The waitress (old blonde woman) was obnoxious. I even wondered if it was racism, she wasn't so rude to other (white) people. She asked us to sit on a really small table (we were 3 people) while we were seated next to another group on a large table, luckily the group insisted that we stay next to them. Then she didn't give us time to think and came to take the order. My sister having not decided yet, we ordered for 2 people first, and she almost yelled at us, telling us that it was not a park and that we had to order for our whole group, otherwise we had to leave (Other reviews tell the same experience if you don't believe us) . I also specify that at this time, there was a very big storm with parasols which had flown away and objects which fell from the balconies. Before this storm, we had planned to go to another cafe, better rated but further : we should have taken the rain and gone, given this disastrous experience.

HORRENDOUS PLACE!!! I recently went there by chance and I found a VERY DISRESPECTFUL OWNER just because two of us only ordered a coffee and "didn't spend enough money". In a short time, she told us TO LEAVE IMMEDIATELY in Italian as if we didn't understand it just because we were foreigners with rude gestures. On top of that, the COFFEE was MEDIOCRE and the stablishment had BAD HYGIENE. Definitely a TOURIST TRAP and a SCAM. UN LUGAR HORROROSO!!! Recientemente fui allí por casualidad y me encontré con una PROPIETARIA MUY IRRESPETUOSA solo porque dos de nosotros únicamente pedimos un café y "no gastamos suficiente dinero". Nada mas bebernos el café, nos dijo que SALIÉRAMOS INMEDIATAMENTE del local en italiano como si no lo entendiéramos por ser extranjeros, con gestos groseros. Por si no fuera suficiente, el CAFÉ era MEDIOCRE y el local NO ERA HIGIÉNICO. Definitivamente una TRAMPA PARA TURISTAS y una ESTAFA.

Went here a few days ago and the 2 guys working were incredibly rude and disrespectful. The food was of a very bad standard, the coffee worse. We found numerous hairs in one of our pasta dishes and the staff thought it was funny. The cutlery, crockery and glass ware were filthy. This cafe may be cheap but at best it is nasty on many levels, service, staff, food and hygiene. This is the worst dining experience in all my travels.They got the IL part correct in their name , very ill and no sole (soul ) .AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There re some great cafes within 50 metres of this . Florence has some wonderful places to eat, this is definitely not one of them. The guys that worked here on the day we went should be ashamed of their behaviour.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE TWICE. The first time I came with friends ordered a coffee and my friends ordered food, I was told by the owner that I wasn’t allowed to have the Wi-Fi password because we didn’t order enough food? Even though it says free Wi-Fi. Came back today to try for a better experience. I ordered an espresso and sat down, only to be told by the same woman that I did not order enough to sit down. And then I either had to order more food or leave. So I left. With 1000 cafés within walking distance, it’s a little hard to believe she treats her customers this way. I would suggest anywhere else, cheaper coffee, better quality, free seating, free Wi-Fi literally anywhere else. She gives a very bad look to florentines.

We came across this cafe one day after leaving our hotel on the way to visit one of the museums and it turned out to be our favourite place for breakfast so we ended up returning a few times. The menu is perfect - a few dishes, nothing fancy, all for a reasonable price. It is made right there and everything we had was just lovely. The staff were very friendly and the service was impeccable.

Este cafecito/restaurante es lindísimo y delicioso. Su propietaria es una mujer muy sonriente y amable que prepara ella misma todo lo que se pide. Hemos comido Gnocchi al Pomodoro, Scaloppini al funghi, Instalata di Pollo entre otras cositas ricas. Hemos desayunado, almorzado y cenado varias veces. Hoy volvimos a Florencia y repetimos. Es un lugar muy cálido y la comida de verdad es deliciosa y a unos precios que los latinoamericanos que venimos de paseo a estas tierras Fiorentinas podemos pagar y se paga con gusto.

I've eaten so many croissants (cornetti) in Italy all over, and so far this is the best one I've had. I had a pistachio cornetto. What made it the best was how light and buttery it was. The bread melted in my mouth with only a slight chewy texture. It was not dense at all in any sections. The pistachio filling was light and more jam like compared to the icing type pistachio filling at other places. PERFECTO!

My mom and I were in Florence desperately trying to find a place to eat and we sat down and were so surprised at the excellent quality of the ravioli of the day and the chicken salad. The portions were generous and well priced. It was a breath of fresh air to be able to eat well without worrying about the exorbitant prices the rest of the city has. Drinks were great too!

La peor decision antes de abandonar la ciudad, fué ser atendida por la camarera (rubia de pelo corto). MUY MUY DESAGRADABLE. Pedimos un café para llevar y una botella de agua. Nos demoramos unos minutos buscando un documento en la mochila y nos dijo que si habiamos pedido el café para llevar, por qué seguiamos alli?? Nos quedamos de piedra. Por favor que la despidan por el bien del establecimiento, porque en sí el sitio tiene buena pinta. Lastima que haya gente así.

Very lovely staff who made me a tailored breakfast! ❤️ Good quality of food and drinks. Very affordable- price vs quality is a 5/5! We decided to come back for a beer and spritz in the afternoon. This is one of the few cafes in the area that are open early in the mornings. We had the Italian breakfast, which includes cappuccino, croissant and orange juice each. The owner is really friendly and welcoming to English speaking tourists. We enjoyed our coffees and croissants. It was nice and quiet early in the day. If you have a day tour and need to grab something to eat beforehand, this is a great place.

كنت بالقرب منه وأردت أن اشتري فهوة ولكنه عنصري جدا جدا ، فلمجرد أنني عربية وربما لأني محجبة او مسلمة لا ادري ولكنه قرر تجاهلي تماما ، فقد دخلت للمقهى وقلت صباح الخير وكأنه لا يرى أحدا دخل المكان الذي هو وشريكته التي كانت أيضا تعد القهوة في نفس الوقت وقلت ربما لم يسمعني فقلت سأطلب ما اريد ربما يسمعني ولكن تجاهل وجودي تماما ، ودخلت امرأة بعدي فرد عليها مباشرة وبدأ بإعداد طلبها !

Piliśmy w tym miejscu tylko kawę. Była dobra ale mieli tylko zwykle mleko, bez opcji roślinnych czy bez laktozy. Pani, która nas obsługiwała nie była zbyt miła, czuliśmy jakbyśmy jej przeszkadzali swoją obecnością. Łazienka nie była zbyt ładna i było w niej sporo mało zabawnych a bardziej nieuprzejmych „próśb”.

The food was good but the lady got frustrated with us because my sister had allergies. The menu deals are set no chance of switching a orange juice for say peach if you have allergy. You also cannot substitute soy milk if your vegan for the menu deal you must pay separately. The redberry croissant was delicious and the cafe was cute. I give a 4 star only for the attitude of the lady at the shop.

Exactly what we were looking for. The food and service generated a feeling of being at home or at your italian grandmothers place. Really fair prices and a quality time. We practically ordered the whole menu and drinks, being famished as always and the quick service satisfied these needs far beyond our high expectations.

Food at fair prices just when you need it. This small restaurant offers a variety of food (pasta, breakfast, coffee) all at affordable prices, when many restaurants are closed. Seating is limited and there is no AC (that I could tell) but service was prompt and very friendly. Great place to stop and get a bite to eat in Florence.

Finally made it here the day before leaving Firenze. The pastas cost 6€ and you can choose from a pretty wide selection (I had the carbonara). They have a separate menu for different flavours of hot chocolate (I didn't have any though). My coffee was priced as listed -- no table service charge here unlike a lot of other places. And they play really interesting music.

It is an ok place. Sitting outside is good although there is a big incline on the pavement. The lady who serves seems to be running the store herself by preparing the coffee and the paints which brings a homely vibe. Prices are very good in comparison to other places.

Yesterday I had an early breakfast here with a cornetto con crema and cappuccino. The coffee was ok but the cornetto was the worst one I had in my entire life. I couldn't believe it was actually happening in the middle of Florence. It was like a stale cornetto with a piece of frozen cheap margarine inside. And the staff was really unfriendly. Awful awful.

Everything that we tried was fantastic. We went for breakfast there for three days in a row. The croissant with chocolate was perfect and the cappuccino too. The lady who was serving us was really kind.

Titolare maleducata e irrispettosa, per avere chiesto una precisazione sul conto ho subito un insulto RAZZISTA, peraltro ho notato che durante la preparazione dei piatti utilizza le stesse stoviglie per assaggiare e mescolare le pietanze, un vero schifo considerando anche i prezzi da ladri, INCOMPETENTE, MALEDUCATA, RAZZISTA, LORDA E ARROGANTE!!

Sconsigliato vivamente per rischio alla salute ma anche e soprattutto per la maledizione della proprietaria un esempio di fiorentina antipatica, scortese e maleducata! …

Trovato per caso ma pienamente soddisfatti . Cucina casalinga, buona e di buona qualità. La proprietaria, una persona solare, piacevolissima ci ha coccolati. Infatti siamo tornati per cenare e siamo andati via portando via un ricordo tenero della persona. Torneremo a Firenze e torneremo da Libera. Grazie per la bella accoglienza.

Wasnt staying far away so we went for coffee in the mornings, owner was very friendly. Had a meal in the late afternoon the owner had ran out of lasagna but suggested we have a fresh pasta with sauce, the pasta was freshly made and we all enjoyed it and was good value for money. If in florence again we will definitelly go back

Very pleasant in the early morning! I purchased a cappuccino, cafe americano, and a chocolate croissant - all of which exceeded my expectations for quality and provided quite the caffeine boost! Only €5 for all of this which I found unbelievably affordable, considering the quality of their coffee and pastry.

Very good service (feels home made), delicious taste, big portions and low prices because its far from busy piazzas… if i would change something it would be the chairs, theyre a little unconfortable if you wish to stay a little longer

Prezzi un pelo più bassi essendo appena fuori dal centro. I tavoli esterni sono un po' scomodo in quanto posizionati su un marciapiede in pendenza. Inoltre ciò che usano per fare quello che chiamano specificando APEROL spritz, non è sicuramente Aperol: uno dei peggiori della mia vita.

We were just arrived in Florence on "Ferragosto" (15th of August it's an holiday in Italy!! ), most places were closed, we had no expectations but they surprised us with very tasty sandwiches freshly made and an homey service. Prices were very reasonable so its highly recommended!

AWFUL EXPERIENCE, the OWNER is very RUDE. I was told to leave the place with hand movements and bad manners just because I wasn't eating and drinking more. Then I went to the bathroom and she said to me 'Dime' repeatedly, in a weird way. Save your time and money.

Fantastic and friendly place for an espresso or cappuccino! As early risers we love that it opens at six. Great prices and lovely staff members.

I would go back again for the excellent Caprese Salad. The pasta dishes we had were good as was the American coffee and the prices. The staff was welcoming which made it a great stop for a protracted lunch.

This place is worked by some lovely people. Try the cappuccino. It is priced lower than most places, comes with more drink, and is served quick. My go to spot in Florence for coffee and drinks. 5/5.

Stopped in for an aperitivo before our dinner reservation. Very cute caffé. Nice little patio. Good spritz and some salty snacks. No cover charge. Would recommend for a snack or a quick meal.

Café il Sole was very friendly and welcoming. The food freshly made was extremely tasty. One amusing feature were the sparrows that pop in and hop around looking for dropped crumbs.

It's a local restaurant. Simple menu but good price and taste. They even have American style breakfast.

Pasta portions are large, tasty and cheep. I also recommend peposo (beef) and tiramisu and cheesecake.

Cappuccino (€1.50) is good, best without sugar Croissants (€1) are yummy! Staffs are quite friendly
