After the awful and disgusting treatment my Dad received from the CO-OP in Westbury-on-Trym, I transferred my Dad’s care to Chris and his team at Brunel. From my first meeting with the lovely Jane, to meeting Chris and Louise, there care of my Dad has been faultless. They have shown professionalism from start to finish. The respect they showed my dad relieved so much pressure and stress off myself as soon as i knew he was safe in their care. Chris has to be the nicest guy we have ever met he would literally do anything for anyone, he is very warm and comforting. Whenever I phoned there was always someone there to answer the phone and answer all my questions. Chris walked my Brothers through every step of carrying my Dads coffin on the day, and allowed myself and my family to view my dad in the Chapel of rest as many times as we needed. Chris and his team Laid my Dad out so he looked so peaceful making us all feel at ease. It was a nice touch Chris walking my dads coffin through Sea Mills as I did not think he would be able to as it was such a busy main road, my dad would have loved it. Chris and his team carried out all myself and my family’s wishes and helped us give my dad the perfect send off. I would strongly recommend Chris and his team, and will definately be using their services in the future when the situation arises. Thank you for everything Catherine O’Sullivan and family.

Before my much loved mum sadly passed away, I searched reviews for funeral directors on line to get the best care for her. Brunel came out on top so I called them and Louise was reassuringly helpful. She guided my brother and I through the whole process giving us all the choices to make a very personal goodbye, nothing was too much trouble. We had many questions which were answered promptly with patience and understanding. Chris led the funeral which was organised perfectly and he was very respectful which I will remember always. The very specific flowers arranged by Louise were beautiful and added a small brightness to the day. Louise arranged the celebrant Susan who took time to get every detail correct which was very much appreciated. I could not have asked for more. Mum would have been proud. I would certainly recommend Brunel funeral directors as a compassionate and experienced service delivered with attention to detail. Thank you all so much.

To Chris, Jane & Louise, from the bottom of heart you are fantastic people. The care my mum received and us as a family was unbelievably amazing. From the start, the level of care, compassion and respect my mum received and us as a family was astonishing and I couldn’t put into words how much you all mean to us as a family. We couldn’t have picked better people to take care of my mum. You all made such awful situation easier, knowing my mum was in safe hands was a peace of mind for us all. Since my father passed, I have said, on numerous occasions, that you meet the nicest people in the worst circumstances. Brunel were no exception. Regardless of having spoken to Chris and Jane on the telephone, within minutes of walking into their offices, we knew that we'd come to the right place. Duty of care is clearly something that comes naturally for Chris, Jane and Louise and I know It's a cliché, but yes, nothing was too much trouble. And on the day, that duty of care was combined with seamless professionalism. Organising a funeral is surely the most emotive endeavour you'll ever be involved in and making a poor choice of funeral director, it doesn't bear thinking about. Highly recommended.

I can’t describe how overwhelmed we felt after losing our daughter but they completely put us at ease explaining everything as many times as we needed them to, nothing was too much trouble. knowing she was with them & being so well looked after was a big thing for us. When we lost mum back in July, we were at a loss of what we needed to do. We contacted Brunel, spoke to Louise who talked us through the process. Following our appointment where we discussed mum’s wishes, within a blink of an eye the funeral was arranged. We met Chris and he put us at ease assuring us that Mum would be very well looked after in their care. We had arranged a bagpiper to pipe mum into the chapel, Louise and Chris spoke with him and on the day of the funeral, everything went as we wanted, but more importantly how mum wanted it. I’m so glad I chose this company following the death of my grandson . They helped us deal with his death with such empathy and kindness. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel comfortable and at ease . Each and every member of the team acted at all times with the utmost professionalism and were never surprised at the requests that we made no matter how strange ! Not only were they professional but they were amazing and helpful in so many ways i have never had to arrange a funeral on my own before bht they made me feel like i wasnt alone and guided me through anything/everything i had to do as i didnt have a clue i know they really cared and it wasn't just cash/custom for them and i also told them my dad's favourite colour was blue and the day of the funeral they all wore blue ties it meant so so much I cannot recommend these guys enough so caring really amazing people. A friendly, patient and well organised team. Brunel FD were so helpful and supported me with the plans for my mums funeral. Our budget was small but the funeral was just perfect. On the day everything was organised beautifully and ran very smoothly and respectfully. The celebrant recommended to us by BFD was friendly and well organised. He ran the service with a calm measured approach. We had never done anything like this before and BFD guided us through, looked after mum and made the day run without any hitches.

Making that first step to arrange my husbands funeral, from the very first call , I felt the warmth & love , losing him so young and to covid was very traumatic, but Brunel talked me though the process step by step , would ring me just to see how I was coping & if there was anything they could do or help with arranging flowers , sorting music etc , very professional, and fantastic service, not overpriced like some other competitors. Lovely respectful, caring business. Can’t thank you enough.

If I could give more than 5 stars then I would. Joss Clarke was the celebrant for my best friends funeral. The way he dealt with the family from start to finish was incredible. The service was handled so well, I lost count how many times at the wake I had to explain he wasn’t family , or a friend he was the celebrant. I can’t thank Chris enough at Brunel funeral directors for his professionalism & comfort throughout the whole time arranging my grans funeral & arranging slots to see my gran. Nicest bloke you will ever come across in any funeral directors! So warm and comforting about the whole thing. To give my mother in law closure she was allowed to do the final checks over the coffin with chris and all throughout the checks he was so so patient & calming.

From the moment we entered Brunel we felt at ease. Craig was kind, considerate and very professional. He assured us there was no rush and gave us the time we needed over the next few weeks to arrange my mum's funeral how I wanted it. On the day, Chris and his colleagues arrived in plenty of time and were very helpful and patient and helped us fit a car seat.
