Been here twice for the same service at different times of the day and had the same issue. This time the Same guy provided me with "service". He opened the shop late even though he was there at 8am. I wasn't the only customer waiting. It appeared The other customer got out of their vehicle walked over to the car the employee was talking with another guy in and said something to him that caused him to move quicker in opening the shop. After he opened the shop and finished speaking to the other customer I told him I needed a car inspection he said we just opened it will be 30 minutes do you want to come back later or wait. I said I don't mind waiting additional time. My issue started After he "serviced" my car. he said it was $37 for car inspection but took $40 for the car inspection . He said only cash no card then when he saw my money he said there was no change. There was no sign that said no card ,only cash. They advertised car inspection for $37 I said this is the second time I come here and you don't take card nor do you have change and I gave more money for the service than I should have. He said it's only $3. I did not say this to him but Sir Not everyone has $3 to spare and at this point its $6 .he showed me his wallet to illustrate he had no cash in it. He Didnt bother to ask any of his male co workers if they have change nor did he suggest $3 could go towards credit for the next time i come for service. Then for a 2nd time he said they just opened so there is no cash as an excuse for why he didn't have change and I said i have been here at a later time in the day before and you didn't have change then. He became visibly upset raised his voice then said next time you come have the exact money have $37 if you go over there (pointing and gesturing to a business across the street)they will charge you $40. He said this over and over continuously pointing across the street. Personal opinion if any shop is charging $40 for a car inspection in NYC something is terribly wrong.there was no signage that states cash only, no credit card, or exact change policy. I gave him the money and he pocketed it then quickly walked away he didn't even put it in the register. This is a reminder to myself not come here again.

I recently visited Bruce AUTO CENTER off boston rd in the Bronx, NY, to have my fuel tank removed and cleaned, as well as getting my spark plugs changed. The experience was a mix of good and not-so-good moments. Initially, a more experienced mechanic was working on my car, which gave me confidence in their ability. He disassembled and carefully checked everything, ensuring a thorough inspection. However, during the process, he was replaced with an inexperienced mechanic who seemed eager to work on my vehicle. While enthusiasm is great, I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned about the switch. The new mechanic was advised to take my vehicle to the back for further work. Unfortunately, upon getting my car back, I immediately noticed horrible scratches on the exterior. It was evident that the mishap occurred during the replacement of the spark plugs, which was quite disappointing. In addition, after paying I had to wait another 45min for the mechanic to finish praying before he could add fuel in the tank. subsequently, I realize that they had left screws outside of the motor cover. So I had to return back to the shop to have them find some screws to put the motor cover back on the motor. The shop staff was apologetic and offered to fix the scratches at another one of their shops. However, I felt uncomfortable with the idea of letting them handle the repairs, especially considering my truck is less than 3 years old. I may have to involve my attorney and insurance to address the issue properly. Overall, I appreciated the initial expertise and thoroughness displayed by the first mechanic. However, the unfortunate mishap and the subsequent offer to fix it in another shop leave me with mixed feelings about my experience at Bruce Autocenter. Hopefully, the situation can be resolved amicably, and future customers won't encounter similar issues.

Bruce's Car Care Center is by far THE VERY BEST in Auto Repair, Attentive Customer Service and Follow-up Customer Care! I humbly have to apologize to Ray [An absolute Dedicated Professional] whom I left a not so positive review some time ago due to my misunderstanding of what services were performed on my Chevy Tahoe! Upon taking my Truck to another shop, I realized that Ray had come through on ALL of the agreed work done and that the additional work needed was not discussed during our meeting towards the agreement of services to be performed! This was MY misunderstanding and again to Bruce's staff and Ray I Sincerely apologize for the negative review!!! Since that time. I've gone back Several times to have various repairs done successfully at the HIGHEST level and also just to stop in to say Hello to the BEST team of associates at Bruce's! My Son, Daughter, Wife and Nephew have even formed their own personal relationships with Ray and Ali to have services performed on their vehicles as well!!! BY FAR THE ABSOLUTE BEST SERVICE AROUND! AND open 7 days a week! What a Plus being able to go get an oil change or purchase a New set of All - Season tires on a Sunday afternoon!! This all adds to this shop being the Best and most convenient!! I gotta give zero stars my mother in law went there on a Sunday for some repair $900 the same issue is still their so a few days after I decided to look around the engine bay and under the car and found a ton of bolts missing, also bolts with plumbers tape wrapped around then missing parts to fasten them to the engine body also parts the mechanic claimed he fixed is held up by zip ties I even found plumbers tape roll that I can bring back covered in grease if you want and even found parts that was supposed to replaced still in the same spot and not connected to anything. Not to mention the entire bottom flap that's supposed to be attached to bumper is falling off and being held by a screw that I don't think it belongs in the thread. I would love to bring the car back exactly how it was handed back so the owner can take a close look and say if this is a professional job done because to me as non mechanic this is not how mechanic work is supposed to look like I have been other places and I never seen anything like this. I would love for a response so I can bring it back and we can go over the work that was done to see if you would approve of the work and repair it to how it should be and guarantee your warranty of work performed for the amount paid. I will be awaiting a response back, I can be there before you even open the doors for this to be fixed.

Went in to ask about swapping my BMW tires and balancing wheels along with an alignment. The owner greeted me very well and was very helpful even though he was eating and was very busy at the shop. Very professional and respectful. Most shop owners act as if they don’t have time for anything also ask you what kind of car you drive so they can give u a higher price if you drive a European luxury car. Bruce didn’t ask what kind of car I had because he didn’t need to. I came in for a tire mount and balance also a wheel alignment which is the same for every make and model basically ALSO he let me leave my wheels over night In his office so that I wouldn’t have to make multiple trips and ruin my cars interior and even got started on the job the day before without any payment or anything. Price was extremely fair and they also raised my aftermarket suspension up as it was too low from a previous shops install. Most shops want nothing to do with aftermarket suspensions especially if they were installed by another shop not to mention free of charge. ALSO LOW SLAMMED CAR FRIENDLY HE HAS A IN GROUND WHEEL ALIGNMENT LIFT!!!!

They are crooks specially if you don't know about cars? I Bring my car in for a break line repair. I tell him I only have $170. He accepts the offer. I go home to wait, all of a sudden, they call me to tell me that I have a fuel line broken That needs to be repaired so they said it will be another $100 Which was bullcrap Because when I first brung the car, it wasn't smelling like gas at all or leaking gas when we all together was standing underneath the car. My Car was only pulling to the right when I braked. My gas mileage was good. So I told them that they must of damaged or broke the line themselves so he got angry and told me to just give him the $170 and no longer bring him my business. Now the back of the trunk smells like brake cleaner fluid and now I can smell heavy gas from under the car which i never smelled before. His name was RAY. Now, will I go back to complain so he can fix what he has done? No because as far as i know he might mess something else up then try to charge me for his mess up! Know your stuff before messing with these guys!

I have had the pleasure of working with Ray on several occasions, and he has consistently provided exceptional service. What sets Ray apart from other mechanics is his attention to detail and dedication to his customers. He takes the time to explain any issues with my car and goes out of his way to make sure that everything is running smoothly. I have never felt like I was being rushed or pressured into unnecessary repairs, which is a refreshing change from my previous experiences with other mechanics. One instance that truly impressed me was when my wife's car broke down on the side of the road. We were both worried and didn't know what to do, but Ray came to the rescue. He dropped everything to go and help her, and he even arranged for a tow truck to take her car back to the shop. It's not often that you find someone who is willing to go above and beyond for their customers, but Ray truly exceeded our expectations.

Went to the Bruce’s care center to repair my car catalytic converter , the gentleman working there said they would take a look at it but wasn’t sure they had the parts to repair it. They they are worst my Times and they took $800 and put not good catalytic converter... please don’t lose your money like me ... and I went to Acura devan in Norwalk in several days later and spoke with a mechanic and was told that the catalytic converter wasn’t good and I went back and told to gentleman who repaired my car in Bruce’s care center and I would need to replace the catalytic converter and that gentleman man said me I have pay $800 again .. please don’t mess up with your vehicles here Can’t strongly enough recommend that you don’t bring your any vehicles here please don’t lose your money .. like me ..

I have an X5 (f15) that has been making a few noises and shakes. I was recommended to Bruce’s Car Care by a tire shop on Boston rd. When I got there, I was instantly taken care of, diagnosed and quoted. I brought my car in the next day and everything was done in 2hrs. I am so happy! I have gone to 3 other places and each has quoted me thousands to fix the “issue” 2 mins of talking to Ray and he assured me the problem was minimal and cost less than a thousand. I instantly felt comfortable and had no doubts. Needless to say, the car is great now. They run around a lot because they’re busy and trying to get everything done, so if you can’t get a hold of someone, be a human and be patient. They are all so sweet and kind. Just overall amazing energy. Thank you so much guys!

They are responsive! Ali and Ray are super busy! They're so busy sometimes they don't pay close attention! I had to replace the old starter in my SUV. My vehicle was SOL. I towed it to BAC. I thought I was getting a new starter without a 1 year warranty on the labor. I ended up a real refurbished POS! One of the mechs accidentally installed a cheap refurbished, generic, starter manufactured in China. The POS didn't even last three weeks! I went back and explained the situation. They replaced the POS generic with a new brand name starter from Autozone, no installation. I had another shop install an OEM and keep the other in the back as a spare, just in case. Let this be a lesson. Never install anything generic if it's a critical component of your vehicle!

I went there with parts already and I wanted them to install them. He quoted me $250 if “it wasn’t hard” to take off the bearings, but if it was hard he’ll have to charge me an addition $200 which is $450. I told him that was pretty steep and before we did any service I wanted him to make sure I have all the parts needed for the job. He got upset and told me to go somewhere else since I was “doing too much”. He referred me to his “other shop” which was close but I would never put a dollar in the pockets of any mechanic who doesn’t have patience to make sure he answers all of the customers concerns or anything. He seemed to be moving in a rush and didn’t like that I was questioning his insane price gauging. I would never go back again!!!

Great service. Fast. Friendly and fair. I've been here 2 days in a row for 2 different things and both times they got me fixed and legit. I'm actually here now getting my rear brakes changed for my inspection. Yesterday, I came to get my thermometer changed. I only waited an hour and it was complete and no more check engine light. They also put my windshield wipers on for me. Today, I had to drive around more and come back and even tho busy they were attentive and on point. I'm bringing my car here from now on. As a woman these things can be uncomfy and the people try to over charge you but they didn't . Both times he gave me fair prices. Im overly satisfied. ❤

Very nice car center and durable prices compare to other mechanics. I had a terrible day with my car went to the shop around 5: 00pm it left for them to close at 6pm. They have to change my Altinator time already spent Mr Bruce is so kind and asked one of the workers to change it for me. They guy doesn’t hesitate at all and take over the Job as commanded buy Mr Bruce. Everything done on time and my car working perfectly. Thank God. I’m greatful and appreciative. All the workers over there are lovely, respectful and hard workers. Christopher did a good Job on my car. I will never give my car to any other Mechanic expect BRUCE CARE CENTER.

Terrible customer service... they waste your time... I went to check the traction control of my vehicle, the counter told me to wait 5 minutes, wait for an hour and a half and I still haven't been attended to... He just left and left no one in charge, I think they already have plenty of money and they are not interested in losing a minor customer... or they are not interested in serving any Hispanic person, because they served other people before. my... I'm not coming back and I recommend you not to come back, it will leave you very bad.

Ray will be the downfall of this company. It really doesn't matter what position or stake he has in the company, every individual deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. His demeaning and rude attitude downgrades the efforts of all the other hardworking members and employees at this location. Enroll him in an anger management course or something. Everything seems to trigger him, even very simple questions. It's despicable.

I visited the shop for a wheel alignment to the front and rear wheels. i knew I had a tire that needed replacing, and they new immediately without me having to tell them exactly which of the tires. They even balanced my front tires for free after I told them I get vibration over 60mph. I just finished testing at 80mph on I-87, and the car feels new again. I HIGHLY recommend this shop. I'm definitely a repeat customer after today!

This was probably one of the best experiences I've had at an auto mechanical shop not only did the solve the problem of my car overheating but everything was done the same day. Hands down the best place to get your car serviced. I've been going to them for years and they have not let me down. They are honest and tell you exactly what needs to be done on your car, then fix it at a very reasonable price. I used to go there but the last time they damaged my car and made me pay for the part they broke. And they kept my car for a week because they were "too busy". Also they changed a part that was working good, just to take money for the labour. The manager is very unproffessional and disrespectful. Will just try to steal your money. I suggest not to go there.

Amazing customer service!!!! Needed them back to back days for brakes and after my Cat got stolen at work. Very reasonable and honest guys. I don't have a guy I deal with regularly but the 3 times I went there I felt well taken care of. And the did stand by their work. I got an alignment that wasn't right. I didn't realize Immediately. When I took it back. No questions no haggling. They realigned it and I'm happy. Good guys there.

I woke up to a flat on one of my 6 month old tires, and went driving on my doughnut looking for a place to get a new tire. Ali was friendly and helpful, and was able to quickly reset my tire and confirm it wasn't damaged. I was back on the road in no time at all. Quick and very professional; I definitely recommend them.

I had a problem with my A/C. I brought my truck to the dealer 2 times to get it fixed. As it turns out $500 later they couldn't fix it...so I brought it to Bruce's and a older gentleman in the back fixed it within a matter of minutes. And I wasn't charged as much. Busy busy busy and the pricing can be a bit much. Did not like a mechanic smoking under the hood of my coupe, pretty sure thats dangerous. The staff at least were nice and was recommended honest things at the very least.

Candid! At my convenience I have a mechanic shop 4 blocks down the street I've always gone to. One day they were closed and I found Bruce's. I never went back to the mechanic down the street after that.

They fixed my timing chain, my catalyst converter and diagnosed my check engine problem.. They where very professional good quality and excellent value. I would definitely recommend them to others.
