This post office is a joke. I received a parcel (for a person who previously lived at my address) in my mailbox. I dropped off the parcel at this post office, and I wrote " this person no longer lives at this address. Please return to sender (located in British Columbia)." Two days later, the parcel is back in my mailbox. I filed a service ticket with Canada Post by phone on September 26, regarding this problem. The representative suggested I returned to the post office, to talk to an employee to make sure they realize "the parcel needs to be returned". The same day, September 26, I talked to an employee at this location. The employee was aware the parcel needs to be returned. THIS TIME, BOTH SIDES OF THE PARCELS WERE WRITTEN " this person no longer lives at this address. please return to sender." She said if this happened again in the future, I should just throw it in the garbage. The employee also said the parcel cannot be returned to B.C. (the sender or merchant) without paying a postage. I emphasized that the parcel shall not be back in my mailbox, and that she shall do whatever is appropriate. She said the parcel would be back in the warehouse. On September 27th, I received an email stating my service ticket was "completed". I thought "great, they have dealt with the problem". GUESS WHAT? ONE WEEK LATER, the same parcel IS BACK IN MY MAILBOX. I filed a complaint with Canada Post by phone on October 4th. Normally, one shall receive a response from the post office within a day or two. One WEEK later, I've NOT received a response. All I wanted them to address and investigate is 1) WHY parcels are NOT delivered and sorted in the right way; 2) WHAT HAPPENS and why it happened? and 3)What are they planning to do in the future to prevent it from happening? I called Canada Post again on October 11th: the tele-representative said it looked like this post office is not going to respond, but the tele-manager will communicate to ensure this post office does a better job educating its employees. Do I trust this post office will ACTUALLY return a parcel (I dropped off in the future)? NO. Will I waste money on gas to drive to this post office? NO. Will the problem about returned parcel be resolved? Probably NOT. They do not care to even respond or look into the problem.
Best run Canada post location in the city, hands down! The gentlemen who works here fulltime Monday-Friday knows his stuff. I always tell people to visit him if they are unsure about pricing or the best way to send something. He wont lead you wrong. He also trains all the new staff on how to work the system and send packages in the correct way. This location also gets the most pick ups of any other postal outlet in the area. If you need your package to move quickly, bring it here,
