This is a great place to worship and learn about God and the Bible. They do a verse by verse, and chapter by chapter teaching. The pastor care about the people and is genuine. He is very pleasant and spiritually gifted to teach. This church does not have the elaborate settings of a Hollywood type of church like what we see on the television. This is a church that I think God is using to preach his word as He intended. If anyone is looking for a church where he or she would grow spiritually, then this is your church. Very friendly staff and people too.

I've been to a lot of churches in Jax since I moved here in November of 2010. I had a lot of bad experiences and had been "church hurt" by "Christians" Calvary Chapel West Jax was my last attempt at a church. the church is not a building, it's the people-Believers. These Believers (followers of Jesus) are real. They are the most loving, non-judging, caring, helpful and Biblically truthful church I have ever been to. They say my hurt and embraced me and brought me into their family. I love them.

Caring and very Spiritual. Very Welcoming to All. Helpful and concerned. Large Prayer Teams. Loving Couples, as well as Single Parent Support. Large Home School Community. Children are involved often n Worship time. Uplifting Singers, Teens Welcomed in Singing. Monthly Pot Bless, we have great Cooks, Bakers n warm hearted Servers & Kitchen Group. Infant Care n Feeding Area thats Quiet n Comfortable for Mommies , both Seasoned & New. Lots of vut2laried age children! No ones left out!

Pastor Allen teaches God’s Word with each message while going through Scripture verse by verse. He will interpret contemporary issues according to God’s Word. Controversial topics are not avoided but neither are they dwelt upon. While going through verse by verse, chapter by chapter; issues are covered in a balanced manner. People may feel convicted where Scripture convicts. This leads to repentance and restoration. Here, biblical truth is taught with both boldness and love.

As we take communion today at Calvary Chapel West Jacksonville, we are reminded by Pastor Allen that becoming closer to Christ and living Christ-like lives is not merely living with the absence of sin, but with the presence of love. We are called to love. We love without wondering if the person is deserving of our love because if we love like God loves us, then we know that while we were still sinners and undeserving of grace and mercy, Christ gave his life for us.

Very welcoming church with an awesome leader who delivers the word in a way everyone understands. My family has thoroughly enjoyed attending church and bible study. They have an awesome flock of believers who treat you the way Jesus would. I highly recommend this church to strengthen you in your journey.

Absolutely love this place! Pastor Allen is a great speaker and is not afraid to cover the hard topics verse by verse so we can learn what the Bible truly says. So glad we started attending. My family has quickly fallen in love with the people here! They make you feel like family! 100% would recommend!

Calvary Chapel is a very loving church and is grounded in the Word. I am truly blessed to be a part of this Faith Family.❤️. I have been to various churches and have never experienced the joy I receive here.
