyone is simply lovely and super helpful!!! Well done Blackwood Library, you created an amazing and very friendly place for the Hills residents to use and enjoy. Smaller than most libraries, but feels a lot friendly. Some are so big they feel cavernous. Blackwood Library feel homely. Not too loud that you can concentrate, but not so quiet you feel like you'll get shot if you breath loudly. A lot of people say it's outdated. But who cares honestly, it's lovely the way it is

Long live libraries! Nice friendly, helpful staff. For me it's a place I can find a quiet spot when I really don't want any distractions. There's a quiet space there but it's only little and you might want to call ahead to make sure it's not been booked by a bookclub or so.... they've got DVDs and CDs too.

Longtime user of the Blackwood Library and I have found the staff and service exemplary. Most of the books I read are online ordered via the excellent website and of course the wait time is dependent on availability from other libraries but rarely more than 2 weeks. Highly recommended.

I came looking for a quiet place to think & write. I found it. I had no interaction with staff or other patrons, 'though all seemed engaged, comfortable & content. I did not find power for my laptop. Fortunately the battery outlasted my stay.

Nice library with plenty of books, DVDs etc to choose from, especially when you include the Onecard network where you can borrow anything from any library in the state. Well and truly due for an upgrade which is hopefully coming soon

Day 1 of the 'new' library site. Hundreds of people here. It looks fantastic, friendly and complete with multipurpose areas. A must visit resource!

The library atmosphere is conducive to a pleasant reading experience. It provides ample power outlets for charging electronic devices.
