3 march 2022, with two kids and 6 months pregnant we arrived at this metro station. Excited to visit the Blijdorp Zoo but then the lift was out of order... Had to lift the baby stroller all the way up with two kids climbing 3 plights of stairs. No staff was around too. I guess the lift condition is unpredictable. Next time we visit Blijdorp zoo, I rather walk from Rotterdam central station which is not that far than going through the whole mess again..
They dug the deepest tunnel for this station and installed the slowest lift they could find. You'll miss your train because of it, it also breaks down a lot, so come ahead of time. They also spent on expensive panels displaying the history of the place but it's laid out so bad it does not add anything to the esthetics. They should have featured the zoo more bacause that's what this town is famous for anyway.

Metrostation Rotterdam Blijdorp is een net metrostation, dat centraal in de wijk Blijdorp ligt. Goed onderhouden, enkele basisvoorzieningen en een snelle route naar Rotterdam CS en Den Haag Centraal. Diergaarde Blijdorp ligt op 15 minuten lopen.
Als het buiten warm is !! Daal dan af met de roltrap naar beneden !! Want hier is het echt heerlijk cool. Check ook even de wind uit de tunnel buis net voor dat de metro er aankomt
Great underground architecture! Favorite metrostation as far as I've seen. If you like achitecture, I'd advice to go see it :)
Beautiful station but poor service. Pretty common to wait 10 min for the metro. Stairs frequently out of service.
Diep, net station. Ondanks de naam nog best een stuk lopen van de Diergaarde.
