We booked for 3 for a Saturday dinner. Ordered the $59/pp option which included 6 courses PLUS desserts! Everything was seriously so yummy: 1. Sticky brown rice & shiitake (asked for vegetarian option) ⭐️ 2. Green beans, garlic, shredded egg yolk 3. 3 bao(s): braised pork belly, crumbed tofu, and katsu chicken ⭐️ 4. Chilli beef salad, snow pea sprouts, coriander ⭐️ 5. Taiwanese fried chicken, blood orange sauce ⭐️ 6. San choy bow Desserts: affogato and lemon tarts ⭐️ We also ordered matcha latte for drinks.⭐️ The dishes came in three waves: the first half listed above, the second half, and then desserts (after we had some rest). It was a rainy night so the place was not too busy. Food came really quickly. We were slightly full by the first wave but still managed to eat almost everything at the end because everything was delicious. To be honest, I was a bit worried before we came, as a Taiwanese myself I was hesitant about the boujee look of street food classics. I was proved otherwise as I definitely felt the love and effort put into the curation of their food :) The staff were so friendly and attentive! They checked in on our dining pace and satisfaction, never rushed us, and were so sweet when we asked them to take photos for us We loved the overall ambience, super cute interior and cutlery style. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended ~包庇包庇包庇ㄛ~

Lunch at the recently opened @bobibao_au (Lex and friends went without me because I was working ). Good food but the food took a little while to come out. Maybe they were still working out some teething issues since they've just opened. Will return to try again in the future! . Fried chicken with waffles: really nicely presented in a way that's more than just 'chicken and waffles' . Delicious fried chicken, and the waffles were good too. Can't complain! . Shallot pancakes with vegetable floss and extra taiwanese sausage: the pancake was excellent! And it's interesting that the vegetable floss was similar to pork floss . Very creative! . Taro sando with soy dabao (crispy mock meat): don't think we've ever had soy dabao before, but it tasted great! The taro sando was also excellent . . Mushroom with edamame hummus, with extra soy dabao: such a healthy dish that is full of yummy ingredients and flavours . . Drinks: - Wintermelon latte: not sure if it really tasted like wintermelon, but it was novel and interesting! - Taro latte

I recently discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant, and I have to say, the food is absolutely amazing! I would give it a solid 5-star rating without hesitation. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the baos, which were incredibly fluffy and packed with flavor. The cocktails were also very impressive, each with its own unique taste that we really enjoyed. The grilled flank steaks were cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor that was truly unforgettable. The salt n pepper squid was equally as tasty, cooked just right with the perfect amount of seasoning. And the satay corn ribs were a hit with the whole group and great for sharing. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, and the food was definitely the highlight of our experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service that made us feel welcome. If you're on the lookout for a great restaurant with delicious and top-quality modern Taiwanese cusine, then this is definitely the spot for you. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back for the amazing food alone!

Everything is so wonderful. Recommend everybody to have a try. We had “feed me” as we will let the chefs make their magic . Corn ribs is a inspiring entry, surely open up your appetite. And comes my personal favourite of the night, the pork belly bao. No gonna spoiled anything about the taste as everyone deserves their own first experience. Both the chicken wing and cabbage are very well cooked, everything about their taste are pitch perfect . Taiwanese fried chicken is very special, nothing like other fried chicken I had before. My friend love the beef especially when they mixed with the house created mustard sauce. Well, I am just simply love it’s presentation. The desserts are everyone’s must have again, as the taste of sesame ice cream is still lingering. Zesty trip. Well worth the adventure.

A modern Taiwanese dining experience. Quite a popular place. Most of the dishes were flavoursome. Just wasn't too sure if the chicken wings were meant to be as burnt as the photo. Also wasn't expecting the shallot pancakes to be a roti paratha with spring onion in them. The sauces that accompanied the dishes were different but seemed to taste good together. Taro hash was crunchy and chewy texture. Not bad. Steak was smokey flavour with full flavoured butter sauce. Bao and braised pork were tasty. Wanted to try their home made bubble tea but sold out. Some interesting coffee latte flavours which I would like to try if I return. Just need to have a mindset it's modern Taiwanese to enjoy the different combination of flavours.

Delicious menu and a great addition to Bowden. Breakfast has the tendency sometimes to be focused on the classics. I think the strength of the establishment is that it takes classics and elevates them, with an Asian infusion for good measure. The uniqueness of the food combined with taste makes this place a must try The reason for this place not getting the 5 stars was primarily the service. Wait time was long, menu knowledge was lacking at points and general organisation could’ve been better. The service was far from terrible - the staff themselves were very friendly - however it stands in contrast to the food which was amazing Maybe it was just the day? Either way, I’ll definitely be back

***Amended to 5 stars*** First visited during the Easter break where there was a bit of a delay with food due to understaffing. On regular days though on subsequent visits, very efficient service! Found my favourite place for the bowden area. A nice surprise place that suits the Bowden neighbourhood. It is very popular and filled out by lunchtime. The baos were very soft with crispy katsu chicken. The steak was average and not very tender. Would recommend sticking with the baos and also the fries with truffle mayo. Highly recommended for the food and will visit regularly! Pictured: pork bao, katsu chicken bao, grilled flank steak (200g), braised pork + steamed fried rice + gin marinated yolk

Attended Bobibao’s Night Market Banquet yesterday night as the last day of financial year. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very comfortable and warm, and everyone shares the joy of the moment. Every staffs, whatever in the front or kitchen room, were all doing their best to provide various services and assistance, and there are also provided small games and small gifts for an active atmosphere while waiting for meals in the middle. The food is also top-notch. It combines various food flavors of Taiwan. It is a unique experience to mix texture and taste. Absolutely recommended and I will definitely have a meal again in future.

The drink is good. Recommend the Taro bubble tea and the Gin oolong tea. But the food I have to say not for me, as a Taiwanese. Taipei beef noodle soup is so unfamiliar to a Taipei person. But if u name it as a tomato noodle soup then it good. The braised pork is very sweet and the rice not soft enough. I would rather cook by myself especially after compare to the price. I came here to recall my hometown dishes but then I just wondered that is it Taiwanese food? Or am I come from Taiwan. So many questions.

The vibe is great here and staff are very friendly. We ordered chicken waffle, breakfast bao, Taro sandwich, shallot pancake, BBQ bao and vegetables bao. The BBQ bao is a bit spicy with the soy sauce and a little sweetness, which I like it very much. The citus sauce is nice with the chicken waffle and making sure you dip with it. Taro sandwich has the salty egg yolk; with the sweetness of Taro, it makes the harmony taste. Shallot pancake also has some veggies within. Dipping with the garlic soy sauce is the best. Breakfast bao for Taiwanese people may taste like the burgers, it is still nice with the taste.

A very comfy and intimate space with an original concept of Taiwanese cuisine made with local food. Perfect to share a personal experience with your partner with a unique cuisine that you cannot find anywhere else. The staff are nice and welcoming, they take care of all your needs and requests.

We just had lunch here with friends and it was SO GOOD!! Pork belly boa is huge and everything good!!! The shallot pancakes are flakey and had great flavour. We also loved the green beans and corn diahes. Finally we also had the pineapple prawn boat. A crazy blend of huge fried prawns, super sweet pineapple plus mayo and spinkles (yep colour candy sprinkles) and it works! Drizzle everything with their home made chili oil. Divine. Aperol spritz were yum as well.

Randomly picked this restaurant to have dinner at. The dish I chose was spicy beef salad whose beef was extremely tender and soft. The flavour was amazing and tasty. The staff are friendly. Service is good. And the atmosphere is cozy. I will definitely be back and try other dishes with my friends.

I ordered a takeaway braised pork belly dish. All I have is 90% rice with tiny sparkles of pork decorated. And the raw egg is so fishy it ruined the whole dish. Not recommended for takeaway a total rip off as you can see in the picture! Very disappointed! Reply the owner- that’s exactly the food I received as the photo showed. I haven’t even ate anything yet! All I did is to let people see how much rice were there! I can take a photo of the takeaway box with your stamped business name on it!

If you're looking for a taste of Taiwan, Bobibao is the perfect brunch spot. The Braised Pork rice has a mild taste, not too fatty and paired perfectly with the fluffy rice. Just hoping they added more meat (pork). The Katsu Chicken Bao and the Peanut Noodle Salad were the winner for me. The bao was light and fluffy and crispy chicken. The noodle salad was so refreshing and the peanut sauce was flavourful!

Love the decor, really cute place with great food and service. Went here for a brunch/early lunch and was really impressed. Much easier to find a table and order food here than it is at the nearby Plant 4. Had the fried chicken bao. The bao is a bigger size than I’ve had before and really filling. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Will be back again for dinner to try more of the menu.

Quality of the food was fantastic. Coffee was great. The service and organisation is the main thing holding this place back is the service. There was too much of a delay between our meals, the chicken waffle was forgotten and came very late. The cafe was pretty quiet when we ordered our drinks and it still took longer than necessary for them to arrive.

If it were possible I'd dine here 365 days of the year, I'd be down I especially love the new lunch menu and the spectacular Oat Latte's. Inspriting well priced menu. I bring my dog everytime and am offered a doggie treat without fail. I love that the managers come and say hi and ask for feedback. I love this place.... we've become gastronomic besties
