I recently moved to Burlington and was having a hard time finding a reputable hair salon. I noticed California Hairworks on a drive home so I called the next day to make an appointment for a haircut. The lady I spoke with was very friendly. I arrived for my hair appointment and was quickly introduced by the receptionist and another hairstylist close by. Right away I felt comfortable and excited. My stylist sat me down and we discussed the look I wanted. She listened and understood my wants and concerns, and she was also very knowledgeable and gave recommendations about what would be best suited for my hair type. I was offered something to drink and the whole experience was great. I was also greeted by other stylists/workers and had friendly conversation. con: it would be great if I can make an appointment through the site! (maybe I am just too lazy)

I completely messed up my hair. I tried to colour my own hair during lockdown.... it was a complete disaster. My hair was already not in good shap after a $500 job at an upscale salon in Burlington. I was scared to go somewhere again and have my hair ruined further so I attempted to do it myself. BIG MISTAKE..LOL..It was over processed and very uneven after i was done. I come here and although she wasn't able to completely correct my hair she had wonderful customer service. She did her absolute best to correct what she could and save what she could from my length. I'm still not totally comfortable with how my hair looks but I feel much better moving forward that I'm in good hands.

I needed to find a new hair stylist so I went on the web and checked out reviews and other information. I saw the great reviews posted for Paula at California Hairworks and decided to give Paula a try. I called in and spoke with a very nice and friendly woman and was able to get in to see Paula in two days. I was greeted when I arrived and made to feel very welcomed. Paula asked what I wanted and then she gave me some choices with great explanations on each. I was so happy when she was done, she did any excellent job and I have now found my new hairstylist!

Love going there, I always see Chantal, she's fabulous ❣️ always happy with the results, she takes time to ask what I want and offers suggestions based on her knowledge and experience Just adding an update Finally after 3 years finally got back to Chantelle for a haircut Love this woman and her skills! If you're looking for an expert who's personable and a master at her craft !! Make an appointment with her And sorry OMG I spelled Chantelle's name incorrectly the first time so sorry Woman !❣️

I've never been a "regular" at a salon, usually going last minute as a walk-in to whatever salon would have me. But what a difference California Hairworks has made. I've been seeing Chantelle for all my hair cut and colour needs for a few years now and she is fantastic. She understands what I like, what I don't, and can gauge when I'm comfortable trying something new. She is a wizard with colour, which can be especially difficult with hair as dark as mine. I cannot recommend this salon, and especially Chantelle, enough.

This salon is exceptionally clean, very well kept and professional at all angles. Damiano’s service is the best I have ever experienced in the industry with a plethora of knowledge he drops on you, fantastic conversation every time without fail and incredibly enlightening tips and tricks as to how you can keep your hair looking and feeling it’s best !! I haven't had a haircut in almost 10 years as I've been growing it out to donate on a few occasions. I had my appointment with Phil and he just knew what I was looking for after I started describing it. He was very friendly and made the whole experience so comfortable on top of giving me an amazing style that I still get compliments on. I found this place after living overseas for a few years and, as long as I can, I will keep going back!

This is a great spot for your hair styling needs. Damian is the best and a true master of his craft! I've been going to Damian for 19 years for my haircuts. I have referred many friends and family to him over the years. He is a true professional and always up to date with new styles and trends. I trust noone else with my hair. I've been going to California Hair for years (previously Central Hair) and it has been the best place in Burlington that I have found. I tried a few places and even a few stylists at California Hair. I love Debbie here specifically. She always remembers what I like, but is great at adjusting if I want something slightly different as well. A great experience overall!

Damian is an expert in all things hair! He’s been cutting my hair for years and has always done an excellent job. Damian also provides a variety of other services including waxing. Website says they take dropins, so I scheduled my day accordingly, but then was told they couldn't accommodate me even though they had only one client in the salon and what looked like multiple employees. Disappointing, new to the area and looking for a good local place.

Saw the great reviews and thought I'd try it and was not disappointed! The staff is very friendly. Paula cut my hair and I love it. I only had a general idea of what I wanted but she knew exactly what to do and it turned out fabulous. I will definitely be back.

Ask to leave a bit in the front, Russian guy cuts it straight across in the standard Russian haircut. Also somehow cut the frontmost hair shorter than the hair behind it. Now a month and a half later and it STILL looks terrible.

Philip the owner called me 1 hour before my appt to tell me he was not available. Wanted me to change my entire day to accommodate his schedule. I had other appts and commitments, leaving to go on vacation in the morning.
