Walk in from 7am, sit down, take in the flow of people who ebb and flow on their daily tasks taking on anything from a superb espresso to a short glass of sagres beer or an early morning/post shift shot of macieira. The pastries are fresh out of the bakers hatch and coffee short and deep. Would be there every morning if I lived nearby
Excellent Portuguese pastry shop, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon coffee. There is no menu so you order from the numerous glass shelves of delicious salgados and doces / savoury and sweet cakes and pastries. It looks chaotic but is actually extremely organised and efficient. Very good value and delicious.
Unpretentious cafe and bakery. Good coffee and tasty pastries served by really nice staff. This place seemed to be popular with locals and had a relaxed atmosphere and lots of seating. We have been twice for a morning coffee and pastel de nata while discussing tourist plans for the day.

The best Pasteis de Nata and Bolos de Salsicha! I was always here for breakfast. You can order a nice Portuguese breakfast for two people with coffee and still pay around 6€!
