Went for the first time with a large group and we were all happy with our experience! Everyone was so friendly and attentive from Tim, the bouncer to Bianca and everyone else in between. Bianca helped us coordinate everything leading up to our event and even assisted throughout the night to make sure everything was meeting our expectations. We were greeted at the front by the manager (I cant remember his name) but he did a great job at making us feel welcome. The waitresses made our guest of honor feel special by making a grand entrance and constantly cleared our empty drinks and made sure everyone had what they needed. We reserved the VIP which was comfy and spacious enough for our group. My only complaint toward the venue would be that although everything went well, the prices are very high, even considering the service we received. If it wasn't for that, I would have rated 5 stars. My only other complaint is completely out of the control of the venue (not used against them in my stars rating) but we did have people who weren't a part of our group helping themselves to our party favors and treats. All in all, although I am not much of a clubbing type of person, we had a blast and would return if we ever had the chance and would recommend it to others. Thank you Bianca for all of your help and going the extra mile to help me make this event special, that was very much appreciated!

As a new visitor to the city I wanted to find a spot to relax and have some drinks, do some dancing and enjoy my time with friends. I only been to the first floor but I had noticed a second floor with a different music playing. I liked the atmosphere and the bartenders were nice and friendly. They suggested some good drinks to my friend and they had variety of cold beer. The dancing floor is spacious and I noticed they offered services like for birthdays and etc. They also had dancing performers and they had skillful lady dancing on a cloth rope. It was something interesting and unique because I never seen that live and it was something different than a pole. It did get packed but not in a bad way and despite the busy hour the bartenders were able to serve me in a reasonable timing. The music was good. They played variety of music. Some hip hop, regatton, and some techno. The drinks were decent price. I do keep in mind it's downtown prices. They are also fair with the amount of liquor in the shots. I'd definitely go there again. The staff and bouncers were friendly and also gave us a description of the vibe. When I was there I did only see one argument occur but the staff were actually able to handle it in a very good and timely manner that it didn't not disturb anyone. The crowd was a mix and everyone seemed to be enjoying their time and the music. I'd definitely go there again.

Went out with my friends last Saturday night, extremely different from the first time we went when cake first opened. The cashier in the front didn't have any money to make change for a $20 so I had to go back to her several times throughout the night to get my money back. Me and my friends waited at the bar for almost 45mins with no service but watched the one female bartender serve every new face in front of her and had no clue that there was other people around the bar. When I tried speaking to a manager about the situation they basically didn't care and told us to either leave or keep waiting. We ended up leaving if your okay with people waiting almost an hour to get a simple drink and can't even enjoy a night out then you either shouldn't be a nightclub manager or get more help at the bar. Overall I feel that since cake has opened in some ways it's just already gone downhill. Before I felt there was this nice dress code and sense of almost Vegas like nightclub and you had to dress a little nicer to go but no, it seems that its lost some of that appeal that was advertised when Cake first opened.

Very disappointed. Was excited to try this place out at first. When we arrived we waited in line for a while, and mind you, this line was not long. Once we got to the front I peeked in and there was NO ONE THERE. Why were we waiting for so long? We’ll never know. On top of that they gave my boyfriend a hard time because there were draw strings on my boyfriends Volcom pants and they said they don’t allow athletic wear. Are you joking? Have you not seen joggers or even fashion now days? Meanwhile there are guys on the patio with basketball shorts and wife beater shirts?? Interesting. Also, why we paid a cover to enter an empty club is beyond my recollection. The decor and inside does seem nice but it’s also very foggy and unbelievably hot inside. It takes forever to get drinks, depending on the bartenders and the people who work there, from the security to the bartenders, are not friendly at all. Our group ended up leaving after and hour and ended the night at Effex. All in all disappointing.

Its Albuquerque, decor was good for a night club. We got in about 11, was dead. Picked up about midnight. Dress code is disappointing, guys in shorts and tank tops flip flops, but thats what Albuquerque seems to do. Crowd was normal for down town. If you are out of town visiting just know downtown Abq is a little rough at night. The bartenders we had were pretty poor. First girl didnt want to come over to serve us, then she didnt know what they had. She didnt know they had ginger ale, and didnt know they had Seagrams; they had both. Their drinks were VERY weak. They use 1oz shot glasses that they fill 3/4 full at best. Very disappointing. Music was good, second floor was hiphop and rap, first was more EDM vegas style. Lights and ambiance was very good. Cash only to get in. But they take cards at the bar. We had higher hopes for the place, but with the perspective its Albuquerque, was was decent.

I was designated driver tonight for my friends. Allegedly I stumbled through the door going in, which is a lie but is their alibi. I was driving for my friends all night and we had no problem getting into anywhere else. It was only here that security that gave us a problem for me (the only sober one & driving) a problem getting in. They literally let us into their establishment then a black security guard walked upon us and denied us entry although we already bypassed first official entry. It makes no sense. It feels although they denied us gay entry since we’re all gay. Possible homophobic club? Go anywhere else. They will scam you of money. Tonight is insane, the worst establishment i’ve ever possibly stepped in. I recorded videos of this conversation upon request to anyone who would like them. I recorded only because they have made homophonic remarks before.

As a female, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the fact that they hired a female security guard! Gave me a choice of the wand or a pat down, super great that she gave people the option. She was funny and engaging and super sweet, you could tell that she obviously put not just the women but also the guys at ease. It was actually pretty epic to watch the guys reactions! I can't remember her name, but she was wearing the most amazing black lipstick! Other great things about the club: Great vibe in general! Delicious and cold drinks! Exceptional variety of both new and old music! And the VIP treatment is definitely worth the price!

Its a great club, fantastic grand opening. Bar service was awful. Took 40 m to get shots, felt like the girls were choosing certain people when clearly they saw people waiting awhile. The male bartenders were less bias and served us great. Music was amazing, but its sucks when a server drops drinks on top of the head of your gf and does nothing about it. They shouldnt be walking in the middle of the dance floor if they are providing table side service. In addition, she should of conpensated for atleast a drink or something instead of walking away.

We showed up early (around 1030 PM), and it was not busy which allowed us to get our drinks and find a place to sit. We enjoyed dancing as the crowd grew. It was a lot of fun with a great music selection. I also really appreciated the efforts the staff made to ensure the safety at that location. I routinely saw staff members walking through the crowds with flash lights and they were attentive throughout the club. Next time I'm in town, I look forward to stopping by again. :)

Cake is nice, besides the music it’s really to much early 2000s and rave type!! If that’s your thing you’ll like it. BUT DO NOT PAY WITH CARD at the Bar there is this one bartender who runs the card and gives you the “customer” copy to put your tip amount instead of the merchant copy! You should always fill out the merchant copy that’s the receipt they close out with!!!THEY WILL put their own tip a amount! so be-careful because you know drunk people don’t pay attention!

I visited Cake for Valentines day 2022. I had a VIP section for myself and my spouse. We had complimentary champagne, but I do not drink. So "Chris" the manager got me a 6-pack of Perrier to drink. Chris was so gracious in accommodating all my needs and requirements, since I was a dignitary from Michigan. The place was nice and had a "West Coast" music vibe. Brand themselves as "de caché" don't even have a POS at the front and cash only entrance?? Nobody carries cash anymore, especially if you're in central downtown at night! On top of 20 buck entrance fee, and for what!? Shady business, for sure. The music is a mix of reginal mexicano and urban latin. 2 totally different customer base, which will make you want to get out when they switch songs.. small club with no balcony, and very expensive, no thanks.

Had a bad experience the first time I went. After working with their team they offered and expedited a make it right situation. I was thoroughly happy with their offer, service, and the experience. We Still ended the night at Effex tho. Whoever the woman is that took care of us when we arrived was extremely professional, nice, and definitely took her job seriously. And the bartenders upstairs were awesome too. Thanks cake! Definitely made it right.

cake nightclub is a pretty cool club. It has great staff overall! Very friendly especially the security! Amanda was very funny, kind and welcoming while doing her job! Another security guard (very tall blonde hair) male very soft spoken and chill while giving us some information on Cake. it was my boyfriend and my friends first time at cake but if you are hesitant to go give it a try! we went yesterday on a Saturday night around 11pm!

This place has been my recent go to with friends met a lot of amazing people and workers. The music is a mix of the new generation and old so I’m sure you’ll find something to dance to. You’re safe in this environment their security are walking around checking on people 24/7. Especially Tristan (bouncer) he would be my go to if I ever felt unsafe. If you guys go enjoy and have an amazing time out.

My friend lost her wallet and we stayed when the security guards were trying to kick everyone out. They were extremely rude and put one of us in a choke hold because we were not getting out while my friend was explaining her address and details of her wallet to bartender to get it back !! I will never come back to this place . The security guards did everything off of a “power trip” .

I had an amazing experience at cake! I’m not even lying, I recommend going 100%. I think I had such an amazing experience because of this security guard named, Tristen. He made sure I was okay during the night and got me water when I was not feeling so cherry. Overall he made the night sooo much better. Recommend going to cake for the amazing experience overall! Came back again and it was a bit different than last time. I went in and paid their cover fee but have to admit it took forever to get drinks, either hire another bartender or have better urgency, stars went from 3 to 2 because that is the service you guys offer. Get some glasses or contacts if you cant see the problem you have at this so called "night club".

Visiting from Texas this past Weekend. Staff was friendly and my bartender took really good care of me despite my first order being a little harder than it had to be. I think she said her name is Felicia but the music was loud enough for that to be wrong. If I'm ever in town again I will stop by. Felicia, you get an auto 50% for dealing with me, lol

Was nice inside. However lady working cover charge area was letting her friends and cousins friends in free. Then charged me and couple after $10.00 to get in. I called her out on it, she laughed in my face. If wasn't friends party there would left. Other posts about the discrimination was very obvious. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Waited in live for a long time. Got in and noticed it was very hotted humid in the club even on the upper level. Took 40 minutes to get a beer. Bartenders weren't very nice. I will not recommend this club, Effex is a lot more fun and has nice decor. Everything in Cake felt and looked cheap. Will not go back or recommend.

I always love my experience when I go to Cake Nightclub. I always get greeted with a warm welcome and smile from TRISTEN! He always is so friendly and kind to myself and all my friends, he is great at what he does, and is always so helpful. My friends and I will definitely be going back to Cake!

Don't get bottle service at this club, the girls take your bottle back and claim you finished and try to sell you another bottle. Called them out when we caught them the second time and the girl brought our unfinished bottle back. Talked to Leo the GM and told me its because the girl was “new”.

The drink prices were inconsistent, I had a tequila shot downstairs then went up stairs and they kept saying different prices. Also the entrance fee was different for different people I think?!? Tf?! BRING EAR PLUGS, the music is excruciatingly loud.

Cake is an awesome night club! Super fun, great music, yummy drinks from the best bartenders Andrea and Jeremy. And you feel super safe with the security guards walking around, Kyle was nice and you entered the club and made you feel safe as he made his rounds around the club!

Super fun environment for my friends and I. I had been to a few places and ended up here for a birthday weekend and Tristen the bouncer made me feel safe and was pretty friendly. The bar was also pretty quick with getting drinks to us but I don't remember the bartenders name
