We live in a society were a single parent on a fix income who has two children with special needs, and one child has asthma, who is trying not to get any financial support from the government. It's put in a corner. My apartment has mold. It was tested by a professional. The health department won't do anything unless the mold it is showing on the walls. If is visible almost to the point of gross negligence. The LA Housing will not take care of it because it falls under the jurisdiction of the LA Health Department. I have to scrape for money to move to another apartment building. I hope and pray that I don't have the same landlord type.There are no laws that protect the weak or less fortune in the USA. The politician sit an talk, and talk but do not nothing. My sons and I might have mold in our system. Oh well one three more less people.... The one's with money have a better live in the USA.

John Lee by far has to be one of the only City officials I have met that truly means what he says. He is down to earth, hands on, regular member of my community who truly does all he can to make this a great neighborhood. Most politicians are full of empty promises, but this one let's his actions speak for him. He and his staff so far more than came through with their pledge to clean up the community blithe I have reported, and take proactive measures to circumvent repeated issues in my neighborhood. I never thought a council member would personally respond to my service requests or follow through with commitments. Thank you and you staff for the outstanding work you do and for making me feel my vote really matters.

one of the most corrupt city representative.they all need help to people that they are connected with.no matter how many supporter you get from the general Community they will not look into it to help you get a permit for a community event, it it is going to disturb one of the office friends of theirs!! a simple letter from one of their friend cancel more than a thousand signature for an event made for the community. the greater good does not count in englanders office. bunch of very young people run the office with no life experience .very rude people the power they got in the office go up to their head.they forgot who they are working for. it is amazing to see how many negative reviews they have!!

Thank you just the same I can not afford a nice home, let alone An apartment I'm a 35-year-old single male, I have no kids And work 12-hour days Also, I serve as a security guard For local businesses in the area at nite My RV is 1999 and worth 20,000 I don't leave trash or have boarded-up windows Let's set up an HoA program of some kind Make us pay a parking permit Let's help each other stop being negative That's our problem.. I'm trying to save As much as I can My mom has a lot of health problems She can't walk and just does Uber.. These are the words of an honest man..

I tried to call Mr Englanders office about an issue I had with parking at my residence After several failed attempts I finally got a call back from someone in his office. The lady was very rude and snappy, after I explained my concern to her, her response was ( Mr. Englander is too busy with small pity complaints like this ) I think he is your typical politician who cares about only himself and his pocket book.

Mitch Englander was the only member of the Los Angeles City Council who voted against the LA Justice Fund, which will guarantee undocumented angelenos receive legal representation in deportation proceedings. Fortunately, saner heads like my rep Mitch O'Farrell were in the majority and the measure passed 11-1 in spite of Englander's opposition.

John Lee needs to resign. He should have been indicted as a co-conspirator with his old boss Mitch Englander who went to prison. What’s even worse is his total incompetence and lack of vision for CD12. He only exists to enrich himself and people who donate to him.
