First of all highly upset, I come into the store frequently to get little snacks and things Lately, there has been this big white guy right in front of the store always watching. I think he does it to the Black people because one time I walked in the store. not even two seconds in the store he asked me is there anything he can help me with . Today I walk into the store just to get a bag of chips. I noticed the same guy and I noticed him staring at me. I go and get my chips and I go to self check out the same white guy big belly looking at me comes over telling me hey you have more than one item in your bag. It’s like excuse me, sir did you see me with more than one item I noticed he was staring at me from the beginning when I walked into the store, the register is not saying I have more than one item in my bag. Why are you walking up behind me trying to check my bag for more than one item he was incorrect and did not even apologize , I feel very uncomfortable every time I go into the store because of this particular person and what he’s doing, to I feel is people of color and assuming that we’re stealing when we’re not.
Today I went to CVS to purchase gift wrapping items and a case of beer. First, the store smelled strongly of body odor and mildew. Second, upon checking out the cashier Amanda, was very rude and disrespectful when asking for identification. When price was asked about because it was on sale we were not prompted for our CVS reward information but instead with the cashier rolling her eyes and angrily canceling the transaction and agitatedly waiting for us to enter phone numbers. As a local resident and someone who frequents this location I can sincerely say that I will no longer be a patron if this is the customer service I receive. We were not rude or impatient so I’m unsure of what prompted the cashiers behavior.
First off, teach your management not to be judgemental. Not all blacks steal, we are actually the hardest working people on the planet and the most spenders. After working a shift at the hospital, I needed to make a stop to buy some pads. This white guy, the manager had the nerves to stop what he was doing, just to watch me shop for my pads and soaps.I had a small back pack on like any nurse or medical personnel would and it was on my back the whole time. It was rude and uncomfortable. I will never shop there again. The prices for the low quality things, I would have gotten better products anyways at Target. Situations like this needs to be brought to light.
Just left the store, Manager was very rude. Asked for a balloon, after already standing in line with people not wearing mask for more than 10 minutes. Manager refused to go back and select any balloon for me when I told her it did not matter, as she wanted me to get out of line. Woman with the confederate flag mask probably has some implicit biases and micro aggressions she needs to deal with. Completely unprofessional. Update: woman was not the main manager on duty. Spoke to the manager and he said that she could have assisted me but chose not to. Choose another CVS especially if your black. Employees wearing the confederate flag make me uncomfortable.
Great and easy, i love coming here for a simple quick snack or drink. Friendly staff and clean store. I highly recommend coming here if you are visiting and need any nessesities. It is a east walk from any downtown hotel, office, or space you may be using. I come here almost every other day and I have yet to have any issues whatsoever. CVS is a 10/10 in this Tampa location, come check it out, it even has a Digitial Design Center as well. Plus plenty of greeting cards for that last minute anniversary or birthday you might need.
I love visiting CVS when I go to the States to buy Cheetos, sweets and gifts to bring home to England. This one wasn't as big as some I've visited but there was a good range of Florida gifts, including postcards and fridge magnets. We visited in late November, so there was also a good selection of Christmas gifts; including Snoopy/Peanuts branded items. The person at the checkout was fast and friendly and that's why I've given a 5-star rating.
I went to this CVS for skin care products. One of the employees was very rude. Only one of the employees seemed to have Customer Service skills. When I got home with my product, I noticed that it has been expired for almost a year. I had to go back to the store to deal with the same employees. Maybe there should be a manager that makes the employees spend more time checking the expiration date on their products and being nicer to customers.
Great Location! I have worked with 220 Madison since January of 2019 and have had several interactions with both management and staff members throughout this past year. They're always friendly and very helpful. Great selections with wine and good pricing! I do however, wish it had a pharmacy/minute clinic as I'm sure many other local downtowners do too. I love having CVS as our neighbors and look forward to seeing them each day!
As mentioned in previous reviews there is no pharmacy at this CVS location. It is more of a convenience store that caters to people who are in downtown Tampa during the day. Prices are better than nearby hotel and office building deli and sundry shops. I haven't had any issues with the employees. My experience is they are efficient, friendly and want to help. Store is busy around lunch time but you will get out quickly enough.
THE WORST CVS in all of Tampa. This place views it's customers as a bother to whatever else they may want to be doing (talking on their phone, stocking shelves, anything but checking out customers.) I have be in lines that stretched half way down the isles and have complained to the manager over and over again. No one in this store seems to care.
No pharmacy, no issues with the staff (they all seemed very nice), odd selection of items. Last few times I came in the lights seemed like they had been turned down(?) and it was weirdly dark inside. There also seemed to be no AC or it was running on a minimal level. Came in for snacks on a break and left empty handed due to the odd selection.
It is CVS and it is convenient. They stock a wide variety of things that you just might need such as batteries, candy, soda, cards, water, and yes even BEER. I have had to pop into here to pick up everything from headache medicine to eyeglass readers. Check out is fast but they can get pretty busy at lunchtime, so be advised.
Your hours of operation should read ‘Why Bother?’. The only CVS within walking distance in greater Downtown Tampa and they close at 9pm M-F, 6pm on Saturday (that’s a joke right?) and 3pm on Sunday.. The DMV has better hours. Just close and let a real business like Walgreens or Rite Aid come in.
NO PHARMACY AT THIS LOCATION, (most of the pharmacies in area close early, FYI. Small location with few items similar to that of a quick mart. Some of the staff is helpful were as on another you can get ignored the entire time. However does carry some seasonal items for tourist.
A good pharmacy with above average variety. The only bad point, they close early 18:00 for Rx service and 19:00 for the store on weekdays, forget about weekends. I know that the business area is quiet but I didn't know it was that bad.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Staff does not work well under high volume. Staff needs an attitude adjustment or a completely new staff. Very wishy washy when it comes to giving cash back. Management doesn't seem to care. Yikes.
I frequent this location 1-2 times a week. I like the staff, they are always nice to me. There is no pharmacy here, and it's small for a CVS, but it has a lot of stuff nobody else has within close walking distance.
A CVS já teve dias melhores... A experiência nesta loja foi "ok" e nada mais. Muitos produtos largados pelos corredores, produtos sem preço, e etc. Para uma passada rápida, ok.
Mercedes at the front counter was FABULOUS!! She is happy, friendly, almost... effervescent! Thanks for making a quit stop for a phone charger 5 minutes of dancing fun!!
As others have said, this place is awesome for basic household needs, a quick snack or drink. I only wish it had a pharmacy so I could walk to pick up my prescriptions!
Wish they had more of a selection of baby items like wipes, formula, etc. Should open earlier than 9 on Sunday be open later at night. Great customer service.
Great customer service, clean and professional atmosphere, wish they had a pharmacy so I could make it my one stop location for all pharmaceutical needs
Best cvs ever! Great prices and it's a cute little place. Love that it doesn't look so generic like all the other CVS around. Good variety of products.
This is the closest CVS to where I live. Great location. Staff is very helpful. I wish they had a minute clinic and a pharmacy at this location.
This is NOT a pharmacy. No pharmacy here. Only a CVS convenience store. Do not bring your prescriptions here expecting to have them filled.
Gregory Elie gave me my vaccine and he was efficient, thorough, as well as personable. Great staff here and well managed operation.
I was able to find what I wanted. The prices were reasonable after the ExtraBucks discounts. The Staff are friendly and responsive.
Don’t waste you’re time walking here if you live nearby.... it’s never open closes at like 5pm …
Poor customer service. I’ve noticed that they’re all rude to customers. I’ll take my money to Walgreens I guess.
Went to buy water but was surprised there was no water stocked in the shelves only flavored water bottles.
Friendly staff and convenient location. Would like to see a pharmacy as there is not one in downtown.
Worst cvs in tampa...... Bad attitudes. Horrible customers services. Treat people like crap......
Great location close to my office. Helpful staff. It would be great if they had a pharmacy.
Never been in the store, but this CVS Pharmacy does NOT have a pharmacy.
Nice store friendly cashiers prices a little high bit convenient love it
Today I went to buy batteries for my friends dinosaur suite.
There is mold in the coolers where the drinks are stored.
No pharmacy at this location. Small selection of goods.
Super convienent location next to work. Friendly staff.
If you’re not walking don’t waste time on this location
Great central Downtown Tampa location. Friendly staff.
Awful staff, making up rules and profiling customers
No subscription drugs available to pick up... Bad.
Please be aware. There is no pharmacy.
Didn't have what I wanted
