"I'm not into going to church, but I absolutely HATE it when people call me an atheist! I don't think anyone reading a review of a church is going to be all that sympathetic to my viewpoints on higher powers and salvation and bingo and dressing up, but neither do I feel like PREACHING my point of view to you, someone that reads reviews"

I'm not into going to church, but I absolutely HATE it when people call me an atheist! I don't think anyone reading a review of a church is going to be all that sympathetic to my viewpoints on higher powers and salvation and bingo and dressing up, but neither do I feel like PREACHING my point of view to you, someone that reads reviews. Don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you for reading reviews, how could I? I'm WRITING one! But I would imagine you are not interested in a) my personal views or b) reading my boring attempt to sway you to my ideals, either. Personally, I don't care WHAT you believe. It sounds bad when you say it that way, though. It's better to say, "You can believe whatever you want", but, to my way of thinking, this makes it sound like I'm giving you permission, and I don't posses the temerity it would take to say something like that to a stranger! The best way I have ever heard it put was by a friend of mine that said, "The difference between people that believe in God and people that don't is that the people that don't aren't bothered by the people who do.". I thought that dude was pretty smart, but at the same time, he couldn't pee without getting the front of his pants wet, so you take that for what it's worth. I gave this place five stars, though, because most Christians I know are good people and I give them the benefit of the doubt when I meet them. Sometimes, yes, I am disappointed by people, but I sometimes get a bad avacado (ugh! Nothing worse than that, am I right, sports fans?), but it never stopped me from buying the next one!
A police officer gave me this church to contact about helping me with something. I called to ask "how do I apply" I spoke with Tom. From the start of the conversation Tom was very downing and rude, asking me why I was in the position I was in which wasn't an issue with me. I politely told him my situation. He then said "sometimes we help people and sometimes we don't" Tom said he would call back after making a decision. An hour later he called and told me, We're" just not going to be able to help you and your kids, sorry find someone else who assist with utilities" I replied "ok thank you" It's ok to say no or not be able to help someone but to say everything rudely and give no explanation as to why I didn't qualify is beyond me. I will never reach out to this church family again thanks to Tom. I've never felt so low after speaking to someone.
Sweet staff, and well-kept facility. Parking options are plenty, and it's in a nice area of Nashville. There are a lot of activities for all ages, and community support. Also, they service good causes without being so stuck to being politically correct.
I just love the people there. they are one of the nicest groups i know. Lee Dalton is one of the best Youth Leaders i know. they come every year to my church for VBS and it is definitely a time you will not forget
They are very kind to host both my son's preschool fundraiser and my other son's guitar recital. Very cool community spirit at work.
I don't attend services here, but they are wonderful people and community partners.
Nice friendly people, good family atmosphere.
Wonderful experience every time I visit.
It’s lovely and old and just like home
