It's a fairly large store with lots of travel and automotive safety products to buy. They had a sign on the door apologizing for any delay because of being short staffed, but I found they worked pretty quickly to help everyone! I didn't have to wait too long to be served. The staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. One member who was limited with what she could do, asked everyone if there was something quick she could help with. Although everyone needed complicated paperwork, it was very nice to see her eagerness to help anyone, and actively seeked out customers to help instead of just sitting at the desk. My paperwork was completed promptly and accurately. It was much easier to work with them, than try to fill out the forms online. Not only was it easier, I had my required papers when I walked out! No waiting for it to come in the mail. They may have been short-staffed, but in my opinion, they crushed it with what they had! Now that doesn't mean they don't need more help, it means the staff they have are fantastic.

I have to say today I'm disappointed with CAA. My husband couldn't get his truck started this morning he has to be to work for 7:00 am so he took my vehicle. After speaking with our Dodge dealer tech going through some diagnostics which didn't work, he said "have it towed in". So I called explained the situation to the CAA associate gave them the card number our home address explained hubby classed as essential so he had to be at work still Nope won't come unless he calls in. So I get him to call from work still Nope won't come he has to be here He's been a member since 2011 given our situation with everything else Covid stressors one time they could have come. Instead they tried to sell me membership deals completely unexceptable.

We are CAA members and this was not a good experience. The agent who served us was rude and getting any information from her was like pulling teeth. This woman should not be in the hospitality industry. The "free" handouts available to members were kept behind the counter and not available for browsing. Complete opposite of our experience at the Ottawa branch which was the exact opposite and beyond 5-star. Also, when enquiring about upgrading our membership to include our RV she said she could not help us and told us to call an 800 number because our membership originates from Ottawa which is Eastern region and Kingston falls under South Central region. Bizarre to say the least. Last I knew Kingston was located in Eastern Ontario.

One of their contracted drivers picked up my car after it broke down in a parking lot (at the store owners request). When I went back to pick it up at the store, I had found out what happened. However, no one could tell me where my car was. The agent I spoke with "couldn't tell me" where it was towed, so I asked to speak to a manager. When the manager came on, she said they couldnt track it, as it wasn't towed under an account (that we knew of). BUT, she went above and beyond and started calling their contracted drivers until she found my car. A HUGE thank you to that manager. She really did go out of her way to find my car!

Called just before 2 pm to get a tow. Told the truck would be here within 40 min. Just after 3 pm called again. Told that the original truck could not do call, they are sending another truck, will be there by 3:30 pm. At 3:33 pm get a text indicating the truck has been dispatched, will arrive at 4 pm. At 3:50 pm get a call from the driver that he has another call along the way, which will delay my call. It's a 35 min drive to repair facility and I was hoping to get my car there before they close, I guess it won't happen. Can't blame the drivers -- info from dispatch to customer sucks!

Locked my keys in my truck 2 hours from home with a car full of groceries for my daughter who goes to school in Kingston. It was a very hot day too! The CAA service was excellent, they said they would try to get my call bumped up as I had fresh meat and frozen food in the car (overheating). They were there within 30 mins and unlocked the car in about 2 mins. Thank you for making my out of town trip not a disaster! I have never used any of your services before and this was well worth the money I have spent over the years for a membership.

Nov 12/19.. Today I needed a tow truck to get to the nearest garage. CAA sent me a driver named 'Sterling' (from Kingston) who was the most helpful & knowledgeable driver I have ever met. He was so professional yet was able to make me laugh throughout the process. My extremely stressful day turned into one with an excellent solution and one full of laughter thanks to 'Sterling' and his excellent personality !! Please give Sterling a big thank you and an award or raise or bonus !! People like him are so rare !!!

Chris was the best. She took care of all our cruise plans and had to navigate some tricky items with the cruise line as I had some previous credits that I wanted to use. She was able to have everything transferred to CAA and was able to ensure the cruise price was what I expected. Chris / CAA also provided some additional perks for on the cruise which will be great. She also did an amazing job booking all our air and hotels for pre and post cruise. If you want the absolute best ask for Chris.

Very nice. The minute I walked in the door the girl at the desk asked what she could do to help me. I paid my CAR car insurance and inquired about roadside assistance as I do a lot of driving for work. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was for 1 yr gold member so I signed up and can now have peace of mind as I'm driving around at 3 a.m. delivering my papers not having to worry about being stranded somewhere especially with winter coming. Thanks CAA

Booked an appointment and it was rescheduled for the following week with a phone call, then that appointment was cancelled by email today, a few hours before the appointment and there was no phone call to reschedule. So far I've organized two days of work around this appointment and it still hasn't happened. I'm not looking for a generic reply telling me to contact you to discuss my dissatisfaction, I'm not taking any more time out of my day.

We had a breakdown on our way home from vacation. The CAA tow-truck arrived very quickly (amazing actually), found a service station that was open on a holiday (before coming to get us), diagnosed the problem and got us to a Canadian Tire Centre (on Division St.) that fixed us up immediately - wow what a relief. Thank you so much for the great service. The friendly, chatty driver helped to take our minds off our troubles too. Great service.

So disappointed we were on our way back to Belleville from Brockville. Needed to pick up a money travel pouch thing. Called them to see if they had any. And that we would get there at 4:58pm lady said ok. So we pulled up to building at 4:58pm with doors locked, lights still on and people inside. I could see if we didn’t call, but we did. She could have just said it was to late on phone and save the drive across kingston. Thanks

Ordered trip tiks mid November for trip in December, they said they would take 2weeks to receive by mail. Called 1st week in December, they said I would have that week, called next week they said we would get by our trip. Here it is mid February and we never ever received them. So much for paying to have a membership. Sending in the mail is ridiculous. Maybe you should lower prices if it's not part of the membership anymore.

My uncle bought me a CAA membership for Christmas a few years ago as my car is getting older (2012 Nissan Versa.) I must say it has absolutely come in handy many times just this year alone. You get the Canada wide road side service and discounts at many places including almost every Hotel we have gone to. The local store is great for trip planning and buying things like travel supplies, maps, the staff are very friendly.

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. My muscle car decided to quit on a Saturday night. Pulled over and called CAA. The Tow Truck Operator arrived within 45 minutes. His name was Sterling. Required CAA service today. I could not believe how quickly they responded with a tow truck. Driver fron Jack's Towing Kingston assessed the situation and proceeded on a safe and professional manner to remove our truck from the ditch. Not a scratch, done fast with great idirection from him. Out and back on the road in 20 to 30 minutes from the time of our call. Thanks for the great service!

This CAA is my home base. I stopped by for a trip tick for Newfoundland it was produced as we waited. There are lots of goodies to make your travel better. You can book a trip, get auto insurance, purchase traveler cheques. I spent a lot of time checking out all the neat stuff. Everyone should check it out.

They used to answer their phonecalls, not its just a robot telling you they are too busy to serve you, leave a message. Lot of help that was, you were nowhere to be found when i needed you but you have no issue charging my credit card and i got squat out of it. Visa roadside showed up to do your job.

After state farm sold out to the Quebecers, Des Jardins hiked my insurance over $500/yr without explanation so i checked out CAA and they got my insurance rates back to where they were before, plus i got cheap renters insurance and practically a free membership too.....my mother switched too!

They are just amazing at every turn! Great coverage, plus speedy courteous and service! If you don't have s CAA Membership for your vehicle I suggest you get one immediately! So far I've had to have my car towed and a boost! For $ 100.00 a year you can't beat their price!

I like this place. The agents are well informed. The ATM converting to foreign cash, is so handy! Looking around the store, reminds me of things I may not have considered bringing on a trip. The price points for these items may be a little high, though.

I was a long time customer with no complaints. I tried to return and learned i was classified as a new customer and had to go through their preferred broker. It took them 2 days to call back. By then i already got insurance elsewhere

Donna was very helpful and explained to me what I needed to do in order to obtain an international driving permit. The office/store was a refreshing way to escape from the heat outdoors, and it also had a calm ambiance.

For a car-related company that markets itself as travel agency, they had very limited knowledge about using an International Driving Permit. And 25 dollars for an IDP which takes 10 minutes to issue is a bit steep.
