Overly priced and did not inform the cost before proceeding the check ups. The doctor took everything she needed but not what I asked then charged me extras that cost $$$. The receptionist should have shown the invoice before he hands over the card machine. I would have complained about the wrong charge on the spot if I could check my invoice first. I feel like I wasted my money and decided to choose another dentist. **updated a few weeks later I had to get a couple of treatments here after since I could not spend money for the same type of checkup. But today, the receptionist Greg was almost ambushed me in the doctor's room and accused why I left this review. I was offended by the way he did it because I was little out of it right after my tooth treatment and I was still sitting on the surgical chair and was feeling numb. He said he wanted to make sure I still feel the same but he did not even apologize to me and it's too soon to ask such a thing at that point. I only made one more visit after that. He was not even friendly when made an appointment for the next visit. I don't need to hear 'We are very busy', when I try to book a next visit. We all busy, friend. He should've been more professional whatever he intended to resolve. So I am not going to take this down.

Hi everyone; former employee Greg who used to (almost) run the front! First off I miss you all and this office. I wanted to say what a great office this is, had my life not changed to such a degree and me moving further away I'd still be there 100%. This office is without question amazing. The staff honestly care about what they do and about the people who visit. Dr. Wat is a fantastic dentist with a very critical eye, her cosmetic/restoration work is without question some of the best in the city (probably even province). The hygienists are fantastic, the whole staff (even though some of them keep having babies so we had to get some fill ins!) are amazing too. Livia and Josey are some of the hardest workers I've ever met, Alison is as well and one of the kindest people with a gentle touch. If you are looking for a dental office that takes care of you, this is it! And to Minnie who left that review about me ambushing her, well, I'm sorry. There is a lot more to the story than you elected to provide but that is ok. You didn't like me and I'm good with that, but the doctors took good care of you and that's what matters!

Today was my first visit at the Bloor West Dentistry and I LOVED IT ! I don’t know , how many people can say that about going to the dentist , but for me it was an amazing experience. From friendly reception ladies , sweet and gentle but very thorough hygenist to the doctor herself . Doctor Lisa Wat took her time to explain everything to me , she took extra pictures to make sure there isn’t anything left unseen and we discuss cons and pros for my future procedure. Performing my examination she was also very thorough and gentle. I felt I was in the best hands of knowledgeable professionals . The office is new , sparkling clean, equipped with state of the art machines and instruments . Each room has an air purifier. I am recommending this place % . I know , I have found my dentist for life !

I have been coming here for about a year and a half now and I can honestly say I would recommend them. All of the staff here are really kind, well informed, provide detailed explanations, professional and are open to answering any questions. The hygienists (I've seen most of them) and doctors (the only doctor i can speak for is dr. Wat as she is the only one I've seen) are extremely thorough and were very helpful for any issues I was experiencing (gingivitis, mouth guards for grinding my teeth and sensitive teeth due to receding gums). They also take care of contacting the insurance companies for you so you don't need to worry about it. I don't really have any complaints thus my rating. I recommend this place at least for anyone that is suspecting the issues I was experiencing

The space was organized, hygienic, and equipment was modern. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very accommodating. Great view of High Park and downtown Toronto from the chairs. Overall a positive experience and I will return. I am a new client. I hadn't visited a dentist or had a cleaning in a long time and I felt very cared for in my visit by everyone in this office. The hygienist and the dentist took the time to do the work required from my long break away and both offered a knowledgeable report on my dental status with suggestions going forward. The front desk communicated how this extra work would be covered by my insurance before surprising me with a higher bill at the end and went above and beyond making the dental work necessary accessible. Highly recommend.

Most people have that "fear" of going to the dentist. I know I did, but since becoming a client I actually look forward to my cleanings. The hygienists are all super friendly and sweet. They always make you feel at home, despite being all up in your mouth lol. The receptionist and Dentists are equally as friendly. You just feel like your visiting friends who happen to offer a necessary service. They do everything to make you comfortable and reduce anxiety. I've been with them since the old office across the street and the level of service has never changed. Yes they are super friendly, but they are also equally as organized and efficient. You never have to wait past your appointment time to be seen. They mastered the art of friendly and professional.

Thanks to Dr. Wat and her team for the amazing experience I had with getting Invisalign braces. I had been debating getting braces for some time as I only had mild crowding among my bottom teeth and didn't want to put up with the hassle of traditional metal braces. The results far exceeded my expectations (perfectly straight teeth!) and were achieved in only six months. I particularly valued the "pointers" from Dr. Wat's staff-- in particular, her wonderful Office Manager, who himself was undergoing Invisalign treatment. More so than any other dentist office I have gone to, Dr. Wat’s team at Bloor West Dentistry manages to make having to go to the dentist an actual enjoyable experience!

Dr Lisa Wat and her team including hygienist Andra are top notch in their practice and regard for patients is high. I received personalized attention and all safety protocols were followed in the newly renovated modern office & clinic space. Dr Wat has been my family’s dentist since 2002. My husband, daughter, and parents have all been patients for services that range from cleaning, check up, fillings, abscess draining, crowns, and mouth guards. All the staff here are awesome - Greg at the front desk seems to remember everything about everyone (in a good way) and always asks kindly about your family/vacation etc. Plus the appointment reminders are super helpful. The visits are efficient, quick and painless. The location is also right across the street from the Jane subway station so it's very conveniently located. Insurance/payment has never been an issue for me (I've been a patient for 5 years) and the procedures are processed right after each appointment with both mine and my husband's insurance plans. Great dentistry overall!

As a senior, I’ve entrusted Bloor West to handle my dentistry needs for years. Their staff members are intelligent, articulate, and conduct themselves in the most professional manner possible. Dr. Wat herself is always willing to engage her patients in all the detail related to the options available if I need special attention. In short, I genuinely feel she has my best interest at heart and not simply her own. In my neighborhood, the only thing that exceeds the number of coffee shops is dentists’ offices, and in that manner, you can’t do better than Bloor West Dentistry.

Best dental experience ever! Had a cap pop off late on a Thursday evening and although they were busy they took me without hesitation. Professional from the desk to the dentist. Dr. Pham and her associate had me assessed, cleaned up, patched up and out the door in no time. Talked me through and showed me the work then discussed next steps. They did a lot of work and to my surprise the bill was very reasonable. Going back for a cleaning. The folks at Bloor West Dentistry are very gracious. You will be very pleased.

By far the best dentist I’ve ever gone to! I called them in the morning for a dental emergency and they saw me that very same day! They swiftly got my xrays from my old dentist before I came in. When I came in later that day the receptionist was so welcoming and nice. The dentist was amazing as well made me feel very comfortable and found a solution to my problem. The dentist was genuine, honest and empathetic, not pushy like other places I’ve been! Can’t recommend them enough!

Everyone at BWD is amazing! Greg always remembers every detail about everyone which is super impressive. He's always great with sending estimates, follow ups and really making sure things work every time I go in. Dr Wat and everyone I've ever dealt with at the office in the past 13 years have been nothing short of amazing. Now I take my kiddos there and my son loves them so much he tries to convince me he needs to go see Dr Wat alll the time.

We moved our services from downtown Toronto having just moved into the area. We LOVE it here. They do family appointments at convenient times getting our family of 4 done in less than an hour. Greg is fantastic to deal with as well. I enjoy that they are flexible and reachable with email. I especially love that they take care of all the paperwork on BOTH work plans. Dr. Wat saw me on very short notice one day when I had an unbearable toothache and my own dentist could not fit me in. I have been a regular patient ever since. I’m a nervous wreck in the dentist chair but Dr. Wat is super gentle and helps me feel at ease. The rest of the support staff is great as well. I feel lucky to have found such a great dentist within walking distance from home.

Lisa Wat and her team are very caring and professional and a offer dental services at a great price. I don't have dental insurance so this is a big selling point for me. Its a cozy office and the rooms where you lie down have a nice view out the window as well as a nice picture of blue skies on the ceiling.
