This was my first visit to Bromley Car Repairs and I turned up without prior appointment. Bear with this long report - it speaks volumes and says a lot about this firm's integrity - an 'ingredient' every last bit as important as basic skill(s) in my book. Knowing nothing about how to resolve the problem I had with a small area of minor scratches on my car, I fully expected to witness opportunist hands rubbing together and a big-bill-respray estimate. •Not at all•. Instead, Adrian despatched my octagenerian legs to nearby Halfords (stressing that if I was quick about it he could deal with my quest there and then) to get something called T-Cut. Guage my naievity when I tell you that I bought the first tin I saw on the shelf; the contents were coloured black but I hadn't noticed that fact; as my vehicle is silver, the stuff was therefore useless of course. Given my age and having ran to and from the store, I was now somewhat breathless and dismayed that, with time pressing, I needed to return to Halfords and get the correct colour. However, quite voluntarily, HE did the errand for me! I was astounded at his kindness in the hurried circumstances. I was even more astounded on his reappearance when, with the aid of a cloth, he totally eradicated the offending blemishes in about two minutes' energetic application - free of charge too. How's that for outstanding and, in the nicest sense of the phrase, good old-fashioned service? Such qualities aren't exactly abundant in the garage business these days. He went far beyond what was required. To say I was impressed and grateful is an understatement. He truly made my day. As the old saying has it, "Little things mean a lot". On the strength of this experience I have no doubt that when I return to entrust this company with a bigger job they'll prove just as meticulous, helpful and attentive.

Unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. had booked my car in for engine light diagnostic. Garage clearly advised me on phone to bring car at 10am. The car was not starting so I had to arrange recovery service and when I got the car to garage at 9:40am , they said I should have got the car by 8 am and now they had no space in garage. It was so unprofessional on their part and such a waste of my time and effort and i would never again use them since I don't trust them anymore. Will have to get car diagnosed at main dealers. Atleast they won't be unprofessional in their customer service. Wow!! your reply on 10oct 2021 is full of untrue statements. . 1st - my car was not out of fuel and not full of oil and neither did the recovery driver tell you all that. You have just made it all up. I was never rude and nor demanding. I had booked an appointment at your garage a week in advance. I didn't just turn up with my car in a recovery truck. And I didn't demand you work on it immideatly. All I wanted was the leave the car there to be looked at whenever you could. You just refused to accept the car as you said there was no space in your garage. And you actually said your car park was full too and you could not look at it all. So it appears you also overbook customers and turn away some of them.

My van lost power several times . Dpf and engine light on board . I left my van with them around beginning of may .They said dpf filter is completely block .they charge me 480 pounds for cleaning and they returned van for me with no other problems in the van . I drove it 1 day then I went for holiday until 8 th june . I need to be on quarantine until 18 th . After 5-7 days of driving van the same problems , van lost power and dpf and engine on board . I call them several times and left messages and no one call me back . I drove there and they said they gonna book me on for 8 days to check everything but I think they should look at it straight away because I already pay for that work. So overall I paid 480 and problem is still the same …. Just update to your replay - so why catalyst not been checked !!! I am not mechanic to tell you what the problem is ! You checked my van , you told me van is perfect besides dpf !!! If you sorry give me my money back because there is still problem with my van

I have always been impressed with BCR, and recently received absolutely fantastic service from Steve and the BCR team. They were able to fit in my VW Golf very quickly - and even took it in early when the fault became more urgent. Although the job proved to be more complicated than originally thought, I was extremely impressed with their care and attention to detail in fixing it. I also appreciated having the issues explained to me, and being asked before any further work was done. My 12 year old car is now running like new. Given the work and time involved, the cost was very fair. Knowledgeable, experienced, reliable and honest, I whole-heartedly recommend Bromley Car Repairs, and will always use them in the future. I don't believe the other reviews on this place. This is old school, back street garage with a clear plan to fleece you of your cash. It came up in my search for Audi specialist and had these high reviews. I had a problem with the aircon. They told me it was actually the electrics and would cost £1200.00 +vat. Kwik fit found a loose pipe and fixed it for £39.00 + recharge. While my car was there, they told me I needed an oil change. Without telling me upfront they charged £170.00 (same price as an Audi Dealership). My tip: Any big probs with your Audi - go to dealership... However before you go anywhere you can get free diagnostic from Kwik fit or a Halfords Auto centre.

Booked an appointment in very short notice and expedited it when the problem became urgent. Diagnosed the fault very quickly and offered a very cost-effective solution. Even carried out a carbon clean for my old Audi. Despite all the work done, the cost was very competitive. I'd be surprised if you can find better value-for-money anywhere else in London. Steve and his team are honest and true professionals. They care about their customers. This will be my go to garage as long as I own a car.

I have used BCR for five years so I thought it was about time a posted a review. As I am a professional driver I rely on my vehicle being in tip top condition. BCR give an excellent customer service and have maintained my car better than any other main dealer or independent garage I have ever used over 30 years of motoring. Once used I'm sure you will also become a regular customer. The staff and service is five star.

Excellent service at good prices fixed a number of issues without much notice including fitting tyres purchased elsewhere but delivered to BCR. Organised a warranty repair directly which reduced my workload. In my opinion the real test of a good honest garage is when they tell you when work isn't needed and indeed BCR has done this a number of times. I would happily recommend over an approved garage.

Excellent service, so helpful and efficient. Called to see if they could replace a shattered driver's window on mini cooper and replace electric mechanism. They were able to take it in IMMEDIATELY and emailed a quote within a few minutes. Car was ready two days later and they kindly kept it until we were able to collect. Same price as quote. Thoroughly recommend and will definitely use again.

Overall experience has been fine till on a recent service they negated their own work done on rear brakes only because their record was probably not updated. New brake pads cannot get 70% worn in less than 2 months especially with minimal mileage. I wonder if new brake pads were installed to begin with or was it complete oversight during the service 2 months later.

Mot on my daughter's first car which is always a big worry. Passed first time thankfully and they even washed the car for her. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended. All our future repairs etc will be here instead of Kwik fit Bromley who let us down on the cars last service. Thank you guys this was such a relief

Been here a few times now, and every time they have charged me far less than the price the originally quoted, with the time they estimate always being way longer than it actually takes (usually a day). They also seem to wash/valet your car which is never discussed, even on small repairs not just servicing, amazing!

Recently used Bromley Car Repairs for a windscreen washer pump replacement. I found them to be courteous, approachable with any questions I had and actually manage to do the job quicker than I was first told, as the spare part came sooner than anticipated. I would definitely use them again.

My car had the DPF blocked and due to that it overheated, I took it to Bromley Car Repairs where I was promptly attended by very friendly staff, after 1 day my car was ready and literally like new, it required quite a lot of work but still it didn't cost a lot of money. Highly recommend

I went today at around 2pm to fix my headlight of the car. They fixed it and also checked my tyres and recommended to change the tyre as it is worn off. The gentle man was so helpful and professional also all the staffs are brilliant. I will definitely go back there again. Thank you !

Checked and agreed with my diagnosis of a cooling system problem on my Nissan Micra, and fixed it quickly and efficiently for a fair price. Something the main agents have failed to do on the last two occasions they serviced the car. BCR will definitely look after my car in future.

This is the second time I've taken my car in, the first was for a cam belt change and most recently for a check on some warning lights. Both times the service has been exceptional. I'd recommend Steve and the team anytime. I will be back when my next service and MOT is due.

Really pleased with the service we received today from Steve and the team. This was our third service/ MOT with BRC on our Polo and they always look after us. We have to travel 45 minutes to get to them, but well worth the effort to ensure we get great old school service.

Really helpful and straight. I had a broken bonnet release cable. They repaired it for significantly less than the VW garage who also wanted to break the grille and charge me for a replacement. Good value and v helpful. Thoroughly recommended.
