Unfortunately, I received awful service today by an employee named Leslie. I was there to send a letter. She told me the cost would be 18 dollars. I was surprised at the steep price and asked why this is the case. She told me it has to be sent as a parcel because it will not fit the letter slot. I told her I can make it fit by rearranging what I had inside into two piles instead of one (it was small doll hats in there). She looked very annoyed and said I can try it I want to- no help offered whatsoever or even the suggestion or advice in the first place given the item was so small. I went to the side and showed her once finished that it now fits through the mail slot. She did not apologize, acknowledge, nothing, appeared to look very irritated that I was right in the first place. I asked her if I could please have the envelope re-taped given that I had opened it to rearrange what was inside. She said she has no tape and that it will be fine. I could tell it would not be fine, and I saw tape at the desk right next to her which I pointed out. How could a post office not have tape on hand? Again she looked very irritated with me but gave me the tape. She cashed me out but did not give me the survey at the end where you provide a rating to the employee you dealt with, probably because she knew my rating would not be high. I just ask that a manager connect with her so this sort of attitude issue does not happen again. I get that everyone is overworked, stressed, and tired but the least one can do as an employee is attempt to be helpful in these circumstances, especially given that I was in no way rude or gave any attitude, just voiced surprise over the cost being so high. I would avoid this location if you can.
I bought a few items on amazon and used my prime membership and I received an email stating that my package had been shipped and a few days later I received a notification that a delivery attempt had been made. I made sure to get the time off work as the items were very important and time sensitive for a client. Apparently no one was available to sign for it even though I was home all day. I then went to the post office to inquire about my package and then they said someone already picked it up. I then went home thinking it was one of my employees but when I talked to them no one said they picked it up. This order was over $500 and now I can't even get my money back because it was "successfully delivered". To summarize they didn't try to deliver the package and my package was picked up by an unauthorized person.
We sent a package to US Embassy containing very important documents like passports. The clerk put half of the address and the package couldn't be delivered. Worse, because it contained these documents, it was sent to a security facility in Toronto (when the delivery was inside Ottawa) and got stuck there for a MONTH. We came back to this store, and the new clerk had no idea what to do. I talked many times to many different people in the customer service, and it took us a long time to retrieve our package. Terrible service.
Waited 25 minutes in line and when I got to the counter the lady asked if they're ready to go and I said yep, can I just grab some tape? She said in a rude voice "well tapes right there!" Gestured to the wall where tape is for sale for an absurd price. I had a box that needed 6 inches of tape. Other Canada Post locations have complimentary tape. I left. I'll go to a different Canada Post.
I was expecting a nightmare when I arrived at 5:30 on a Tuesday night. I was pleasantly surprised when there was no line, and have nothing but good things to say about an employee named Reem who helped me. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and I was able to send two registered packages and complete my transaction in less than 5 minutes. I would absolutely come back here again.
Unfortunately it's true. Underpaid, under appreciated counter usually consisting of one person and simply awful movement of the line during busy times. I purposefully try to avoid using this Canada Post or Canada post in general due to unexpected costs and long line ups. But... at least their hours have improved. Not a fan of CP, UPS the way to go.
Hours are not correct so you have to lug in/or wheel in all of your packages after driving 20 mins, all the way to the back with your toddler in tow, for it to be closed. No sign, no update. If you plan on being closed that is fine, but lost the right hours or a sign or ANYTHING. It’s just irresponsible and lazy to not.
This post office is literally the worst. The people delivering never actually knock on the door when handing out packages so i end up having to wait for time sensitive packages. The post office itself is hit or miss. Theres one woman who’s rude and dismissive and theres another woman whos always been very nice
This Canada post location is located inside shoppers drugmart Kanata centrum. It is accessible and always available like most locations is post Canada. Highly recommended. Reviewed by Tarek Belghith from RZ Network Inc Canada
Absolutely useless and under staffed. Staff are not helpful and not clear about their company guidelines about what to do and what not to do. Rude and grumpy lady manager. What a joke.
This place often requires a long while to send or pick up a package. One employee seems efficient and friendly, but the others leave much to be desired.
Today a lady in the front desk helped me a lot ,she was kind ,fast and patience. I hope manager sees that review.Tue7thNov2023 12pm
Waited in a line of about 10 people at 6pm. No movement after ten minutes so I left. Needs way more staff than 1 person.
Probably the worst location in Kanata. Always busy and slow. Canada Post - when you’ll add more clerks in busy hours???
Not a bad place if you have 15-30 mins to kill. Extremely slow service with clerks who have no sense of urgency.
If you have hours to kill this is the place to go . There are more than 10 people waiting on the line.
Prompt and courteous service. Fair shipping prices. Knowledgeable staff. Easy day!
