I’ve lived in Austin for over ten years & tried at least 50+ coffee shops. This is one of my absolute FAVORITES. It’s an authentic, unique experience. I’d never tried Cuban coffee nor pastries before—after my visit here I fell madly in love with them! Recs: the guava pastry & cuban coffee/espresso.
I've been wanting to try this place out, and it did not disappoint. I loved my breakfast (coffee and a yummy pastry that was recommended by the owner) so much that I grabbed a fancy canned soda and a spinach and cheese empanda to go. It's such a cute little spot, will def revisit again. More
I'm visiting from good ol Atlanta, and I wish we had this shop there. It's a small shop but powerful with all they do. From the boldness of the coffee to the pure delight you get from eating the pastries. Add on exceptional service and this is the spot to go! Highly recommend More
We tried Cafe Nena’i for the first time and are already looking forward to coming back! The cortadito was smooth, rich, and sweet. We also really enjoyed the empanada de pollo with their chimichurri (very flavorful and lots of meat), arepa
I highly recommend visiting Cafe Nena'i if you want to enjoy a delicious coffee in the morning and indulge in a delightful South American breakfast treat. During my visit, I tried their Cafe Con Leche and absolutely loved it. Additionally,
Let me start by saying that this place is underrated. This is a beautiful little south American coffee joint, very clean, amazing interior decor, fantastic empanadas and mind-blowing Cuban coffee. The place is run by one of the best people
I'm not a local, but this seems like a special secret locals have figured out. An easy drive from hotels close to the airport, this was a lovely breakfast. I got the best coffee I've had in months, a balanced roast and milk whipped into a
Cafe Nena'i has some of the most delicious empanadas and pastries I've had in Austin. I've had my eye on it since it opened and it's the perfect addition to the east side! I wish the shop was located a little closer to the center of town
The dough was somewhat undercooked, which was disappointing. And without a chimicurri or acidic element (not available the day we went there), the food was a bit lackluster. There aren't a lot of South American snack options around, so I
Quaint little cafe with some interesting (and delicious) food. I tried the jamon y queso empanada and a cafe con leche. The coffee was just absolutely perfect. No sugar added, just as it is (if you like, but it totally doesn't need
This place is so cute and they play the best salsa music! I order un cafecito con oat milk, empanada de jamon y queso y un alfajor. I highly recommend here for breakfast or un cafecito! Follow me on IG: @hola.es.paola for more! More
Cafe Nena'i (pronounced ne-na-ee and not ne-nai) is a wonderful place and Elena is a wonderful host who is willing to talk with customers who understand and respect the difficulties facing a small business during these times.
I enjoyed my experience here. It’s got a Latin energy. Empanadas and some other staples. I had a simple cafecito - espresso and sugar. It was good! Service was quick and friendly. I’m looking forward to stopping in again.
Great little cafe. We enjoyed the empanadas and the alfarjos! The location is far out, but it’s super cosy and nice. It is a small cafe and only two people working there so the serving time is small. Authentic experience.
A great cafe tucked away in southern east Austin! I received great service, my Americano was great, and my pastry was nice and flaky. It has an inviting and warm atmosphere and you're sure to feel at home here. More
what a quaint little cafe! the charm is off the charts here and on top of that they have delicious empanadas, pastries, and coffee. what a delight, make sure you stop in and give this gem a try! More
Very good-quality and properly-filled empanadas. It's a labor-intensive and handmade product, so pricing is understandable. Just wish I could get the green chimichurri sauce with every order. More
Quaint and wonderful! Perfect natural lighting. Enjoyed delicious drinks and eats. Wish it was closer in town! Telling all my friends about it! Adorable, welcoming and peaceful!
We really enjoyed the food. We've gone multiple days in a row during our stay. Elena is so sweet, cheerful and kind. She made us feel so welcome and filled our tummies! More
The coffee is delicious, the croissant is the perfect amount of crispy, flaky, and buttery, and once you combine all of that with the ham and cheese you've got a winner!
Excellent, good ambiance . Arepas are delicious . Café and chocolate are so good . The staff very friendly . Definitively need to go again when I come back to Austin .
Best cuban caffe in town . Super friendly staff and beautiful shop. Love their empanadas and guava pastry. Since my first visit and had gone back multiple times now.
A total hidden gem! Beautifully crafted, delicious pastries, yummy coffee and the empanadas are so good we had another. Very authentic feel. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic South American Cafe on the east side, especially if you like pastries and empanadas. Good coffee too. Very cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!
We had jamon and queso empanadas—I wish we would’ve purchased more, they were so delicious. Very friendly. Cute spot, but made more for take out. More
Very good desserts and cocido, a sweet hot drink with mate. The owner Elena is great, very friendly. Try the empanadas and the chipa guazu.
Empanadas are amazing! I absolutely love the guava pastries.
