I explained to Gwyn Lewis, who handled my case, what my financial situation was and where I was up so far with the courts... I was convinced I was going to be disqualified from driving due to how aggressively the police handled the situation at the time. I even entered a guilty plea to both charges against me. I ALMOST DIDN'T CALL A SOLICITOR!!! I knew I was poorly educated on the law and needed advice at this point and contacted several companies that offer similar services. Where does one start when you want to share your story about a company and a man who made a massive impact on your life. Well, it has to be the beginning of the story I guess. Having been driving for nearly 40 years and not having any motoring offences blemishing my licence I made a very, very bad judgement call and committed quite a bad speeding offence and was set for prosecution by the courts, April 2021. Due to the seriousness of the offence I was facing a Ban to which means my job as a delivery driver, my sole income was at risk. If you want a genuine review for this firm, here is mine: desultory at best. Probably in cahoots with GMP is my guess, also. As a woman with a conviction for a really minor offence in the UK, I’m now struggling to find employment and have been for over a year now. This firm, from my experience, is out of touch with the harsh realities of working class life, and makes you feel foolish for being in your predicament. Also, there were many mitigating factors in my case which should have been highlighted in court. Instead, I was pressured into getting an autism diagnosis, at a time when there are incredibly long waiting lists for such. Because the possible diagnosis was so central to the case for mitigation, other issues which ought to have been raised were ignored. I have been advised by another firm that I will now need years of legal assistance to overcome the damaging effects of the case brought against me by GMP. Great.

Initially provided with re-assurance that my case would be handled professionally. Absolutely not what happened, being a young motorist that was caught speeding and sought legal help, I wished to plead guilty in absence and mitigate the offence. Initially everything was on track and I was re-assured that I would get the help I required. However, I received a letter from the court threatening that a warrant for my arrest would be issued if I did not attend my hearing on account of a not-guilty plea! Further to that, Burton Copelands professionalism was dropped and no further help was given, it was apparent that I paid the money and that's all that mattered to them. In the end I received my legal assistance from a well established firm and got the outcome I desired. Be aware, if you are young and require legal motoring assistance I would advise you to look elsewhere. You don't get what you don't pay for.

This was a motoring case, Dangerous Driving, absolutely amazing result once again, couldn't have got a better outcome. Gwyn Lewis represented us and he got a quite amazing result given the circumstances. The ban range was 18 to 24 months and he got it down to 16 months. Gwyn took control of the case, their fees were half of the previous Solictor and the end result was all charges were dropped against me. I couldn’t of been happier and I would highly recommend them.
