I am extremely disappointed with the service provided. I phoned many times to arrange for a collection to be made for a kingsize futon mattress (only used for 6 months). After several phone calls of finally arranging this collection and providing parking times before hand, I then receive a call from the driver on the day of pick up to say he cannot come due to parking which I already had made very clear that if they come after 4pm, you will not be able to park. However, after this I then managed to get another collection date. Finally the person/ driver arrived. My experience with this person was very frustrating. He was very rude and dismissive. He came into my home with rude attitude and then refused to take the mattress claiming it’s not good enough. I have explained the condition of the mattress, it is a used mattress however the condition is still reusable. I have had to make arrangements several times to be at home for this mattress to be collected and yet no one turns up and when they do I am left with experiencing such rude behaviour. I felt very intimated by this person and I am so shocked that such people can get away with behaving in this manner. I phoned the branch to speak to the manager, but wasn't available, they took my details for the manager to call back which he/she never did. I booked the pick up under jamal Uddin.

We went yesterday to purchase a couch and did do that. The couch that we purchased looked lovely but on taking it down we found a lot of dog hair stuck between the seats. So since we do not have a hoover at home we requested the staff at the till to kindly remove it before it was sent today. He was soo unbelievably rude and said you need to do it yourself! I mean we paid £85 for the couch. Not like he was giving it off for free. Also the couch was delivered today. There was a fixed postbox attached to my door that was preventing the entry of the couch into the house.Definitely my mistake as i should have been prepared before hand! The staff dint even attempt to offer to help to remove it as I was the only woman at home. They wanted to take it back and asked me to pay for the delivery again or leave it out in the road so I can remove the postbox myself and take it in myself! So finally they took a picture of it gave me the delivered note left it in the road and left! It took me literally 5 mins to unswrew the postbox! And I literally killed myself to drag it inside! Worst service I have ever experienced so far!!!

Sorry to say I had a disappointing experience couple of weeks ago . Efficiently organised by lady on phone for collection furniture . The man arrived promptly and said no to all furniture it was scratched marked etc . I explained these are vintage pieces lasted 50 years plus and Avalon Yatton goes on eBay . These piece popular with upcyclers . Another smaller charity would have taken them for their enterprise but does not have van. I am carer of a family member who has heart failure . I understand you may not want these vintage furniture wood pieces. I just found the whole experience a bit disappointing and disconnected . I support British heart foundation as someone who lives with daily of caring for someone with heart failure but sadly would not use this service again.

The collection driver Galin was rude and aggressive towards my frail 87 year old mother (Cricklewood NW2 London branch). He attempted to push past her at the door when she refused entry due to his bad attitude. He demanded that the bed had to be dismantled but BHF never told us this in advance. When I attended the store to confront this shameful bully he lied and said he was not rude. I lodged an official complaint. Not acceptable, shocking service. You would think they would show some level of respect and courtesy for donated items which they are making a profit from. They never answer the phone and think they are doing us a big favour. Would rather give the bed to a genuine and GRATEFUL person who genuinely needs it. Will never donate to them AGAIN!!

Booked a collection through a helpful guy. Showed him photos of furniture and gave him measurements. Was told collection would be between 8-12. No one arrived so rang and got call centre who said it would come by 2pm. Visited Cricklewood and a rude woman shouted that they would be there before 2pm. Guys arrived at 1.36pm and refused book shelves which we had put outside. That was fair enough. Then they refused to carry the light wooden bedframe because they said it would take too long to dismantle. One guy was prepared to and asked me for screwdriver, but guy in charge said no and left. So I had wasted two visits to the shop and 8am to 1.45pm waiting in for drivers to collect. I won't bother again.

Arranged furniture pickup. Confirmed fire label from California product. Driver checked but Store manager refused. Just wished they would have clarified needed to be British or EU or whatever they require but all they said was it wasn't a fire label when it very clearly was. Was very rude and unprofessional. Driver was 20 mins late after giving forty minute ETA. Have had similar issues before w this location. Will not use again. Ultimately found a good home for the sofa within 10 mins of putting it in front of the house. Just wanted to upcyclenand support a cause but won't bother next time.

Decent stock some of the time but some of the staff are simplest atrocious! I happened to be in there when they received a lovely donation of an expensive easel and some antique looking books and the women behind the counter said “ dash them in the big bin” are you for real? At the very least send them to another shop or just sell them?!? As others have mentioned they throw away very decent and valuable goods so I won’t be bringing them anything or returning here. Some friendly staff but overall it’s a disgusting attitude to have when working in such a place which is meant to REDUCE waste.

I booked a collection - specified exactly what was to be taken via online form. When they arrived, the rude drivers (and manager via phone) told me they “couldn’t take any boxes or bags - only furniture”. No apology, just “we’re full”. They gave me a collection receipt that specified “8 boxes, 13 bags” were expected. I’d carried the lot to the doorstep ready for them. Even when they phoned to say they were on their way they didn’t let me know these could no longer be taken. Other charity shops thank you warmly for your donations. What’s going on with BHF? It’s very disappointing.

  • R,L. Schulleri

Sadly I am jointing the list of those unsatisfied with the collection. It was organised promptly and by a friendly lady on the phone. However, when the 2 men arrived they seemed like they just wanted to find a reason not to have to carry the item downstairs. They first questioned the item type being different to what the paperwork said and then found the shelves and draw not to be to their standard - so off they were! I was speechless. It’s a beautiful real wood wardrobe that is not unsafe and is a shame not to be used for donations to BHF!

Had a kingsize Mattress hardly use and needed to upgrade. Wanted to donate to British heart foundation Cricklewood. The date was set for collection. The mattress had the fire tag everything was there. On arrival they refuse saying there’s fluff on mattress and refuse to take it. Now that is very sad because it’s a gift aid and for charity so I don’t expect they think it should be brand new. There a people sleeping on floor and here they are refusing to take mattress for charity free of charge.

  • Anna Champ

They have a really wide range of products all at very reasonable prices. As you'd expect with a charity shop it's very hit and miss what you might find there, so well worth popping in every now and then to see what you can find. All the items are very reasonable and they often have a 'sale' on. They will deliver but they do charge for this and prices start from £25 - prices are based on your postcode. If you're looking for good quality furniture for a reasonable price it's well worth a visit.

  • Al Roulexe

Very happy with my collection. They just need a tweak on their processes, as the first time they made an error and missed it. But on the reschedule date two friendly and polite chaps visited, they'd also phoned more than once to keep me posted on their progress. It was hassle-free and I was able to add extra items after the original booking. Great to know my items might reach some people who need them.

I have been to this BHF Cricklewood furniture store a few times now. No problem. However when walking in on 31/8/2020 the lady at the till was screaming her head off at the young man next to her. She was highly aggressive and put me off shopping with her extreme bullying. I thought I had walked into a war zone. I hope she is not there long term, as she has serious problems !!

  • Gina Moore

Before you go anywhere else for your furniture, head for this place! They have some brilliant furniture in here for unbelievably great prices. Yesterday I bought a wonderful comfy 'double-seated' chair for £25 and a solid wood drop-leaf table for £30! Lovely, helpful staff and no problem taking my dog in. Well done British Heart Foundation, great shop!

  • John Parry

I offered five IKEA Billy bookcases to BHF Cricklewood, only to be told by the collectors that they are 'too wobbly'. I would question that observation since I have used them for quite a number of years firmly attached to the wall. I'm really disappointed that when one tries to help an organisation like BHF such gifts are refused without sound reason.

  • robert baxter

I'm all for charity but the BHF and its shops could do with at the very least giving the sofas they are displaying a good steam clean, some of them have rips in them too, seeing what I seen in this shop I would not want a free sofa, i simply would not want to sit in one or indeed feel comfortable on one. Shame as I'm looking for a sofa.

  • Lisa Lool

I bought a sofa on Saturday from this British Heart Foundation shop, The sofa was in immaculate condition when I saw it, I received the sofa today I paid £25 delivery cost and it was not in the condition When I paid for it on Saturday. The couch it self was all marked up and damaged very disappointed won’t be buying from here again.

  • Clare Osullivan

I had two mattresses for you to take away but when the men come to pick them up they refused to take them.what a cheek there was a small stain I have seen a lot worse than them for sale in your rubbish shop.I will never set foot in your shop ever again

  • Patricia Walsh

New and used goods. All electrical goods are checked and have a guarantee. Usually a wide variety of stock. Useful for new home owners and landlords. Helpful and informed staff. Very quick delivery if needed. If only all shops could be like this....

  • lou s

Great products, disgusting service! After attempting to simply deliver one bed and delivering the wrong item to me on 5 separate ocassions, the manager Michael was extremely insulting and rude to me as if MY fault! Never again. Awful experience

  • Steve

We donated a large sofa, we were asked if the sofa had a fire safety label, I guess the sofa had to be in a certain condition for the foundation to sell it on. I get that I would want furniture in good condition if I was buying from the store

  • Juliette Lerault

Got a beautiful dressing table for 50 pounds and I am in love with it. The staff was lovely and very helpful ! They delivered the same day exceptionnaly for me as I was working the others days and couldn't received it so grateful for that !

  • Rita Chaudhuri

Left a shopping bag at the Cricklewood branch. one sales staff kept it safe. Next day went to pick up my bag but to my surprise bag could not be found. And the sales staff was at the hosp did not come to work. They are not honest

  • santneel rodrigues

The lady with curly hair at the counter is simply atroxious, rude and obnoxious. She has no manners and displays a big attitude as though she is doing a favour on us when we go to buy things from there. She should be sacked.

  • Olu Apampa

If you're looking for second hand furniture, Beds, office desks or even TV's - This is the place to go. They have a wide range of furnitures and beds at reasonable prices. Some even look brand new.
