If you are British and looking for an unfriendly welcome, this place is for you. We were surprised to see a table free so went in, and very soon realised the reason why this place was so quiet. Had one drink, which was served with judgement of our choice in ordering a large Heineken, then got to speak with others who came in after us. We all felt unwelcome and didn’t hang around. Honestly believe this must have been an immersive experience where your aim is to get told off and so not have a good time, we just weren’t expecting it and found it very bizarre….

Smaller Pub but always a great atmosphere! Bartender always has a great attitude and knows the area, happy to help. Good selection of beers on tap, good selection of bottled beers, and liquors. Definitly one of my go to spots when I am in Amsterdam. Remember Heineken is king in Amsterdam. Usually playing Rock and Roll. A local favorite.

One of the only bars in Amsterdam where you can sit up at the bar and almost immediately start shooting the breeze with the locals. I stayed at this bar for a couple of drinks and some good company. Turns out some of the locals here have great taste in music. Definitely happy to go back to Cage Pleinzicht next time.

The Middle Aged bartender is a horrible person who kicked us out for using the restrooms before getting a drink. I attempted to explained that we were planning on staying for a few drinks, however, she shouted at us multiple times at us in front of everyone. No manners. Never been treated like this in my life…

Incredibly terrible experience. Have been to this place several times, then show up supporting friends on Pride Day and was asked to leave not only from staff, but customers as well. Very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone wanting the Amsterdam experience.

Erg gezellig Amsterdams bruin café. Je kunt alleen met cash betalen. Je mag niet met je glas naar buiten om te roken. Maar dat mag bijna nergens op de Wallen. Barmedewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en nemen de tijd voor een praatje.

We loved this place! Nice selection of drinks and great atmosphere. Both bartenders were great when we went (we went everyday we were there). Customers are also a ton of fun. Can’t wait to come back here when we return

Went to sit down on the bench outside to find my money to go in to buy a meal, owner came out screaming at me over and over "For customers" causing large groups of people to stop and look at us. Was highly embarrassed.

Kwam hier graag zo'n 35 jaar geleden. Ga binnenkort weer eens langs. Was vroeger super met Greet. Gezellig, geen gedonder. Voor iedereen aan te raden. Afgaande op hedendaagse recenties is er nix veranderd.

Mega gezellig kroegje, goeie service en muziek! Top eigenaar en er wordt goed opgelet wat er allemaal speelt. Ook als het druk is. Ik voel me er veilig.

Very unfriendly staff. Coffee was cold and the Beer tasted awful and we had to wait 20 Minutes. There was still lipstick at our Glases. Never again!!!
