I lived in Calgary in late sixties and early seventies and had discovered this location and had a significant hand in persuading our association in buying the 5 acre lot for $ 60,000.We had about half of the funds but a Lebanese businessman lent the association the remaining on the condition that whenever its subdivision was allowed the lot will be split.An Afro - American student who had embraced Islam (Brother Salaudin from California) worked very hard to get approval from the Mayor for permission to build the mosque against strong opposition .This is a bit of history of this Islamic Center.

I came from out of town to pray Juma during Covid but I guess they could only accomodate the brothers because of space restrictions. While I couldn’t pray as a female the kind parking lot attendant offered me to pray with his wife at his house instead. Very kind and thoughtful. Thank you for the warm Albertan hospitality . It looked like a lovely place from the outside. Inshallah May Allah bless this masjid and the people running the Juma prayers. It wasn’t my qismet this time but Inshallah I have another opportunity to pray inside if I ever return to Calgary again.

As much as it pains me to write this review, I wish I can give a zero star for the way they treated my family, after my father passed away in 2013. It was so disgraceful and disrespectful. The numerous office staff we had to deal with were so rude and unhelpful. His tombstone took 8 years to finally get placed. This happened after a number of phone calls, emails and fights over why they took so long. Not to mention the fact that they moved his burial site (we have photographic evidence). Awful experience

If I could give zero star rating I would. Absolutely disgusted and saddened at the handling and 8 year delay of my fathers Tombstone. The blatant disrespect, mishandling and dismissive response after payment was collected has not only caused undue distress on my family, but I have lost faith in this institution all togather. Thank you for the reminder that business comes before Islam to you guys.

Spacious prayer hall, good sermon, tranquil recitation of Quran, daily, weekly community spiritual, Islamic training classes, play area for kids, ample parking, great seminary, superb city views vantage location. Burial services, matrimonial services, marriage counseling, Library, group visitation of scholars from other parts of Canada. Blessed place to be!

Very beautiful mosque it quiet far from my home but on weekends if we are around that area we definitely go there for pray. On the top of that arrange different programs for different age groups and specifically for women’s . And they arrange the heritage day to explore more knowledge and welcoming for everyone.

Located well into the heart of calgary close to downtown. Has well arranged prayer areas for men and women alike. But snow sometimes proves a hassle as the driveway is uphill and the massive parking alas gives in to the snow studded small driveway which sometimes leads to vehicle block issues.

It's one of the best mosques in Calgary and one of the Oldest in calgary. The inside and out side is kept clean and up to date and they also have place to wash and perform Janazzah here.If I am around or even near the area I make a point of going there to pray.

The staff and volunteers are friendly, welcoming, and willing to answer any questions you may have. They are also knowledgeable about Islamic traditions, rituals, and customs, making it an excellent opportunity to learn more about Islam and Muslim culture.

Great place with central location, for public transport it’s very accessible through ct rain station while the bus stops are also nearby . If you are coming through a Parking space is huge. Mosque has enough space with segregation for men and women

The beautiful Calgary Islamic Centre SW Masjid is a beautiful mosque for Sunni Muslims. The architecture reminds me of the mosques in Cairo, Egypt. I miss my vacations in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) when I see its exterior design. I

Masjid with full activities for adult, women, youth and kids. Full of friendly family. They are welcoming us warmly. It's near Sirocco CTrain station at SW area. Plenty space of parking. During summer time, Friday payer at 2 pm and 3 pm.

Very nice masjid. Great khateebs, plenty of parking for jummah. Really nice wudu facility as well. Plenty of quran mushafs and other books also if you want to do some reading. Right near the train station also, so it's very convenient.

This mosque has a special place in the heart of the Chybli family. My father was given the honor of breaking ground here in the early 70’s. It’s always been run professionally. Always clean and well kept.

Every Friday at noon I go to the mosque for Friday prayer. It's a really excellent mosque, I feel really relaxed and calm when I'm in the mosque.

MashaAllah beautiful masjid with lots of parking. Masjid is spacious and is open for all the salawat and first juma is at 12:30pm.

One of the best places to offer prayers in congregation and commingle with our brothers in Islam. Imam’s recitation is so amazing.

Very nice masjid with great interior renovations. Very convenient because it is close to the LRT station.

Great place with good sheikhs, parking is usually packed for Fridays so make sure you get there early.

The masjid isn't only for praying (salah) but also there are many activities for children and society.
