"This is a great local resource, whether you want a place to study, access a computer or require something to be printed but it's real gift to the community are it's Children's Library and the Adult Lending Library"
"Much loved and very well used public amenity"
"Beautiful building for the public, funded by Andrew Carnegie( look it up!) I'm not keen on the latest indoor renovations as although they always seem to have the reasons why, is not in keeping with a lisited building! Nice library though, "
"Lovely local library with great children's section"
"Fantastically helpful and supportive throughout my mini-breakdown this morning"
This is a great local resource, whether you want a place to study, access a computer or require something to be printed but it's real gift to the community are it's Children's Library and the Adult Lending Library. They are like portals which can transport one to another time and another space whether it is witnessing the excitement and delight of children with their parents as they come to choose their books, that takes one back to one's own childhood memories of the library or through the choice of a book into which one can escape from the hurly burly of everyday life. Books can stoke the fires of the imagination, books can inform, books can help to change one's life, books are a stimulus but above all books are a pleasure. It's all in books! and it is all accessible with a library card. I like the staff as well, each as varied as the array of books on the shelves.
Much loved and very well used public amenity. Nice children's section. Aesthetically pleasing grade two listed building built in 1903 paid for and opened by Andrew Carnegie. On the entrance floor is a mosaic of the original coat of arms of Middlesex. And a little further in is the statue of the architect Nowell Par. On it's exterior ground in front of the building is a white stylized pillar World War One and Two War Memorial. Behind it, in Clifton Road. Is the equally lovely building of the formerly old Brentford Baths which was also designed by Nowell Par. In close proximity to The Butt's, Brentford Lock, Brentford Football Ground, Brentford Station, Grand Union Canal, Boston Manor Park and House, and The River Thames.
Beautiful building for the public, funded by Andrew Carnegie( look it up!) I'm not keen on the latest indoor renovations as although they always seem to have the reasons why, is not in keeping with a lisited building! Nice library though,
Lovely local library with great children's section. If they don't have a book you want, it's easy to order it. A book on order usually arrives very quickly for collection at Brentford
Fantastically helpful and supportive throughout my mini-breakdown this morning. I cannot thank you enough. Oh and incidentally the Judge didn't look at a single document, LOL!!!
A nice little local library within a historic building, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable but could do with some free WiFi for looking up book reviews etc.
An historic Carnegie library building, a well stocked children's department, and helpful librarians - what more could you want in a local library?!
Pros: It's a good library and well-stocked Cons: One of the librarians talks too much to the other librarians...can be a little distracting
Lovely place to bring my little one. Great to be able to borrow many books at once. Staff are very helpful and it’s a nice atmosphere.
It's a good library. Good selection of books but wish they wouldn't put books on the bottom shelf. Too difficult to see or get out.
Very nice collection of books, nice little library with a good feeling about it. Very helpful and courteous staff.
A very lovely library indeed. It's just a shame we have to go upstairs for non fictions. Friendly staff.
Love it and the staff is friendly and helpful But unfortunately, you can only six books at the …

Always friendly staff. Ordered most book that I wanted without any waiting.
Great for learners or students. Very quiet and not crowded reading room.
I love the library and the staff is professional and friendly.
Recent internal makeover has ruined this lovely building
