Seemed like a lovely little cafe, lots of cakes but all I wanted was a drink and I kept getting asked, is that it? Don't you want anything else. I came from another city and was meeting an old school friend for a couple of hours. And every so often was asked if we want food as they preparing for lunch time, so they basically wanted us to leave.yet there were still a few empty tables. I was also short changed, so not impressed. Looks like quite a few people have had the same bad experience of rude owner. Even my children thought this was rude. So my friend and i had to cut our catch up short and leave. This is not good service to make people feel uncomfortable just because they only want a drink? The lady in the kitchen was lovely but the male owner was rude, I don't think I will go back I need to find another coffee shop where it is more relaxed and not pushing to buy more even when enough tables for others.

Myself and my daughter visited the cafe this morning for breakfast, the service was fast and the food was lovely however we noticed a sign which said cash only. I sent my daughter to the nearby cash machine to draw out some money while I waited in the cafe and finnished my coffee. I asked the lady that cooked the food for the bill and thanked her for the lovely food. As my daughter came back she had the cash in her hand and as she headed towards me, the man who I assumed was the owner snatched the money from her hand and counted it out informing her we owed £26.30. I found this extremely rude he then came over with our change on a plate and we left. I wasn't going to leave a tip after that and we won't be going back.

Terrible experience. I was told to move from my seat at the front of the cafe to move to the corner, a member of staff then went on drag my baby cousin across the room In the high chair provided without permission. Then when I explained that was wrong dragged the the high chair back with the baby still sat in the high chair. Shortly after someone else of a different race was sat in the same seat with no problems at all. I couldn’t help but to take this as a discriminatory act. Especially because of the manner the man had spoken too me in. Would not go again 0 stars from me.

Went in for tea and cake and thought I'd try the vegan lemon cake. Thankfully I'm not actually vegan because it was served with ice cream and whipped cream so I'm not sure they understand what vegan is! It was also quite pricey (£8) and they only took cash which was not obvious initially. I couldn't see a price list in the cafe but the website says £3.90 for cake which would mean £4.10 for tea?! Overall it was a bit disappointing. Some of the food looked nice but not sure I would go again.

Looked so nice from the outside. Had to leave before eating due to the rudeness of the owner. He physically and aggressively moved the high chair my baby was sitting in without my say so, because he wasnt happy with where we were sitting near the window and wanted us to move into the corner. I didnt realise my buggy was blocking the fire exit, all he had to do was ask me kindly to move my buggy rather than moving me and my child in such a horrible way. He was incredibly rude, will not be returning again

Always great service and great food. A little on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for! Highly recommended.

The lady making the food was lovely and the food tasted beautiful. The gentleman who I believe to be the owner he was sat in the cafe making phone calls and whilst we were talking to the lady waitress he banged down on the table really loud to say we were being too noisy and I found it to be really rude. He wasn't very welcoming or pleasant. If he didn't want noise in the background then he should have made phone calls privately in the back.

popped in here for a quick lunch & was properly blown away. I had the grilled lamb salad wrap...honestly, I can't wait to come back here for another one. it absolutely burst with flavour. wonderfully fresh ingredients. everything was spot on. same goes for the coffee, too. also...just a generally really nice vibe. doesn't feel like you're in Pudsey (not that there's anything wrong with Pudsey). will definitely be back! fast service, too.

It is worth 1 star. 2 stars only because it was very clean. I ordered latte and a big muffin. £5. The latte was terrible, I didn't know what kind of coffee and he used. At the top there was just foam and not creamy milk. The milk was so strong I thought he used goat milk. I left more than 3 quarters of latte there. The muffin was warm but dry inside. Probably was two, three days old.

Came in at around 11:45 to be told they were only doing lunch and not drinks, which I find very strange considering they are a cafe, the guy in there was quite abrupt and one other customer stated that he had been quite rude throughout their visit….. 10/10 will NOT be visiting cafe rain again if that’s the way they do business

Won't go into to much detail Partners 7 month pregnant asked to use the toilet as she couldn't hold it anymore owner or whoever worked there said NO customers only she begged please as was pregnant he looked and said NO again What a disgusting way to treat a pregnant woman I'd never go here again

Tried this place a few times now and won't be trying again. Every time there is some sort of problem. Why state you open till 6 if you actually close at 15.30? Who doesn't take card in this day and age? Why insist that I have ice-cream on my cake if I don't want it?

My dad was being treated at the medical centre and I called at Cafe Rain for a coffee while I waited. The owner was polite, welcoming and gave me a piece of their lemon cake on the house to try. Without knowing, they made what could have been an awful day so much nicer. A friendly place I would more than recommend.

Best cakes around! Absolutely love this place. The owners and staff are fantastic, the gentleman always makes a big fuss of us and is great with my mother in law. The food is always spot on. Great place, wouldn't go anywhere else in Pudsey. Thank you all for your fantastic service, we really appreciate it.

Visited cafe rain today with family and freind.quick visit today were made to feel very welcome. Really friendly town centre coffee shop with good breakfast and lunch menus. Americano (good) and teacake for £5. Very nice, didn't break bank. No obvious WiFi. Will call again when in Pudsey.

Just popped in for a coffee. Coffee was ok, not brilliant not terrible. Served quickly, clean place with comfy chairs to sit on. £2.60 for a latte, standard coffee shop prices.

Nice cosy little cafe in the heart of Pudsey. Quick lunch date with my mum. Both ordered a baked potato, which comes with a side salad & coleslaw & a selection of dips.

Had a lovely welcome from the gentleman who served us, beautiful food, very chilled atmosphere and the music was very relaxing. Will definitely be back at some point
