I recently visited Cafe Mocha by Barista and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere in this cafe is really great, making it a good place to work and study. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with comfortable seating and a relaxed vibe. I tried their watermelon juice, but I must admit, it didn't taste as fresh as I had hoped. It lacked the vibrant and refreshing flavor I associate with freshly squeezed juices. This was a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to a rejuvenating drink. On the bright side, the lasagna I ordered was a pleasant surprise. It was really tasty and had a delicious blend of flavors. However, I did find it a tad expensive for the portion size. Nonetheless, the quality was good, so it was worth the indulgence. I also sampled their bagels, and they were a highlight of the meal. They were very crispy and had a delightful taste. If you're a bagel lover, you won't be disappointed. In summary, Cafe Mocha by Barista offers a great atmosphere for working and studying, along with some tasty options on the menu. While the watermelon juice and pricing of certain items were a bit of a letdown, the bagels and lasagna were definitely worth trying. I'd recommend giving this cafe a visit for a cozy study or work session with some delicious snacks.

Their services are invaluable, because I say so recently, me and my friends went to the place for an educational purpose and I am grateful to say so as a real appreciation to the staff who have extended their support immensely. I have been visiting this place for years. Their prices for coffee and some foods are very reasonable. Some may be not. (Example - Egg Salad Sandwich is my favorite and is very reasonably priced. The chicken rise did not have much chicken) The food is delicious though. The place seems to be not so well maintained. Needs a major renovation in the downstairs.

First of all, the location itself is tricky. The door has no name of the shop and one might trip and fall down as there's a raised step at the door. The place is almost always full with people working on their laptops. They have seating in the upper & lower levels. Ambience is bad with weak air-conditioning. The water leaks from the AC unit. May be temps at about 30°C inside. The music was quite loud with beats, just takes the "cafe" vibe out of it. And there were flies. Staff needs a lot of training. Slow service. They don't even bother to greet the customers. It took them literally 18mins to serve me a piece of cake that I ordered and paid for it to my table which was about 10 feet from the counter. Toilets have a waiting line. I guess only one in premises. Didn't want to use it.

We've visited this place a few times, and unfortunately, the waiting time is consistently long, often exceeding 45 to 50 minutes for a coffee. Despite having enough staff, the coordination seems lacking. Today's experience was especially disappointing. We had to wait 10-15 minutes just to find a seat. Shockingly, one team member confirmed no available seating. The front couch springs were damaged, adding to the discomfort. Moreover, the security person was exceptionally rude. Due to the lack of seating, we parked our vehicle on the opposite side near the temple road and opted for another coffee shop. Ironically, the security officer blamed us for parking in a public spot. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this place due to the unpleasant experience.

loved the ambience, vibe and the staff's excellence service. they were very friendly, and even to the extent, they refilled the olu bottle with their RO water, we bought there. We spent around 8hrs there. They didn't questioned ourselves. You can get the WiFi password, and the meeting room with a white board if you want. Aware of the prices before. But, worth for the price. Foods were good, but iced coffee/tea were absolutely terrible, was too watery, not very thicker. Other than that all were good.

Worst service and food ever had in the recent cafe encounters in Colombo. There were more than 10 staff standing in the kitchen area rushing for nothing. Sandwich we ordered served cold after 30 minutes from order. Flies everywhere. 5 flies were on my plate. Serious Health and Safety concern at this place. Too cluttered and messy. When complained to a little school boy like person at the till, he was like “yeah flies are here everywhere, what to do..” tone. Management should place a trained persons in coffee shops. Customers lined up to complain for their food delays and shouted to get their orders. What a mess for the brand. Never recommend this place. Zero professional conduct. Zero customer service. Zero food quality.

This is one of the best places to have your business meeting or study sessions if you want a cafe which has a nice atmosphere. We spend around 4 hours there and since we went on a Sunday evening, it was a bit crowded. We ordered strawberry mojito, watermelon juice, creamy chicken pasta, mushroom waffle and chocolate sauce waffle. Out of them mushroom waffle was the best and after seeing the delicious dish we forgot to take a picture also that’s why it’s not in my review pictures. The prices are also not bad compared to the portions and tasty of the food. We didn’t like chocolate sauce waffle a bit since it was too sweet for us. Creamy chicken pasta was also delicious compared to other cafes. Overall, I would say this is one of the best places to hang around since they have good food and a nice surrounding.

The interior is super modern chic with a variety of seating arrangements from comfort to more official. The ambience is calm and chill. The staff was friendly, welcoming and was okay with us having a fantasy shoot there. The food was tasty and appropriately priced for really good portions. I got the cookie shake.

Terrible service, I have been coming here for years, at least once a week to work. Awfully slow service and the service staff doesn't follow instructions. Really disappointing. It's a shame, because I really like the ambiance and it's a good place to work. They never have tissues in the washrooms, which is the most basic thing to have. Every Saturday by afternoon, they'd run out of the tissue roll but fails to keep a new one. The staff is very inexperienced.

It's a nice Cafe. They have made several different seating arrangements for people to talk or work in privacy while enjoying some good coffee, cake, etc. I loved the cold cheese cake (I think it was unbaked). They have parking in front of the store, friendly security man to assist with a smile, free wifi, accept credit cards and have a clean toilet. For improvements I would like to see some vegetarian items added to the menu apart from the spicy polos (baby jackfruit) and pol sambol, cheese sandwich toast. Staff are friendly, but service is little slow.

The service itself was great; the barista had a smile on her face throughout. However, the coffee was not as hot as expected; within a few minutes, it had turned cold. We also ordered a slice of brownie with cheesecake, which almost tasted like soap. I've enjoyed their sandwiches and other items at different Barista locations, but on this particular day at this specific spot, the coffee and the food weren't up to par. Additionally, the place was very crowded, and there was barely enough space to occupy.

A super chill place to work at. The ambience is great and the food is not bad either. I got the special lunch deal with Lemongrass Chicken Rice and the Iced Latte. The rice was well cooked and the chicken was tender and the lemongrass was singing in the curry. Good dish. Avoid the iced latte. Was super watery and not a pleasant at all. I recommend the cappuccino instead if you're ordering the lunch deal. Will surely visit again if I get the chance to chill and work

One of the best outlets of Barista and it has the best ambience compared to the other coffee shops. Love their interior and the new setting. It's quite a good place to hangout with bunch of friends or to read a book while grabbing a coffee.Good sandwiches. Nice strong coffee. They have a breakfast deal of a nicely grilled sandwich and a decent cup of coffee or pot of tea for Rs.250 to Rs.300 that is hard to beat. The staff is friendly and supportive.

Stay away from this place.. Being a customer for years from Australia and I am really disappointed with the food quality. the Muffin was horrible, it’s dry and old. It’s shocking that the food quality has gone bad to worse. The management has to step up and over look the venue since the Air condition wasn’t working plus the washrooms are dirty and no body cares.. it’s really disappointing, and I never recommend to anyone.

I have been to this place multiple times. Highly recommended if you want to get some work done. They have many power outlets to charge laptops, plug routers, charge phones etc. At certain times it can get crowded and noisy(depending on the people who come). Food is great but a bit expensive for what you get. If you plan to stay for a long time here to work on something, this is a excellent spot .

Super easy to work/study here. The ambient music isn’t too loud and seating placement is quite good. Ofcourse the coffee/food and their pricing is pretty decent. Miles better than 90% of other cafes to work at.

My friends and I love going here after college! Really nice interior with a warm feeling through the space. They have a great lunch deal which is ideal for students on a budget. My favorite meal on the menu is the Chicken lasagna. Really filling and the taste is perfection! Staff is also extremely polite and helpful.

This is my favourite place to hang out! Great food and service all around. Vinod's service was fantastic. Great hot chocolate!

Love their place. Has an wood and brick feel to it, literally! Amazing hosts for Book Swap Colombo event as they want to promote art and literature. Highly recommended as event hosts as they have some really good packages.

Good place for work and study. However, AC is not working properly (Upstairs).

Love their ambience and calm place structure. Good place to hang out with friends and work buddys. Food is great along with their shakes. They have power sockets , where you can charge your laptop and continue working.

Overall this is a very cozy place to enjoy a smooth coffee. The set up reminds of a vintage hangout joint. They have a good selection of beverages and food. Good for meetings as well as hanging out with friends.

A personal memorable location, frequently visiting and never disappointed with the service or quality of the dishes, coffee as usual an original Barista it is. Thank you for the superb service and help guys.

Spacious and cozy. I feel they can make the interior/ ambience bit better because the BARISTA vibe isn’t there here.

Great place to work while having some good food. Staff is very friendly and they serve well. A/C on second floor is little less. So if you want good AC make sure you have a spot in the ground floor.

One of the very closest and peaceful coffee shop. Can be work Independent with a cup of coffee. Pleasant staffs. Worth for money. Recommended. Can spend time here without any rush.

Always have better atmosphere to work, hangout and the crowd is not specific to one generation or social class. Wifi is available and spacious with a designated smoking area

This is a really good place if you are looking for a peaceful place to stay and do your work. Atmosphere is really good and the food and beverages are really good too.

Ambient place to sit and do some work or study. Quiet atmosphere and jazz BGM. Very good staff who are helpful.

Food was alright. Service was good. There were many flies hovering over food. Thus cannot give five stars.

The rice tasted a bit old and too dry. The meatballs were yucky. Need improvements in every aspect here.
