PROs: I absolutely LOVE my primary care provider for referring me to BOWDEN EYE & ASSOCIATES for relief with my sudden eye problem. All of my interactions with the following members of the Staff were professionally OUTSTANDING! Appointment scheduling phone call by CASSIDY. Appointment check-in process with HALEY. Reading my glasses’ prescription by HOPE. Diagnostic eye tests by TIFFANY. More importantly, the expert diagnosis, lay-person explanation, immediate corrective procedure, at-home treatment plan in preparation for future corrective procedure rendered by the board certified and multi-talented DR. SARAH DARBANDI made me soooooooo HAPPY!! I left her office pain-free, educated about my condition, optimistic about the prognosis, and equipped with products to help me comfortably care for my eyes at home until my follow-up appointment. I also appreciated that my appointment was not rushed! Ample time was allocated as necessary. THANK YOU, DR. SARAH DARBANDI and Staff!!! CONs: There is one issue I experienced AFTER purchasing products recommended in my EYE TREATMENT PLAN. I found that my eyelid, lash and surrounding skin are extremely sensitive to the Oasis LID & LASH SCRUB + TEA TREE OIL Immediately upon applying the cleansing pads as directed, a stinging sensation occurs. I tried to tolerate the product for one week before discontinuing and notifying Dr Darbandi’s office staff. For the first time, I was informed that the return/refund policy is: NO RETURNS NOR REFUNDS AFTER THE SALE!! OF COURSE, PATIENTS are not told this at any time during the product overview, selection and purchase process. So please be advised to consider any potential purchases very carefully. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE PRODUCT CAUSES YOU HARM OR DISCOMFORT. BUYER BEWARE! ***** THIS IS THE REASON I AM DOWNGRADING MY RATING. Dr. Darbandi is 5-STAR OUTSTANDING! Overview of available treatment options for sale by KATIE. ** Beware of this unprofessional sales staff person whose focus is on selling products… whether the product is compatible with the patient or not!! FYI! The office building is neat, clean, and welcoming. Parking is plentiful.

I can't express in words how truly horrible this office is, but I'll try. I came in September of 2021 to get an updated eyeglass prescription. I didn't have insurance for a little while, so I needed a new prescription. I only have one set of glasses and the coatings on my lenses were starting to wear out causing marks to appear in my vision that won't wipe off. My last appointment with them was March of 2022 and I still don't have an accurate prescription. I made appointment after appointment. Took more and more time off work to make these appointments and Bowden couldn't get it right. The prescriptions I received gave me headaches, nausea, migraines, dizziness etc. I spent weeks of my life wearing these various prescriptions hoping I would adjust to them and trying to make them work. Do you know how incredibly difficult it is to go to work like this? Over and over again I would get a prescription from Bowden, go to the local eyeglass store to give them a new prescription. The store was able to measure my frames and cut the lenses on site. (I only have one pair of frames and couldn't send them out for a week). I would wear the new prescription for about 7 days before I couldn't take the pain of wearing them and had to go back to Bowden. They check the lenses, confirm it matches the prescription they issued and did it all over again. I had 5 separate prescriptions until I eventually gave up and asked for a refund from Bowden so I could go elsewhere and get a second opinion. They refused to refund me anything because they didn't cut the lenses. Despite confirming each time that the lenses I had were exactly what they had prescribed. I even had to have my eyes dilated for 72 hours for a special appointment so they could try to get a more accurate prescription for me. No one bothered to tell me in the waiting room that these eye drops can make you light headed, which I found out after trying to stand up and nearly fell over. The time and money I've wasted, the pain and suffering I've endured just to be able to see clearly is incomprehensible. These people are complete monsters and I can't recommend you avoid them enough.

I am a returning customer after getting new job and insurance. I was late for my appointment, Amber called. I was right outside. Thank God, she allowed me to keep my appointment. I had a delightful pre-check up and tests with Tony. Such a great guy to talk to and he explained everything as my exams were taking place. Such a super gent. Then I met Dr. Griffin (who wears great socks). He was so nice and a pleasure knowing I was in good hands. Finally, I wanted to get some new glasses and I met Ms. Hope. She is very honest and supportive in my choosing my new frames. We laughed, talked and by the end of my short time with her, I asked her to become my new best friend. It's been three years and Bowden Eye Associates patient care has not changed even with a new crew. Thank you Bowden Eye Associates for helping me to see you and my world clearly.

Made an appointment with these people as I was having an eye issue. When I got there for the appointment, I was told I would need to provide my full social security number. I would never recommend giving one’s full social security # to any doctors office or hospital. There is absolutely no reason for them to “require” this and unless they can guarantee zero security breach, which they can not, you should never be obligated to give this in order to receive treatment. The only possible way I can think that they have gotten away with this kind of stipulation so far, is by taking advantage of elderly people who don’t full comprehend the gravity of what could happen to them should that office have a breach. I would recommend finding an alternative eye doctor unless you enjoy playing Russian roulette with your identity.

My Mom's very first visit as a new patient today was awesome! She was seen at the Yellow Bluff location! And from the minute we entered the office, she was made to feel very comfortable and very well attended to. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and at the same time very professional! She truly loved the experience of meeting all of the front office personnel and her new doctor, Phillip Griffith! Hope, Callie, Amber or Amy were such sweeties! I don't usually leave reviews but this place warrants one. This quack made me think I had cataracts. He wrote me a prescription for eye drops and it was suggested that I buy (I did) their $100 bag that had items in it I needed. Items like more eye drops, an eye mask, some vitamins, eye spray and a cheap eye mask. I went back for appointment #2. The quack I saw informed me that I didn't have cataracts and gave me a prescription for glasses that they wasn't right, now I have worthless glasses. Thanks so much Bowden Eye for the nothing that I paid too much for. I wouldn't recommend this place to my ex.

I absolutely love this eye doctor everyone was so nice and very thorough and explained everything! No one minded how many questions I asked all of my questions or concerns were answered and then some! The doctor was amazing and the lady who helps with your glasses at the end of visit (Hope) I think was her name totally awesome person very helpful and took her time on making sure what was best for me and my situation !!! Literally the best eye doctors office I have ever been to and I will only come here from now on!!! Thank you so much Bowden Team you guys ROCK!!!!

First I called and got an appointment for the next day which was great, I tried to full out the new patient information got scared and upset because I couldn't see anything, told the staffs, got more upset because of the questions they asked (not proud of that) these young women were very accommodating and polite, its like they knew I was scared and did everything to make me feel at ease. The staff at Bowden eye clinic are amazing, the office is very clean, and they have a wide selection of very fashionable eyewear for all ages.

Bowden Eye was a blessing in disguise. My 95 year old dad just had the right eye, top of the line, cataract and lens replacement in the right eye. After 4 days he was watching tv with no glasses and her didn't realize it. Next week he will be doing the left eye. Dr. Darbandi and staff have the BEST bedside manner I have ever seen in any doctors office ever. They take the time with each patient and have such compassion. We are so happy to have had this opportunity with my Dad.

This office did a great job. Thorough evaluation with probing questions. Took time to answer all my questions. Provided a perfect prescription. Hope is extremely happy and friendly and works hard to make eye exams fun and exciting. Very impressed. I will be back. The only negative was telling me I would be charged $30 for a canceled visit when making my first appointment. Really turned me off. I almost went somewhere else because of this. Glad I didn’t. They were great.

It was my first time coming here and it was a great experience. Doc Griffith and all the other associates were friendly and helpful esp to the associate who did mostly my general eye exam (I believe his name is Mr. Tony?) He did a great job at answering all our questions as well as making me feel comfortable with all the eye tests to provide the best care I need. I really enjoyed my visit here. I was in seek to find eye care, that was not just shuffling people in and out on commission. The last few years these 49.99 for 2 pair of glasses places have been so disappointing for my type of eye needs. I heard from my daughter, this place really, care about your health. This place was professional, the staff really nice, they took their time to explain every step and the condition of my eyes. I recommend them.

Dr. Griffin is an excellent eye doctor because he takes his time in explaining what he has found from prior test taken and what he is going to do after he examines you to correct any problem if found. As a new patient I was extremely impressed. Very courteous and professional staff that happens to be intensely thorough. I called to schedule an appointment on Friday and I promptly received a time slot the following Wednesday. Bowden Eye & Associates (YellowBluff Office) reinvigorates my faith in quality service. Very confident my vision care needs are in great hands. I am anxiously “looking” forward to my next visit.

The front staff and the young lady that helped us pick out glasses were amazing! Extremely patient with us. The wait to see the doctor was a bit long though. We had a 1pm appointment, had the eye exam, picked out glasses and finally saw the physician about 3:15. He was to the point and polite. His coordinator was very friendly and helpful as well. Overall, great office, just be prepared to wait.

This was hands down the nicest, cleanest, and most friendliest office I've ever been to. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I didn’t have to wait and Katlyn the technition is fantastic. She listens to you and answers all your questions and doesn’t rush you. Dr Griffin is in my opinion a really great and patient doctor. He listens to your concerns and makes you feel comfortable. I have been going to Bowden Eye north side for about 7 years.

If you are have trouble with your eyes, these are the best Doctors there is. I have just had surgery also and everyone was wonderful. My mother had 23 eye operations due to having really bad eyes. They took really good care of her. I am Blessed to be seeing these great people.

I was greeted by a very friendly and punctual staff. They explained each test they were going to do in full details before they administered it. The doctor was very thorough in his assessment explaining what steps should be taken to prevent any future problems.
