When we were planning our two-week vacation, we were worried about leaving our Australian Shepherd Echo at a boarding facility because he does not like being alone or locked up in a crate. We looked at over a dozen places all over Austin and this looked like the best option for our boy. He has separation anxiety and we have never left him overnight away from us before. We try to plan our vacations around him so that he can come along but since we were leaving the country we knew it would be too difficult to bring him. We didn't like the thought of him being locked up for two weeks in a crate or small room and left overnight while the staff goes home after the business closes for the night. After we had our first visitation, we knew Echo would be in good hands with Mark and Teri. Since they run the business out of their home, they are always with the dogs and even let the dogs sleep on their bed with them at night (like Echo is used to with us). They take the dogs outside more than several times a day and let them run around together and play. The best part is that they send videos daily of the dogs and it was so relieving knowing he was safe and having a good time. We never once were worried about him and it gave us great peace of mind and let us enjoy our vacation. We are so glad this place exists and never want to take him anywhere else in the future. For the great care the dogs get, the price is very reasonable and was cheaper than several other places nearby. It wasn't a dog-jail like many other dog boarding facilities. This is the BEST doggy daycare in Austin! I took my 1 year old “nervous” socially-challenged Aussie here and Marked gave him a chance, worked with him, and brought him out of his shell. It was hard letting him for for the day, but Mark posted videos and I could see how my Banjo was doing…not so great on the first day, but MUCH better on day two, thanks to Mark’s 1-1 time with my dog. Mark really cares, and I now know my dog is going to grow into a happier more socialized dog. I love that Mark supervised the dogs all day, and I know my dog is safe here. I have a lot of trust and confidence in Camp Zoo. There are many other brand names doggy daycares out there, but my friends have had their dogs injured and neglected elsewhere. I would take my Banjo anywhere else but here. ❤️

We have been taking our dog, Charlie, to Camp Zoo for about 10 months now, and we absolutely love it. Mark and his staff are outstanding and do such a great job watching after all of the dogs. You don’t have to worry about bringing food or treats or anything - they take care of all of that. Every time Charlie spends the day or weekend at camp zoo he comes home absolutely exhausted, so I know he had a great time. Also, he’s always so happy to see Mark when we drop him off, so I know he’s treated well. There’s an Instagram account you can follow, so you can see video evidence of your dog having the time of their life. Keep up the great work Mark and team!

My dog never looks happier than when he is walking (sprinting) into Camp Zoo Pet Ranch. It's clear the staff really cares about each and every dog and makes sure they are having a great time at camp. The large yard ensures lots of playtime for all the dogs and even in the heat they bring out pools and make sure the dogs get ample playtime inside and out. They frequently post videos on Instagram so you can check in on your pup as well. If you're looking for a daycare or boarding facility where your dog will be truly loved while also getting to spend the majority of their time running around with friends outside I highly recommend Camp Zoo!

Can't say enough positive things about this place! So glad we found it. Home-based but still very professionally run, it's the perfect combination and our dog is always excited to go in the morning. Most of the dog boarding and daycare places we looked at keep the animals kenneled for most of the day. We love that our energetic young lab comes home from Camp Zoo worn out and happy. Mark and Teri have been so accommodating of changes in our work schedule and communicative of what's going on during the day - love that they text us updates and videos. I feel totally comfortable leaving my boy with them when we are at work or out of town.

Mark and his team are amazing! Our rescue dog has significant anxiety and had likely never been boarded before. We did a lot of research looking for the right place. I chose Mark’s primarily because the dogs get so much outside time and it had such a homely (rather than corporate) feel. Could not be happier with our decision! Our pup had a great time and loved Mark! We really enjoyed the daily videos which put my mind at ease. She came home super tired and happy. We are planning on leaving for a longer vacation out of the country later this year and I will absolutely be bringing her back. Thank you Mark and your team! :)

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! They do not care about your pet. Mark, the owner, "lost" our dog with in an hour of being dropped off AND DID NOT LOOK FOR HIM FOR HOURS. Then he calls me to tell us and was rude and defensive instead caring for the dog and wanting to find him. It took 20 people searching and many nextdoor tips to find him over 5 miles away and 24 hrs later. THESE PEOPLE DID NOT HELP. Mark's ex-wife drove around for couple of hours(after hours was gone by already) and called it quits, as we searched till 3am and picked up 6:30AM again. I would give them a zero. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE, THEY DO NOT CARE!

I took my two dogs here because my usual boarding place was booked, and after their stay, I wish I had been taking them here all along! They had so much fun and made lots of new friends, and my shy girl felt comfortable enough to open up to the owners and show her true self! They were well taken care of and treated as part of the pack, and the owners made sure to send me videos and pictures at least every two days. Great place!

Mark and team are amazing. We leave our two doggies - Shi Tzu and Frenchie - with them every time we leave town. Our Shi Tzu has some separation issues but loves coming here because of all of the love and attention he gets. We look forward to the videos Mark sends everyday showing us how happy the pups are and it helps give us piece of mind while we are away.

My dog, Arlo absolutely loves it here. Whenever we pull up, he recognizes the street and doesn’t stop getting excited. He’s made tons of friends and adores Mark. Arlo always goes home and knocks right out. I love seeing my boy play with everyone else’s beautiful dogs. He hates leaving Camp Zoo. This place will forever be my and Arlos favorite place. ❤️

I have been taking my dog here for the last 2 years and they have treated her like their own. She loves the outdoor playtime, the seemingly endless supply of tennis balls, and all the love, pets, and attention they give her. They are a great place for high energy daycare play and wonderful for boarding.

Camp Zoo & Pet Ranch/Mark is great! We take our goldendoodle Kevin here and it's the first place we've left him that we are 100% confident he is in good hands! Definitely recommend!

We love Camp Zoo! The dogs get plenty of play time and are treated like family. We get videos throughout their stay to see them having fun.

Just be aware that this facility has breed restrictions so your dog may or may not get a chance regardless of their actual behavior.

Our dog is always well taken care of, and we get a video every day showing how he is getting along!
