The roasted veggies and live music were the best parts. I wasn't in love with the food, but I would come back. The tables are small, making the setting intimate, but I would definitely come back for those veggies and their happy hour. Kay be aware, the service can be a little slow. We waited a while for our drinks.
Great food, and environment. This restaurant is perfect for date night, and yes she will be happy. Also, the food great. The fried chicken, & collard greens, or the Mac & cheese, even the fish is off the chain. They have specialty drinks that are stiff. One of my favorites in NYC.
Limited menu but my choice of app was super yummy, as was my main course. The fries could use less salt. My friend's Mac and cheese was very tasty but def salty! The winner by far, was my salmon and plantain taco! It's a cool spot to grab a quick bite. …
Food was quick and the people are SOO friendly. They offer a number of specials throughout the day and the atmosphere is cozy and reminiscent of a Louisiana cottage. They have open mics, comedy nights, and jazz frequently. Truly, a community spot. More people should come here!
Chicken wings were tasty and their Drink Sea Water taste good. Them opening longer would have been great. Had to leave and find another place to go to. Bartender was great. Gave me water without me asking and his suggestion of the drink was on point. Small space for seating
This has always been a favorite spot of mine. It’s so for the #culture and I absolutely love what they have going on there. Came in and had some really powerful conversations over a meal. Hope others find themselves coming through to eat! More
Three stars is perfect for this spot . We came upon this restaurant by just walking around before a WNBA game and loved the black owned feel. It’s a black/Caribbean Restaurant and it certainly gives that vibe . We went during the summer and
I use to come here all the time before I had my baby in 2021. Food and drinks was great. Now tuh . I came here tonight thinking I was gonna have soul food nah they switched there entire menu. My food took 25mins to cook a grilled salmon and
My cousin dragged me out on Corona scared week out to eat at this establishment on a Friday night.. Walked in the place has a vintage feel. Complimented by Caribbean music calmly bouncing in the background. Greeted and seated immediately.
The food was AMAZING. I never write reviews but I had to for this restaurant because everything was so good. I ordered the curry mussels, mac n cheese, and the sweet potato pie a la mode. Delicious!!! I'm still thinking about the mussels.
Absolutely terrible experience in every single possible way! The server was terrible and disrespectful we requested the owner he rolled his eyes and sad "I'm just the cook" we had to seat our selves! we went to bar and was told from the
The food was amazing! We had jerk wings, boneless chicken and mac and cheese. Let me say that Mac was AMAZING!!! I met the owner a few nights prior and he was nice enough to make special accommodations for my friend and I. The food was
I had a great experience at Brooklyn Moon this past Sunday. Not only was the price affordable for the buffet that I had, but the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant was so pleasant. The staff was warm and friendly! I felt like I was
This is a Brooklyn Staple! Love the food and curated playlist. Consistently great quality of food. Just went yesterday and the hospitality was unmatched. I believe I met the owner, he was super pleasant and a gracious restauranteur.
Came here by accident when they were doing movie night. It was so cool to be there for showings of films from artists in the community, and the artists were actually at the restaurant and spoke to everyone. It’s a cool spot for the
Food is very good. Drinks are good. Happy hour drink prices are GREAT. That wait though... expect to wait 20 minutes. Also, this place is kinda small and can get crowded so sometimes you can't hear yourself think, much less the
Atmosphere was nice with music on a Sunday. Ordered BBQ chicken with roasted vegs which was delicious! I got to meet the owner who was so warm and gave a history lesson of his bracelet and about life. More
Great Find in Brooklyn. First time but will definitely not be my last. Food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Felt like home......drinks were totally on point and that fried fish!!! ❤❤❤ …
Staff is friendly. The Jazz music sets are entertaining. The food is tasty. Overall climate: Comfortable and positive vibes. Great after work spot to go after a hectic work day. Check it out folks!
The food was ok. The service was ok. The waiter got my order wrong and I waited a long time to get my food. The tables are small and shaky. The table could not hold the food we ordered.
Had a horrible experience…. would not recommend for anyone to come. Had food poisoning and even heard rumors they put rat poison around their restaurant to scare off dogs More
The bartender is very rude. They also put rat poison all over the restaurant to avoid having dogs come in. That is very unsanitary and extremely dangerous for my dog. More
Went there for brunch. The jerk chicken and macaroni was amazing. Portions were very small, but overally it was a great experience and the staff was very attentive.
Every meal that came out look awesome. Our table meal was great. I love their Salmon. Don't know what's going on in the kitchen just keep up the great food coming.
Nice small place to grab a drink and socialize. Jerk chicken wings were good, Mac and cheese was okay. Happy hour drink specials are a good buy and last until 8pm.
One of my favorite spots in NYC when it was a poetry cafe many Brooklyn moons ago. I didn't know it became a Caribbean restaurant. The food looks amazing.
Great late night option. Such a positive atmosphere. The projection of the game was a bonus. I need to come Tues-Fri 11-7pm to really enjoy!!
Amazing brunch special with $1 mimosas!!!!! Can't beat it the food is amazing the atmosphere is dope and it's just a great time!
Will have to come back and try the food! Very pescatarian friendly. $4 margs for happy hour, yes please. Cute decor and space.
