"This is a great place to get offended by security"
"Security is a joke here! They let a homeless guy walk around the mall continuously"
"During my recent trip to Chicago, I parked at Block 37 parking garage and spent some time shopping in the mall"
"Really not worth the visit if you’re not there to invade Sephora, Magnolia Bakery, Akira, or the AMC"
"This is a sort of decent mall"
This is a great place to get offended by security. I mostly come here for two things, the restrooms and CTA’s terminals. The security teens whom they hired truly need to get off of their phones, and look at the world around them. (There are at least three good guards by the way.) At the base of the main staircase on the main floor, there is a fake charity flyer kid who’s handing out flyers for “Donations”, the teenaged security guard on the third floor who follows women into the restroom, stares at us while we are minding our own business, and tells us “Excuse me sir you are in the women’s restroom.” There were only WOMEN in the restroom! That kid almost got her feelings hurt. Also, the basement restrooms close PROMPTLY at 6:00pm, so if you are elderly and trying to keep your dignity in between trains, try the second floor restrooms. There is a reason why I don’t shop in this mall.
Security is a joke here! They let a homeless guy walk around the mall continuously. Out of nowhere he would harass a random person who didn’t do or say anything to him. And what was done? Nothing!!!! I get you open a certain time but to tell someone you can’t sit down at a table until it’s a certain time. But when it’s literally 2 min until that time? Complete joke and they are all rude and disrespectful! You can just as a simple question and they give you an attitude with their answer. Something needs to be done with personnel that does security here!!!
During my recent trip to Chicago, I parked at Block 37 parking garage and spent some time shopping in the mall. The mall itself was decent, but I encountered an issue when I lost my parking ticket. The garage had a sign stating that the charge would be the day's maximum, which I was fine with. However, to my surprise, they added an extra $25 in fees that were not clearly posted anywhere, and unfortunately, guest services were unavailable to assist with this matter. This was a disappointing experience.
Really not worth the visit if you’re not there to invade Sephora, Magnolia Bakery, Akira, or the AMC. It stands as a monument to how hard the pandemic hit State Street; a perpetual ghost town of skeleton thin store availability and choices; made worse by the peppering of permanently closed and shuttered storefronts on every floor.
This is a sort of decent mall. In a sense, it feels a little strange, like nearly abandoned. Nothing too great then, just another place to shop on State Street. New simulated golf in mall and gymnasium with climbing wall. Masks no longer needed. Have added further seating. Stores now have bars gates when closed. further security.
Went to AMC to watch movie, nice seats, bar, food. New ordering food kiosk, no employees. Food is delivered to seat. Still have to get alcohol at bar. More empty stores. New simulated golf in mall and gym with climbing wall. Masks no longer required. Have added more seating. Stores now have bars gates when closed. More security.
Block 37 is a massive complex located in the Chicago Loop area. It’s a full square block and has a large variety of stores and restaurants. There is also a “dine-in” movie theater within the building and a great cafeteria called Latinicity, which has many different Latin-inspired options to choose from.
Stopped in Simply Thalia and was disappointed. Ordered an apple martini, salmon love maki and miso soup. The tofu was too large in the miso, the Apple martini never came and there was straight hair in my making roll. After I saw the hair I paid for the miso and left disgusted. No thank you
This is a pretty decent mall. In a sense, it feels a little strange, like almost abandoned. Nothing too great here, just another place to shop on State Street. The biggest convenience comes when you're trying to go inside to stay away from extreme heat or cold weather.
A nice but standard shopping mall. It connects to the metro, which is convenient. It was clean but hard to find a directory and navigate initially. Had to walk around to find the directory, which was not next to a map, then had to find the map, next to the elevators.
Really nice mall in the heart of downtown. Sleek interior architecture. Although it never seems to be very busy here. Lots of empty space. There's also a state of the art multiplex movie theater on the top floor with a lounge. Great for a night out in the town.
We kinda wound up n this building by accident we were look'n 4 a bar type place 2 grab a bite 4 lunch while downtown Chicago still a very interesting stores all throughout the levels. Can't say much more other than it's jus basically Department style shopping.
We participated in the Walking Clue Mystery in the loop which started in Block 37. It was handled very well and planned out very thoroughly. We had a great time, but we did not figure out the answer until the Butler helped us reanalyze our answers.. …
Very nice and clean theatre! Food arrived on time, hot and delicious. Staff was very nice and friendly. Mario attended us and he made sure my family and I were well taken care of, very attentive. He made our first time at that theatre a great experience!
I was soo lost ♀️ I tried asking for help , everyone knew what was going on and just laughed when I asked for directions. I stood out front fortunately some woman was kind enough to help me . Im not mad but after such an experience and
Expected the screen to be a bit bigger. I would recommend sitting in the middle rather than the back. I like the smaller audience capacity and more intimate setting. Comfy seats to put your feet up and lean back in the reclining chairs
The Clue experience was super fun for our family of four - two adults, a college student and a high schooler. We enjoyed walking around downtown Chicago looking for clues and stopping to snack and drink. Butler team was great!
Centrally located mall, with direct access to the train. There's a variety of boutiques and shops like Zara. They also have a few eateries. It is walking distance to millennium Park and the famous bean sculpture (cloud gate).
Starbucks is too pricey for a grande, that I can get cheaper somewhere else. And the restaurants prices are too high for less food. I miss Auntie Anne's Pretzels. That was my go to stop between the Red and Blue lines.
I went to the AMC there and it was a great experience. The drink from the bar was amazing! Comfortable chairs, it's really cool that the food is brought to your seat and just a really good time at the movies.
This is a mall that has my favorite bakery (Magnolia Bakery) in downtown Chicago. I have to call and make sure they have my German Chocolate slices when I am in the area. This is one of the best!
This is a great place for shopping and meetings. The Board of Election had our training class here and it was so nice. The bathrooms were sanitized. I also found a flower shop that sells Pathos.
Ok mall. A few decent shops but not much. Only useful for CTA access. Be careful though! After 8:30pm the janitor might close off the escalator to mop it. and then you miss your train. …
If you're going for a specific store it's a great place. Very neat and clean with plenty of security. I wouldn't go there to aimlessley shop because there is not an abundance of stores.
I like it because you can go to see a movie and you can go shopping all in one place. For me, I really like it because it's right there on the bus stop when you come out of Block 37.
I did not even know this huge shopping area existed. It's so nice! We walked around and stopped at Starbucks and had a coffee. Right near the Blue and Red line. A second away!
My favorite shop is the plant shop. The Potting Bench. I have bought several plants from them, good healthy bugless plants and the staff is very helpful answering questions.
Stepped in to get out of the heat, and was so surprised to find suck a cool shopping mall with quite of few local and popular retailers. Worth the visit whe in town.
It's nice but everything is super expensive. Also, there's not a ton of stores or variety. I think they're mostly a tiny shopping plaza that connects the pedway.
Nice mall in the heart of Chicago downtown. There are places where you can shop, have coffee, grab some food, seating areas and spend some time window shopping.
The Clue experience was a lot of fun and a great way to see the city! We went on a cold and rainy day and the"butlers" we're still energetic and enthusiastic!
Large number of shops to past time while waiting to attend a show, gathering, or a meeting in the area nice shops and intimate area to sit while waiting
Great mall with a very good selection of stores. On one of the main thoroughfares in Chicago. Lots of other shopping all around. Great place to go.
Great location in the heart of the city by all the theaters. It has great shops like Anthropologie, Zara, and a Latin food hall called Latinicity.
Absolutely awful Do you actually call this a mall??? There were 5 stores and loads of empty ones. It's an absolute waste of time …
Not a lot of stuff here. AMC is nice. But, they always keep lights on since it's a DINE-IN. Not a great movie watching experience for me.
Great experience! My family and I had a lot of fun working together to solve the mystery. Definitely recommend to anyone interested.
Fun, interactive game and great way to see some new places downtown. Hope they come out with another version - we would do it again!
Hadn't been in about a year. A lot has changed. Nothing super exciting unless you need to shop for clothes and sun glasses.
I love this place. Always come here to see a movie. Great theater. Great mall for stores like Zara, Akira, and Sephora.
What a great time! We got to see some amazing places and solve a mystery at the same time. Wear your walking shoes!
Could use more stores... pretty empty in there but I can only imagine how expensive it would be to set up there.
The store selection is alright. The mall is pretty dead but I only go there for the AMC which is really good.
We went to see the Michael Jackson musical and it was amazing! Clean and a good view no matter where you sit.
They have some great stores at some good prices. I took my daughter there for her birthday and she loved it.
Love the food choices. Maybe add more dessert but I like it. Its always clean and they have friendly staff
fun way to see the city. The puzzles were pretty tough but clever. It took us about 3 hours to complete.
Wonderful cakes and other treats. Yummy coffee. Friendly staff. Nice place to sit and enjoy your treats.
Very fun experience! It has great activities and puzzles, and a really wonderful team of butlers!
Very interesting multi-storied mall. Nothing to crazy or too exciting. Needs a bookstore tho.
Fair amount of shops, mostly high-end, in a vertical mall with an AMC theater at the top.
This is a neat little Mall that has everything you could need for a relaxing day out.
It was OK mall, I only went into Zara and sephora when I visited the place
It was a great shopping experience. I will surely visit this mall again.
Great place to shop lots of clothes stores, restaurants and a movies.
Decent shops, reasonable parking, and the best AMC dine-in theatre!
Lots to see and do within this area of the city. Great shopping!
Nice hang out ,magnolia bakery bannapudding worth a visit alone!
So many things under one world at the heart of downtown Chicago.
Fun family experience especially if you like solving puzzles.
Mall was nice but didn't have the stores I would shop at
Incredible stores, very clean, very nice atmosphere!
Good to waste time but a lot of stores have closed.
Love first ascent. Best gym out there, no debate.
Lots of shops. Easy access and adequate security.
Fabulous place to shop and check out a movie.
