"A vast community park filled with lush vegetation, beautiful tall trees, grass, a lake, small boardwalk bridges and many recreational facilities for fun activities with family and friends including (some sporting facilities require a permit): - 2 Designated BBQ and picnic locations, one at the North East end and another by the South West end of the park"
"Visit daily! Home to Park Walk 5 to 10 miles during my day! Fresh air, gr8 NYers! Activities for every1! A vast community park filled with lush vegetation, beautiful tall trees, grass, a lake, small boardwalk bridges and many recreational facilities for fun activities with family and friends including (some sporting facilities require a permit): - 2 Designated BBQ and picnic locations, one at the North East end and another by the South West end of the park. - 3 Turf/little league baseball fields. - 1 Mile bicycling and greenways. - Bocce courts. - Fitness Equipment. - 2 Handball Courts. - 1 Level 4 accessible playground with transfer platforms and ground level play features for children. - 1 Spray shower. - 6 Tennis courts (lessons offered). - Lots and lots of well built park benches. - Lots of open space. In addition, this park has some lovely Greenway lamps that lights up the paths at night and many fireflies can be seen illuminating the environment which sets a good mood. If you're into bird watching, whether natural birds or iron ones, the park offers a chance to see a variety of migrating bird that often fill the trees of the park while they rest along the Atlantic flyway, and the aircrafts on approach to JFK airport fly very low over the entire length of the park which offers amazing plane spotting view that takes your breath away if you fancy that kind of stuff. Overall a lovely park, so get out there, explore and stay hydrated! :)
Visit daily! Home to Park Walk 5 to 10 miles during my day! Fresh air, gr8 NYers! Activities for every1! This is where I do my best thinking on spiritual matters, where I brainstorm on business, shoot my videos for upcoming courses, watch ppl but most of all to socially interact with peers who have the same interests . . staying healthy, from young ones to 80+ yo Seniors! From Country life to City life! See ya in future posts! Luvualwayz!
Although it was a bit chilly this morning, the park was a lovely place to do some filming. I was not familiar with this park but glad I had the chance to work in it today. I saw many who took advantage of the bright skies as they jogged, walked, laughed, walk their dogs, or just shared some smiles with their friends.I am sure that the entire park is beautiful but I only got to sample a small area today. The trees are lovely to look at as one relaxes on one of the many benches placed in the park. I was a bit disappointed with the bathroom area. The bathrooms need to be cleaned better and stocked better. They did have a "social distancing" sign which was a positive but I definitely recommend that it be cleaned more frequently. Now, more than ever we need to sanitize and protect one another as we all fight this horrible virus. I don't have any pictures because I was on set but once the movie comes out I will edit my post. I bet you all can't wait. In the meantime, I have to go set back some clocks.....
This is a beautiful park. Well kept & safe. I've been walking here for 3 years. There are Tennis courts, ,basketball, football field, workout area, handball courts, lots of room & trails to walk, picnic areas additional areas where groups can gather water and just a great park altogether. Little bridges, ducks, birds, turtles. A great park for all. Children's playground, and plenty of parking around. 2 bus stops right here as well. Near the Sunrise highway, surrounded by homes on certain sides. Runners: You won't get bored several ways you can run and see the same person 2x. Yes it is huge. Wild mushrooms, berries you see them here to. Different types of tree weathering on the bark. Walking at night or very early am there are lighted lamppost all over the park & those spot lights near the tennis court I love it here. This is my peace.
Playground
Several kids activity & bathroom right there.
Restrooms
Yes.
Dog-friendliness
Yes
Picnic area
Yes. A nice amount of tables
beautiful beautiful beautiful water pond sunny faces walking by, some exercising, Summer just taking a walk. Others are teaching the kids how to ride a bike for the first time, couples are walking hand-in-hand so as to say, 'aren't we glad that we made it past the Covic!! I really appreciate you. I really love this opportunity to share this moment in nature with you.' How often does that happen? There's a beautiful Cool Breeze. It's unimposing but soft enough to let you know that it is there almost like a warm welcome. I don't see a whole load of geese or any live birdies on the water, but I'm sure they're around here somewhere. I'm sure many beautiful birds called this place home. If you decide to come through just remember to keep your six feet distance from your fellow neighbor to protect you and them. To all our workers cops and ambulance maintenance delivery service Food Service. You guys are all the best and thank you for remaining open!!
There's tennis, basketball (3 Full courts), and handball courts. There's a kids playground also featuring a small water sprinkler for the kids. There's a public bathroom. There's also a football field, a lake, and small baseball field. There's picnic tables and benches with checkerboard tables. There's plenty of walkway to get your steps in or ride your bike even. A host of trees for shade and grass to lay down if you choose. There's no real parking lot but more than enough free parking on the street. Can't forget the workout stations that have grown to be extremely popular and many have workout classes here. Summer hosts basketball tournaments as well.
Green space in Rosedale, Queens. There are young and old people walking in groups, alone, walking dogs and children, jogging, riding bikes, playing basketball, handball, and playing tennis. There are also a number of people reading. There are birds and a small brook that has flowed through the park for years, and years, and years. Despite the traffic and the super loud planes about every minute that fly above - JFK's flight path, I still find time to be still and thankful. Unfortunately, the place is not very well kept, there is garbage about - left over food, garbage on tables, cigarette butts, beer bottles... but it's green space.
My 1st 5 stars is for the beauty of the park. My family and I hosted our family reunion here yesterday. My next 5 stars is what it had to offer. 9 PM closure for the park and the bathrooms. A walk and bike trail in a round the area of a lake and 29 BBQ grills. Prime location or caregiver of the young, the old and the fellas (dominoes chess). My 5 stars is for baby who enjoyed seeing the plane fly over the park thru the trees . Others had bouncy houses and big slides rentals that made the park look festive. That was my other 5 star. We also seen dogs running around just as happy as we were.
I occasionally visit this park to use the handball court to get a workout. A few weeks ago and today there were plenty of leaves which is normal and acceptable this time of year. However today there were also ripped up soccer balls and dog waste which I accidentally stepped in that ruined my mood and workout. I know the park workers are busy and can't monitor irresponsible/lazy dog owners 24/7 but there should be more signs banning pets from ball fields, tennis/handball courts. Additional signs telling dog owners to clean up after their dog should be added to all city parks.
It's very beautiful and quite crowded due to it's popularity
Playground
Very popular amongst children and are normally filled but at the same time it's always clean with a book cabinet that is sometimes full and sometimes empty but it also says, if you take a book from the book cabinet, to bring the book back or put it back after either reading it or bringing it home
Restrooms
I do not recommend
Picnic area
Not many bugs and very quiet on a good day, some days it's filled with people who reserved a spot for a party or a get-together
I love taking my 3 month old huskypit for a walk. The park is beautiful more then ever. I love how it was renovated at the beginning entrance of the park by Brookville Blvd & 147th Ave., the benches, the new paths, the tables with chairs I love it. The only thing though is they should have put a water fountain around that specific area because if you want water for yourself or your puppy, dog you would have to go to the other end of the park. Other then that it's a beautiful place to simply take a walk & so on.
I've been coming here since I was at kid. My son even played sports there. Now every once in a while I go there for a walk or toss the ball around. It a very beautiful park. The park has alot like a Pond you can walk around, also a Playground, Basketball courts ,Football/Soccer and Baseball fields. Plus Bathrooms and its the home field for the Rosedale Jets and Rosedale Little League.
I love this Park. it's really a beautiful Park. The only problem is the lake. The lake needs to be cleaned out. The bridge is getting weak and it needs to be repaired. Around the lake needs to be cleaned. This is a beautiful Park you can barbecue, you can picnic. You can relax with your kids and family. A little touch up here and there and the park away would be perfect.huüp
The best park in Queens to play tennis. Courts have been recently renovated and are in excellent condition. Most of the players are part of the Brookville Park Tennis Club and are very friendly to new players looking for hitting partner's. Park is located in a tree lined picturesque setting. If you like tennis you're guaranteed to have an enjoyable experience at this park.
Nice park, pretty clean and close to my house. The trail is nice to walk and the paths are clear and wide. I love to walk with my boys and even has a decent playground for the kids.
Playground
Kindof small but decent for the kids. Plus they have tennis, basketball and handball courts seperate. So no interference with the little ones or those on a walk.
Lovely little park! Lots of trees, fauna, and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed watching the planes fly close by. Beautiful green headed ducks, and lots of turtles. There's a tennis court, and a huge field where one can play baseball and football. There's a playground for kids, as well. It was so nice, the day I went overthere, that I had a hard time leaving.
Beatiful park with lots of potential ..wish they would restore with a cobble stone bridge and better road asphalt is pretty bad nice park for bikes feeding geese's ,turtles, crabbing baseball field always empty so i go there play catch ..when therea no football game we use to fly kyte please dont come after 10pm alot of racoons around dont disturb
I'm a tad bit sad the swan babies(not babies no more) have been removed. They were and still are my main attraction to this park. The trees and overall park is pretty decent as well. I had me a refreshing morning walk. Anytime of day your sure to feel relaxed just basking in the bit of nature.
There is a dirt parking lot right at the southern end of the park. Park there, walk over to the nearby benches, and wait. Just wait; 2-3 mins at most. You will be sitting directly under one of the final approach paths for JFK airport: wide body jets will be blasting overhead in no time.
Nice clean park. Beautiful. Brook flowing through the park has ducks, fish and turtle. Basketball courts are in good shape. Jungle gym for the kids are safe. It has a Football field, baseball field and Nice bike bath. Place to bbq and picnic. One of the best park hands down.
Wish the bathroom stayed open until dark when most cook-outs ended.
Playground
Definitely kid friendly. Large play area with a water sprinkler for you to cool off.
Restrooms
Just needed to stay open longer.
Picnic area
Nice benches and plentiful.
Very nice Christmas community event. The children made ornaments, cookie, buttons, and hit cocoa was served. We went to a Halloween community event as well. The park is very clean, nice walk in the park while looking at geese and turtles.
Great beautiful park with basketball courts, calisthenics workout section, tennis courts, picnic area, and a beautiful pond as well. Airplanes can be annoying as they fly in from above but other than that it’s a beautiful safe park.
The park was beautiful and clean. The park keeps were tremendously helpful. We were there for my granddaughter's memorial birthday celebration for her mother and a great time was had by all. Wonderful atmosphere and great vibe!
It's a shame to see what has become to Brookville park... once upon a time there was a boat house in this park. There were sign prohibiting people from swimming in the park. Now let just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Very nice open park with a lake and small bridge. Playground for kids and basketball court. They have also a calisthenics section if your into working out. Green acres mall is maybe a mile down. Five towns is also very close
Well maintained park. You can go crabbing there apparently lol... they had a few picnic areas and courts for basketball and tennis, plus local vendors nearby so you can also grab a donut while you enjoy nature..
Well.... it's a nice peaceful and charming park, until you notice that there is an airplane over your head every 30 second, then it gets a bit funny. But overall the park itself is great and mostly clean.
A group of and a stays at the pond! Take some duck-feed-able food and spend a peaceful afternoon feeding them. The park is a good spot in the midst of all the chaos in the neighborhood. …
Love this park. I vist to do my runs on the trail. The streets are double parked up so most times it’s hard for parking. Lots of scenery and well kept in terms of litter and trash compared to most parks
They need spray park for bugs & need cut grass around kids play ground.
Playground
Nice but over grown plants around it make it eye soar.
Picnic area
Need to be clean and spray for bugs
The up-keep here is great the place is clean. Exercise ground, play ground and louts of space to walk, run, bike, play and exercise. What more do you need, I see turtles and crabs, ducks and geese.
No grass - just mud. Garbage embedded in the soil. Under the airports landing route. Extreme noise every 5 minutes. However from far away you can see it has a nice design if it was just kept up.
It's very relaxing and clean. Basketball ball courts, football field, tennis ball court, playground for the kids, lots of seating. It's really amazing. A good place for a barbeque or picnic
It's a very large park with beautiful sceneries. Be prepared to see airplane from a quite close proximity. The pond is ever so calming and divine, with ducks floating around. Super cool!
Ad always my favorite park. It's very well kept by The Parks Department. A thumbs . There is a beautiful serenity about this place. A great place for kids as well as adults . …
My friend did a shoot with me at Brookville park on a Saturday and it was perfect. It was a fairly cold day so there were only a couple people there and the park was very clean.
It's a place that makes you comfortable and it's well cared for.
Restrooms
It is great for those who use the bathroom a lot
Picnic area
Set and enjoy the moment
Nice place to walk play basketball, tennis, handball, workout, BBQ, children play area with swings and sprinklers. Normally pretty clean. I can see Ducks and swans.
Such a beautiful place and perfect for kids, family outings or just to play some basketball or tennis. Amazing sights and perfect for a long relaxing stroll.
Loved it. Beautiful scenery. Nice and clean
Restrooms
Restrooms were too far away...very, very far. There should be more restrooms or porta potties
Really don't knw enough to give a proper review. I was there for my son's football game. Didn't explore the rest of park. It does seem very spacious!
Love to run and observe all the wildlife here. People are so friendly, so glad I’m just 2 blocks away from this cute park. Great to walk our dogs.
Great for a variety of activities, from community events to individual walks or group activities in the park surrounded by the beauty of nature.
I visited this park two days earlier. It’s very nice and clean and have some barbecue spot, some benches. You can enjoy all day. Really nice.
Nice park. They have cleaned it up a lot. Traffic is horrible around there and parking is even worse. Give yourself time if you are visiting
Love this park nice and quite great for exercising has ducks and turtle you can feed. A good place to go if you just want a piece of mind.
Brookville park has a beautiful tennis court where my daughter does tennis practice, also the ppl there are very friendly
Greenery location of Rosedale farmers market! Get every varieties of farm fresh vegetables, fruits, and natural juices.
Great place to take a jog or relax and have a picnic. The football field is a little roughed up but it's still useful.
Amazing and relaxing. Wonderful for a romantic date. Or having a wonderful fun day with the kids. Can't wait to return
Great walking area and play portion for kids. Good for seeing various ducks, geese and an occasional swan.
Cleanliness and well maintained, great for a bike ride/ some soccer / duck feeding or people watching.
This is a nice park to exercise. It Has many trails plus workout areas so you can get a full workout.
Great time with people I've known for a long time, good food, music and great atmosphere.
Lots of fun free activity take place here. It does need a lot of upkeep and maintenance.
Such a nice lovely park. Perfect spot to watch planes fly right on top of you
Enjoy a peaceful walk, run, or cycling. Workout Station, soccer tennis.
Park can be a little more cleaner and the landscaping can be better.
