This is the worst experience of my life with this lawyer. Took a case in which should have never taken fought for 3 years and last day without telling me ....changed the reason of the goal we were fighting for..... the judge saw the last minute flip and we lost the case after says we would have not won if went other way.....but why took the case if you knew we would have lost it....why didn't you tell me before you took my money....probably to cash in money for his cabinet that's all. But with this action ruined a family for life financially thank-You. I am a client for this lawyer and have all the bills to prove it. I did win my case at the board because wanted to charge me an extra amount in which was reimbursed by is cabinet..... Any fight can go both ways but when the lawyer switches the goal of the fight on the last day unacceptable this is why i give my review. C'est la pire expérience de ma vie avec cet avocat. A pris un cas dans lequel ne devait jamais avoir pris combattu depuis 3 ans et dernier jour sans rien me dire ...il a changé la raison du but pour lequel nous nous battions et que je le payais ..... le juge a vu a la dernière minute le **flip** et nous avons perdu le procès après il a dit que nous n'aurions pas gagné meme si nousy aurions ete autrement ..... mais pourquoi avez-vous pris le cas si vous saviez que nous l'aurions perdu .... pourquoi ne m'avez-vous pas dit avant de prendre mon argent .... probablement pour gagner de l'argent pour son cabinet, c'est tout. Mais avec cette action ruiné une famille pour la VIE financièrement merci. Je suis client pour cet avocat et j’ai toutes les factures pour le prouver. J’ai aussi gagné mon cas au barreau étant quil voulait en plus me faire payer un montant supplémentaire dans lequel a été annuller pour moi et il a du me remboursé par dessus...N’importe quel combat peut aller des deux cotes, mais lorsque l’avocat bascule de l’objectif de la lutte sans men aviser sur le dernier jour inacceptable, c’est pourquoi je donne mon avis =======================================================

we had a nightmarish experience. Had they informed us of the true status of our claim we would never have pursued, spending $30K to get a paltry $7.5K settlement. The process was dragged out to the final possible moment, 5 YEARS. Our file was in limbo when one lawyer left and no one informed us. They made a huge error on the calculation of the settlement and we were only advised a month or so before going to court. THEY DID NOT PREPARE OR DEPOSE ANY OF THE WITNESSES prior to going to court and the key witness' testimony did not reflect the actual events, so we lost the case. They were preparing for the court case the day prior and II had to resend all the documents, emails etc and they had do re-do the calculations for the settlement the day prior to the case. The lawyer assigned to the case was new and not informed on the case, he did the best he could but he was not practiced in court and did not take advantage of the witness' statements.

Getting divorced is by far the most impactful decision of my life and the process was the most stressful, turbulent and painful experience I’ve had to endure. My attorney at Gelber Liverman, Luise Arrais, made me feel like I didn’t have to worry. There was not a moment of doubt when it came to the handling of the process. Mrs Arrais’ knowledge is tremendously impressive. Not once was there a “let me check” moment. She had answers for every question. Her supporting staff is also outstanding. Like in most cases where a lawyer is needed, it is usually not for a good/positive reason. This was my situation. However, my proceedings have been practically pleasant thanks to this firm. Over the last 3 years they have continued to demonstrate above and beyond professionalism and respect, I never felt like just a number. Expectations were correctly set at every stage, clear communication, and follow-ups prompt. In my particular case, a victorious outcome. I used Liverman for an estate problem. He said we could call him directly and would take the case himself. I got 4 différents lawyers dealing with my case on 4 years. I paid 17 000$ to be told it has been settled out of court but don't feel comfortable settling....He then stop answering calls, emails and messages. Called they office many times no success.... Exorbitant prices to then Being ignored and left to seek a other lawyer to finish he’s job!
