I travel to New Orleans almost every week. My coworker and I decided to get gel manicures here. I've never been so humiliated in my life. I wear gel polish over acrylic . I realize they don't do acrylic, however, I was willing to remove the acrylic and just do a gel manicure. The aesthetician immediately told me she couldn't do my nails because when she soaked off the gel polish, it would eat through the acrylic. I let her know that was fine I didn't need the acrylic any more, I'll just have a gel manicure. There was a lot of back and forth and it was finally stated they didn't have the equipment to remove the acrylic which is absurd because if you soak the gel off, it will also remove the acrylic and all you would need is an Emory board to remove any excess. While the staff was friendly and tried to offer other services, I was left feeling like I was the scum of the earth because I had acrylic on my nails. The salon is small so it became public knowledge to everyone in the salon what was going on. I feel like it could have easily been handled more professional and discreet.

Several days ago I made an appointment for a blow out for this morning with a gift card received for my birthday. After being diagnosed with covid yesterday afternoon, I thought it best to cancel. When I called, I got a voicemail. I left a message explaining my situation and requested a call back. This morning I received an email thanking me and using my gift card for the no show. When I called to inquire, I was told they did not have a voicemail. I explained they did because I left a message on one. I was then told that they did but they didn’t check it because it was “full”. I then confirmed that they used my entire gift card for a no show, even though I canceled the appointment. As a side note, I also didn’t confirm via the text message, as I was awaiting test results. Will never go there and will never recommend. As a lifetime local, I was hoping to love it. Unfortunately, I will never know.

Service was so-so. I was slightly overdue for a pedicure (usually get monthly) and didn't have time to get one before my trip to New Orleans so booked this pedicure before a wedding. I chose this place over others with higher average ratings because it had online scheduling. It was a bit of a strange experience. For example, some of my toenails were cut, others were filed, and the rest were not addressed, so I asked if they could all be cut, but then I was asked if I just wanted my big toes cut? It was weird. In the end, my feet looked nice enough for the wedding, but I know I'll need a followup pedicure sooner than I usually do. Would pick a different place next time. Note: the cancellation policy is real, and I did have to pay for 2 pedicures because my husband missed his appointment, but that's his fault, not the salon's and is not the reason for the 3/5.

Made a 1:45p appointment for my husband and I only to arrive and be told they were not able to take both of us at 1:45p we would need to wait until someone finishes with a 2o’clock in order to take the other of us. As a salon director, I know it would be of the utmost respect and consideration to the customer / client to communicate any challenges with their appointments. When I walked in they nonchalantly passed this message on when they had my information to CALL AND INFORM ME OF THIS DISCREPANCY. Management should have a conversation that revolves around communicating with guest and rendering A - Level service to new customers in order to retain and cultivate prospective clientele. For this, I will not be returning. I rather patronize the Asian establishments than to deal with discoordination and unprofessionalism.

I had such a pleasant experience at Buff Beauty Bar during their soft re-opening on June 18th. My pedicure was a pure delight, and I appreciate all the precautions they were taking. They were the first business post-COVID-19 to take my temperature and provide me with an intake form (via email - so easy), which to me means they are taking this very seriously! Good for them. Good for me. And good for their hard-working team. Wishing them the best of luck in the days ahead ❤️❤️

Gorgeous space, awesome staff and wonderful treatments. My only go-to spot for nail services in Louisiana. I'm from San Francisco and the nail technicians experience, attention to detail and overall end result blows our nail industry out of the water. I wish I could visit NOLA on a regular basis to get my nails done here it's that good. Also love their waxing and blow dry bar. They use Lycon wax, the best there is. Did I mention their staff is awesome?? Love them!

I have been going to Buff for a couple of years now. I think it is one of the nicest places in town for mani/pedis. Everyone working there is professional and kind. Katherine has gone out of her way to accommodate my schedule. Charlotte does my nails, and she is an absolute perfectionist and a wonderful person to be around. My nails are always on point. One of the things I like most is that Buff doesn’t do acrylic, so it doesn’t have that chemical smell.

I missed my regular pedicure spot before going on vacation and this was a great recommendation from a friend. All of the staff were friendly and the mani/pedi was great. Carolyn did an amazing job on both my hands and feet. My hand massage almost put me to sleep. The experience was so relaxing. For those who are germaphobe, it is very sanitary I highly recommend it if you are from NOLA or just visiting.

Was In town for an anniversary trip and looking for a manicure. Found this salon at the recommendation of a local and so glad to have found them. I was looked after very well and had the best Gel manicure I have ever had. At home now and nearly 2 weeks later it is still in good condition. I've been going to Buff for waxing by Natalie for years and only wish I would have found it sooner! Making appointments is very easy online and Natalie is always punctual. The service is quick but thorough- exactly what you want when you are getting a wax! I highly recommend if you have been scared to try a wax before or if you are looking for a new place to try!

Visiting NOLA for Labor-day weekend ; I called last minute to book a quick blowout ; let me tell you! I had a great experience. Staff is professional and soooo sooo accommodating and nice. I believe Gaby did my blowout and she did an excellent job. Receptionist was helpful and such a sweet girl! I will definitely recommend Buff Beauty Bar! Thank you

My first time coming here and I never felt so welcomed as I walked through the door! The ladies that are there are very kind and attentive. I had Gaby do a half up half down hairdo and it came out beautiful! I have officially found my all time favorite salon in New Orleans. I definitely recommend this salon to everyone.

I got the best blow out I’ve ever gotten from Kim! I made a last minute appointment and was seen same day. She was very gracious about how long it would take for an end of the day appointment on very long, very curly, and very thick hair. Best salon experience I’ve had of any service. Will definitely be coming back!

Popped in for a blowout while in town for the weekend and so glad I did. Service was great and Kim did an amazing job with my long hair. Only complaint was salon seemed to need a good deep cleaning upstairs and down. Location, price and service were great. I'll be back next time I visit NOLA!

I've lived in so many places and this is hands down my favorite nail salon. Nothing compares. Everytime I come to New Orleans, I HAVE to go. They're all incredibly talent and thorough. My nails are completelt stunning and complimented. It's crazy! Such short nails are suddenly extraordinary.

I brought my daughter in for her first mani pedi and they were so kind and gracious! They made us feel so welcome and Kim was SO sweet to my daughter and gave her the full spa experience! Charlotte did mine and was amazing. We will be back! Amazing service and kindest staff — thank you!

The beauty bar has amazing amenities you can get your hair blow out make up done lashes and wax all in the same place. The girl there are amazing. Very talented young ladies. Definitely worth the service. The blow out are amazing they wash

Very nice eyebrow technician. However, the service was very basic for $25. For example, there was no aloe vera cooling gel after the hot wax. I also couldn’t tell how sanitary it was since there was no paper on the mat between customers.

Better than almost every beauty bar I’ve been to back in NYC. Came here for a lash and brow tint/shape and it was fantastic. The store is very aesthetically pleasing & Kelly was so sweet and paid so much attention to detail.

I got a pedi here. Vontrell was great. I did not feel that she was rushing. She took time on the details and was very nice to me. I was asked if I wanted refreshments and they use glass cups instead of plastic.

Charming little spot. I got my hair blown out by Assata who is absolutely lovely. She did the exact boring blowout I requested and it turned out beautifully. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!
