They have a female manager with tattoos who I unfortunately had to deal with, and I’ve never met such a disgusting rotten human in my life. This one star is purely for the awful experience she put me and my sister through. Here’s the story: I left my glasses there and the owner (who I have no complaints about) kindly let me know they were there, and when I went to fetch them this awful lady wasn’t even at the bar and I had to wait like 5min for anyone to appear. She said ‘they’re not here’ in a mean tone after looking for 2 seconds. Then she just pretend like I wasn’t even there until I pressed the issue further. She went on implying that it’s my fault because I didn’t fetch them sooner. So the glasses were just gone and I left. I then contacted the owner saying I’d give a reward to whoever can find them. When my sister went to fetch them, the same foul woman was there and demanded ‘payment’ before she could collect the glasses. This was a gratuity for the person who found it, not an effing payment! I apologise to any human who has to deal with this woman who clearly hates life. As for the owner and the rest of the staff I’m happy with them but they really should find a new manager.

I am usually not someone that complains about food because I am gratefull that I do have. However, tonight was my first time ordering from Bok Lounge. Disappointed is not the word to describe my order which was delivered by Mr. Delivery. R199 for Ribs, Chips and Onion rings, which by the way had burnt pieces inand was dry. I ordered a Pizza of R110, which I did not even receive. My daughter had to eat a sandwich as her food the pizza was not delivered. My question is, who verifies the order that leaves the Pub is actually correct. If this was the service I received as a first time customer, I will never recommend this place to anyone. Very dissatisfied previous customer.

I ordered my x2 Pizza's a Double Bacon and a Jalapeño Pizza andx a bacon and cheese burger. I spent R309. 00 on my order. My friend ordered 'n minute before me and got his pizza's 20 minutes earlier than me. I waited almost an hour for my food. When I got my pizza's it was cold. The staff is also extremely rude. I wanted them to follow-up on my order and I was told you have to wait for the light to go on. So what it means is your order will be ready when it's ready. The service is non exsistant and I will not be going back there ever again. I was refferred to Bok lounge by a friend and first impressions always last the service is shockingly appaling.

Service from blond girl VERY bad. Asked for vodca passion fruit and lemonade received passion fruit and lemonade. Asked for an ashtray still did not have one when we left. Also brang incorrect order then asked me if I don't want to have what she gave me.i said no as that is not what I ordered. My man ate alone and I finally received my food after he was done eating. She also never came to ask if we wanted more to drink I had to go to the bar myself. She can be lucky we left her a tip. Chicken schnitzel excellent.

Completely Dissapointed Saw your fb page a week ago literally promoted you to all my friend eventually took my boyfriend out for lunch Sunday 27 February 2022. We sat at a table for over 15 mins. No menu was offered. No one came forward and explained to us where do we order as there was no visible waiters. We were told to sit anywhere and that was it. We eventually left without eating or even having a drink. I am extremely dissapointed and astonished by your lack of service. I regret promoting you to all my friends and family. Your food can look how great but if you lack customer service you not going to last very long.

I went there today 19 December 2023 because I have organized a year end drink session with the guys(13 of them). I was early so i popped in to enjoy a beer before everybody arrived. 4 bar girls behind the bar but none of them willing to ask me if I want a drink. It is us older people that make the books click. You can even check your cameras from 17h00 to 17h10.Person on the far right at the bar right by the beer taps. We sit at Bossa Brackenfell now (18h57) and the bill so far is R5186. The night is still long. Won't EVER go back.This place evolved into a dive.

Bok Lounge has good food and a good atmosphere. Their drinks are reasonably priced. They also have goods specials on both food and drinks. Great place to chill with friends or family and unwind... if you in a dancing mood, there is a dancefloor. Patrons and staff are friendly. Enjoy vsiting Bok Lounge.

Good food .vibe good...but my last visit was just sad , I had high hopes but then the racial tension could just be felt from bar service to my food just given to me without cutlery nothing whereas the staff that seen to me in the week was awesome .....racial conversation all around me sad sad guys....but hey I guess it's brackenfell for you....so my recommendation is that if you of colour don't expect exceptional service, and b open to be feeling like an outsider from service to most people hanging out there, however bar lady tht served me in the week all props to you...

Rudolf was disrespectful to the patrons. I was fairly new to the place and his attitude and behaviour was appaling and unprofessional and unacceptable. I understand he wanted to leave, at pass 2am but my experience was an extremely bad one. It was shocking. I have heard numerous complaints, regarding his attitude. I like the place, the vibe, the people that were there and the Ladies that work there, amazing. The food, divine. I live nearby and I would like to go more often but that Rudolf character, is completely unapproachable. Thank you

Ordered food once and it was the best we have had...we ordered crunch chicken burger today again, my wives chicken patty looks like it has been eaten half, the lettuce is brown and old, 4 very small pieces of feta. My burger had only one piece of feta, looks like a half eaten chicken burger, brown old lettuce. We asked today to leave the onion and give more chips, previously they did but now we only received not even a handfull of chip. So expensive and the quality has declined. Rather order from someplace else next time

i LOVE this place! Lekker mense en n foken lekker brannewyn. Im a big supporter of the Bok Lounge in Brackenfell & I love the work you guys do. I would like to point out however that the bouncers employed are abusive and disrespectful I love the food you guys do and the awesome prices but I'd like to feel safe when I come through and so far It's been nothing but crazy, Also big up to Rudolf! Amazing manager and overall the reason I always come back. Please sort it out <3

This is a fantastically unpretentious bar and dancing area with some kind of affiliation with Bok Radio - very Afrikaans. We went on a Thursday and it was their karaoke night. They also have an amazing burger special (probably the cheapest in Cape Town!) for R30.00 (May 2019). With the burger comes onion rings and a reasonable portion of chips. The drinks are also reasonably priced. We had a fantastic time. Great place to drink and socialise with friends.

Went there for tge URC Rugby final and I was super disappointed. The big screen quality was so bad you could hardly see. During halftime they played music from YouTube on the screen, but never changed back when the rugby started again. We had to ask. We order food which took forever and when it eventually arrived it came in drips and drabs. And the food was cold. Soooo disappointed that I will never go there again. Sorry

Had a good time, purely because the crowd was entertaining..but the music was absolutely terrible... no DJ, just the manager playing music off his phone. And then there was the very creepy dude, on the dance floor, with a mullet, staring down every single woman. Not dancing ... but just staring at woman. Extremely creepy, made me feel uncomfortable. I would definitely suggest a DJ, that should jack things up a bit!!!

Been here couple of times, about 5x. Hamburger specials are good. Last experience brought a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. Booked a table for 6, but when we got there, the tables were pushed in a corner, due to the staff's more favourite persons (I guess). Even after my complaints to the staff, nothing was done, staff was ignorant about it.To my opinion, nice place to hang out IF you are a regular.

Worst ever. Waited 1,5hrs for four chicken schnitzels. Only 2 tables. Chicken dry, chips cold and tasteless, onion rings too crispy and no taste. Cheese and mushroom sauce nice. Tomato sauce bottle empty. Bad service. Two pieces of copper wire in wife's schnitzel. Showed the barman who just said he's never seen that before. Well, you will never see me again. Chef should be fired.

I'm sure it's great for what it's meant for, but don't expect to go there for a quick meal on a Saturday, despite their quite varied menu and good prices. We got there when they opened at 11, ordered almost immediately but waited almost 2 hours for food. When it arrived, it was really good - but cold. Even the coffees took half an hour... Rather go for drinks and the vibe.

very dissapointed. has schnitzels x2 for take away delivered to us and the spices are overwelming. very salty like when u added too much salt to your food and couldnt eat much. plus we bought 1 can of cream soda expecting it to be atleast a 2l if we paid R24 for it only to find out it was a 300ml.... we wont support their grill part of this place Ever Again. NOT worth it.

Ordered food from them. Inconsistent portion size and sloppy, messy spilled rubbish upon delivery. Food packets laid on it's side and everything was a soggy mess. No nachos on one burger and a pittyfull bit of onion rings with the other burger. One burger had rubber like mushrooms on. Not the second nor third time this happened. Not supporting them again.

Was there with some of my friends on Sunday. Manager I guess told everyone they must go at just after 21:00. People who still had drink left told to take it with them. One guy got upset don't blame him. This is very bad for business as not one of my friends were told they closing early.

I very nice place, however, the dance floor is almost bigger than the bar section. Felt a bit crowded not a lot of space to move around. Beyond that, nice services, secure parking in a nice area. Music was good, service was great and even fairly priced with their drinks. Even got invited to karaoke... Worth a visit...

For the price you pay, it is definitely worth it! Their food is delicious and if you love onion rings like I do, you should give them a try. Super thin and packed full of flavour. From a VERY SATISFIED customer, I will highly recommend Bok Lounge. Wanted to post photos, but too late as I had to dive in :)

Good cocktails, nice atmosphere. The bartenders were pretty friendly. Decent but odd choice of music and decent pizza. Would be nice if they just extended the smoking section to the whole building as it seems everyone just gather in the smoking section anyway leaving the dance floor and its seating empty.

Karaoke nights are fun and I like the sokkie music in between. They saw us sokking to one song and they immediately turned the music up for us and proceeded to play more sokkie music, was super sweet. However the food does take awhile to arrive but it was delicious when it did

We ordered the 1kg Snitzel on Saturday night and the chicken and larger chips were great, jyst a bit salty. Tonight we bought two x 1kg chicken snitzels, it were overcooked and the chips were reheated, very hard. Next time we will eat at the lounge and send it back

They apparently don't allow under 21 on the premises yet 2 of the people who came out right before me are both 18 and when I told the guy at the door that he started getting rude and racist 100% won't recommend this place ever

Always a really good time. We never have any trouble, the bar staff is fast and at times very entertaining. Karaoke 3 times a week with 2 different DJs so a person can choose their flavour of sound. We travel about 40km to Bok Lounge and it's worth it every time.

What a great experience every time! The only place a always make a point of visiting when I am in Cape Town. Naomi is on it! Directing the staff, manning the bar and even cleaning our table. Pizza was great and the atmosphere amazing. Even for a Tuesday evening.

Well i was on this hype of bok lounge and the name sounds so cool when we got there itwas more like a pub and a small one too they have so much space for improvement like putting out nice couches etc givving it a more lounge feeling like the name says bok LOUNGE

I really wanted to support our local places. I ordered from them for the first time and i am disgusted with Food. My burger bun is old and moldy the cheese is sooo old and my chicken wings taste like it was made 3 months ago. i will never order from them again.

With their posts always popping up on Facebook I had to try their ribs and let me tell you it was delicious, the chilli poppers was spicy and cheesy and the wings were good and oh the draft was cold just the way I like it

I came hear to have a drink and something to eat after work only to be ignored by the bar staff. No tempreture was even taken by the door and this is also very concerning as they are not following the correct protocol.

Its ok here, not great. Music gets very loud after a while. People are friendly and drinks are served quickly compared to other places, but overall experience is average.

The pizza is really nice, kitchen stays open late 11pm if im not mistaken. Great atmosphere and nice music for the local afrikaner also karaoke nights during the week.

Good local pub you can go and enjoy with friends. Great drink specials and great selection of food on the menu. Also a great place to enjoy karaoke on certain nights.

Kristina the bar lady always makes us feel welcome, her customer service is on point and she is very attentive
